Police identify woman who died in west Edmonton
Edmonton police have found and contacted the family of a woman who died in west Edmonton in June. On Tuesday, police sent out a release asking for the public's help identifying a 30 to 40-year-old woman found dead in the area of 121 Avenue and 157 Street. On Wednesday, a new release said they found her family thanks to the public's assistance. 'While we know that this identification process cannot mitigate the grief of those who have lost a loved one, investigators hope it can bring a measure of resolution to the family and friends of the deceased,' the release said. Man killed after car hits west Edmonton hotel

The 53-year-old driver of the car was treated on scene, but he died of his injuries, police said on Saturday. No one else was injured. The investigation into the crash is still underway.
