Estate owned by former Hollywood legend Bette Davis lists in Maine. See it
A picture-perfect property that looks like it was yanked straight from a Nancy Meyers' film has landed on the real estate market in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.
While it does look like it was crafted for a blockbuster movie, it has a different Hollywood connection: the estate was owned by Silver Screen legend Bette Davis.
However, the new primary home and carriage house were built in 2002 and are listed for $15 million.
'Welcome to Seascape. This incomparable oceanfront estate awaits your consideration. Imagine, if you will, after a hectic day you arrive via a secluded tree lined pathway and ancient stonewalls to take in the unfolding grandeur of 7+ private acres of groomed fields and woods,' the listing on Sotheby's International Realty says.
'Reminiscent of an English countryside setting, the site both embraces and excites as you suddenly glimpse the presence of the glittering Atlantic and 1184 feet of bold frontage.'
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is 7,600 square feet and has some stunning East Coast chic features, per the listing, including:

The estate is still referred to as the 'Bette Davis' property, according to information Sotheby's provided to McClatchy News.
Davis was known for her strong personality, quick wit and her performances in movies like 'All About Eve' and 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane.' She was also known for her wide, expressive eyes, which inspired Kim Carnes' song 'Bette Davis Eyes,' which was recently covered by artist JoJo Siwa.
The listing is held by Bill Gaynor and Sam Michaud of Legacy Properties Sotheby's International Realty.
Cape Elizabeth is about a five-mile drive south from Portland.
