Paw Patrol Live! will have your kids falling in love with theatre as it's a kid's version of a Beyonce gig
WITH three children, over the past decade I have watched more than my fair share of episodes of smash hit Nickelodeon kids show Paw Patrol. All of my children have loved the telly smash, and my youngest, Estella who is four, is currently in the grip of her Paw Patrol phase. 4 4 So when I heard a huge theatrical version of the animated hit 'Paw Patrol Live! : The Great Pirate Adventure' was rolling into London 's Wembley Arena, it was a no-brainer for us. The chance to see Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Zuma, Rocky and my own personal favourite Rubble brought to life up-close was pretty much Estella's answer to a Beyonce concert. And as we filed into the arena alongside thousands of other excited youngsters, it was clear these pups were the pre-school version of rock stars. There was a small part of me that worried that sitting through a raucous 75-minute live version of Paw Patrol (the cartoon is typically only 22 minutes long) would leave me as the one needing 'yelp for help.' But from the minute the opening few bars of the TV show's maddeningly catchy theme song-which lives rent free in my head-rang out across the arena even my toes were tapping. As the cartoon world of Adventure Bay was brought to life in front of us, at points I was almost as sucked in as my four-year-old. The live show was a genuine spectacle with incredible puppetry which puts the much-loved pups front and centre. They are HUGE with adult puppeteers operating them, so their eyes and mouths move with such expression that after a while you forget the humans are even there. The sheer size of the pup puppets and the bright primary colours of their outfits, mean in such a big arena, even really little ones can really see the action on stage and follow it. And at points in the show the Paw Patrol pups ride in brilliantly realistic recreations of their signature vehicles. The show is really interactive too in an almost panto style. I loved watching my daughter point and scream as the rarely-sighted 'Pirate Parrot' kept popping up behind Cap'n Turbot. This live version of the show has a kid-friendly pirate theme. As hapless Turbot falls down a sinkhole into a cave and when Ruder and his team of pups go to the rescue, they find themselves on the quest for pirate gold. Kids have to solve treasure map clues along with the characters which are beamed onto a giant screen. And of course they also have great fun yelling out the show's famous catchphrases. 4 4 The distinctive costumes and high-energy performances of the actors who play Ryder, Mayor Goodway and of course dastardly Mayor Humdinger really help carry the action along. Kids also loved their foot-tapping song and dance numbers. Even fan favourite chickaletta gets in on the act at one point. Since its first theatrical version in the Autumn of 2016, the PAW Patrol Live! experience has been seen by over 7 million people worldwide, and it's easy to see why. 'Paw Patrol Live! The Great Pirate Adventure' is the perfect way to give young children their first taste of theatre and a big dose of fun. And with 39 performances nationwide across the summer-Paw Patrol really are on a roll.

Lana Del Rey thrills London crowd as she's joined onstage by Addison Rae for rousing Diet Pepsi rendition
Lana Del Rey gave fans in London a special treat when she called Addison Rae to the stage. The pair delighted the sold-out crowd at the Wembley Arena show on Thursday night as Lana, 40, continues her UK and Ireland tour. She and Addison, 24, teamed up to perform the latter's hit song, Diet Pepsi. Fans were quick to react to the videos of them singing together as they penned on X: 'ICONICCCCCCC.', 'OH MY GOD.', 'i love this so much i could cry i wasn't there omg.', 'This is so iconic.' 'Omg yesss we need the remix immediately.', 'A CULTURAL RESET!.', 'this is absolutely insaaaane omg.' It comes after last week Lana passionately kissed her husband Jeremy Dufrene onstage while performing in the Wales capital Cardiff. During her show, the singer songwriter stopped mid-performance to run up to her husband, who was standing backstage. She appeared to be still engrossed in their honeymoon phase when she performed the ballad dedicated to her husband, which she debuted at Stagecoach last month. In the middle of serenading both him and her audience with her song Stars Fell On Alabama at Principality Stadium, she got visibly emotional and stopped singing. In fan-taken footage, she appeared to be wiping tears away from her eyes when she walked over to him for an embrace and they kissed all over each other's faces. This came just days after she celebrated her birthday with the swamp boat tour guide and her in-laws. During the performance, the Summertime Sadness singer