Lots of tasty ties are lined up in the Welsh League Cup
Mark Allen's side met the Saints in Welsh League Cup and Welsh Cup ties last season, and the clubs have been paired again at Park Hall in the second round of next season's League Cup. In another tasty encounter, Johnny Haseldin will take his Holywell Town side to Flint Town United, while Connah's Quay Nomads have been drawn away to Ruthin Town or Penrhyncoch. Gresford Athletic or Brickfield Rangers are faced with a trip to Llandudno, while Newtown will travel to the winners of the Holyhead Hotspur v Buckley Town tie. Mold Alex will play host to Bala Town if they can get through their first round test away to Guilsfield. Flint Mountain have a first round trip to Denbigh Town and the winners will travel to Rhyl 1879 or Caersws. In the only all-Cymru Premier League match-up, Caernarfon Town will host Colwyn Bay in the second round. Wildcard entries Cardiff City and Swansea City have been handed home first round encounters with Ammanford and Carmarthen Town respectively. First round ties will be played from July 18-20, with round two encounters between August 1 and 3.

May 4 (Reuters) - Connah's Quay Nomads started the Welsh Cup final against the New Saints in Newport with only 10 men after mistakenly naming an injured player in the starting line-up, British media reported on Sunday. Nomads wanted to replace injured Kai Edwards with Chris Marriott but Saints objected to it because Marriott was not initially included among the substitutes. Marriott was brought on as substitute for Rushton in the first minute after kickoff. Saints, who won the Welsh top-flight Cymru Premier and the Welsh League Cup earlier this season, went on to beat Nomads 2-1 to win the Welsh Cup and complete the domestic treble.

TNS win Cymru Premier again as Penybont draw