wore a blue, floral tea dress as she walked around her Southern home porch-inspired set and sang her hits. At the edge of the stage, Dufrene, sporting a baseball hat and a casual, graphic T-shirt, was watching in admiration of his wife as seen in fan-taken footage. A smile crossed his face when Del Rey walked over to him, and they appeared to be whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears while making out. At one point, fans noticed that one of his hands slid down from her waist to her backside in a cheeky moment. The weekend before she rang in her 40th milestone birthday with her husband and their family as seen in her recent social media posts. Last year, the singer and her now-husband exchanged vows by the water in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, at the same bayou where he operates his popular swamp tours. Their nuptials came just one month after she confirmed their relationship following their secret romance. She first shared a photo with him back in 2019 after taking one of his tours from Arthur's Airboats in Des Allemandes. Years after their initial meeting, they reconnected in 2024 before getting engaged and then married in late September 2024 in what sources described as a 'whirlwind' romance. 'It's been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana's close friends hoped she would get married,' an insider said. 'Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He's a great guy.' The source added: 'He's charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She's an old soul.' This comes after she posted about her bayou birthday celebration and announced her opening acts for her UK and Ireland tour. 'Just a couple in-laws and a baby. Thank you for sharing your birthday with me cancer queen Phoenix,' she began. 'I'm still convinced I gotta be 50/50 Gemini tho, that would explain all three Lil vibes I got going on all the time,' she added. 'So excited to see everybody starting tomorrow on tour and for all the folks joining us. Truly thank you thank you love you,' she concluded.

Mariah Carey praised for 'best live vocals in years' at Capital's Summertime Ball amid claims she 'isn't singing' on new single and has been 'replaced by AI'
Mariah Carey has been praised by fans as she performed her biggest hits at Wembley Arena on Sunday for Capital's Summertime Ball. The music legend, 56, was one of the headline acts for this year's concert and didn't disappoint. Appearing on stage, Mariah showed off her incredible physique in a figure-hugging black mini playsuit with black tights. Mariah closed the ball, and kicked off her setlist with her 1995 hit Fantasy, before Emotions and Hero. The diva then serenaded the crowd with Always Be My Baby as well as Type Dangerous, Touch My Body and It's Like That. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The All I Want For Christmas singer brought the Summertime Ball to a close with her 2005 single We Belong Together. Reacting to her live performance, Mariah was showered in praise by fans who claimed it was her 'best vocals in years'. Taking to social media, one concert-goer said: 'Mariah at the #SummerTimeBall - best live vocals from her in years…and hit after hit after hit. Bring on Brighton Pride.' A second posted: 'Mariah killed it at the #Summertimeball looking and sounding incredible.' While a third enthusiastic fan wrote: 'MARIAH F****** CAREY What a performance! Omg! NO ONE can say s**t! That voice is HEALTHY, confidence is BACK, and baby that mic was ON!' It comes after fans had claimed Mariah had been 'replaced by AI'. She returned to the music scene with a new rap single last week called Type Dangerous, but a lot of fans have pointed out that Mimi sounds different compared to before. 'Is it just me or it doesn't sound like Mariah at all,' asked one confused listener. 'Is it just me or does Mariah's new song sound like a JLo song? Also… she sounds nothing like herself, the overproduction is weird. Doesn't sound like her even a little,' wrote another. A third wrote, 'Now who is singing bc that doesn't sound like Mariah.' However, other fans argued that the talented vocalist was just using a different style of singing. It comes after Mariah left some of her Australian fans confused after appearing disinterested as she sat down for an interview with The Project. The pop diva gave a series of short answers, sometimes uttering single word reposes in a bored monotone while speaking with host Georgie Tunny. When asked how she handles criticism, Mariah replied simply: 'By not coping is what I do.' After a pause she continued: 'I mean, just don't pay attention to it, you know? And everybody else goes through it, so... whatever.' The singer was also asked what she'd like on her tour rider for her upcoming Aussie tour, to which Mariah oddly replied in deadpan: 'A kangaroo.'

Lola Young walks off stage in tears as Capital Summertime Ball is blighted by technical difficulties
Capital's Summertime Ball got off to a tricky start with the all-star concert blighted by technical difficulties. The annual music event took place on Sunday at Wembley Arena in London, with a slew of the world's favourite singing stars in attendance, including Lola Young. But when it came to her performance, the popstar's ear piece stopped working, causing her to walk off the stage after just two songs. During her performance of Messy Lola, 24, said: 'Sorry guys my ears are going in and out.' before shouting out, 'Can I get some new ears?' As she tried her hardest to sing along to her own lyrics, she couldn't keep in time with the band, so tried to power through, instead asking her fans to: 'Sing along please'. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. After a few attempts of trying to sing again, she still couldn't hear and said to the crowd: 'It's like they're doing it on purpose' before letting the song end and then walking off the stage, appearing to be in tears. Whilst it is unknown if her set finished early, Eurovision 's Remember Monday then came on to sing their aptly named song, What The Hell Just Happened? And it wasn't just Lola's performance which seemed to have problems. Zara Larsson's mic dropped out during her time on stage and the live YouTube stream, was delayed by twenty minutes, meaning viewers were not up to speed with the performances. Fans were less than impressed, taking to social media to fume their disappointment urging Capital 'to do better'. One penned: 'i feel so bad for lola young, capital do better #CapitalSTB' 'Bring Lola Young back #messy #capitalsummertimeball #capital #CapitalFMsSummertimeBall #CapitalSTB #bringlolayoungbacknowpls' 'I feel so sorry for these artists because w*f are these technical difficulties today?! :// you're at Wembley stadium and have had months to prepare for this ffs #CapitalFMsSummertimeBall' But when it came to her performance, the popstar's ear piece stopped working, causing her to walk off the stage after just two songs 'i feel so so so so bad for lola omg #CapitalFMsSummertimeBall' 'good for lola in ears stopped working. deadass sprant back to the band so she could hear them playing and she's actually got an insanely good voice.. those belts... okay diva i'm listening... #CapitalSTB' 'Whoa, Lola Young calling out sabotage on her live vocals at Summertime Ball? That's some serious tea! Any details on what happened or who she's pointing the finger at? #CapitalSTB #LolaYoung' 'WHY IS THIS STREAM 20 MINUTES BEHIND. lola young's set being a disaster and then now i have to wait to watch reneé's set when it's happening right now???' MailOnline has contacted Capital FM and Lola Young's representative for comment. It's not the first time Lola has had to deal with unexpected problems on stage, after her debut at Coachella festival earlier this year. The singer suffered with the heat as she took unwell on stage and was forced to run off to vomit. The musician took to Instagram a week after her performance to share a video montage of herself powering through the set in between gags before she ran off asking: 'Can I get a bucket?' Yet despite the wave of nausea and sickness she still pushed through and completed her performance. Posting the series of clips from the set to her 1.4 million Instagram followers, she comically captioning the video: 'Not me doing my first Coachella & gagging & throwing up all the way through the set.' It's not the first time Lola has had to deal with unexpected things on stage, after her debut at Coachella festival earlier this year However, Lola didn't let the illness defeat her, as another clip showed her returning to the stage and twerking, and was captioned: 'And I'm back n twerking my way through the sickness.' In the final clip, she jokes to the crowd: 'That wouldn't have been cute if I threw up.' She humorously captioned it: 'If ur coming today maybe it'll be messier. Trying to hang in there with all my power.' Sharing the montage, Lola admitted nerves may have gotten the best of her: 'I was nervous guys and it was 40 bloody degrees.'
