Billie Eilish feels the love in Dublin: ‘You're all so beautiful -- and so pale'

Billie Eilish has spoken about her Irish heritage at her first of two Dublin gigs, admitting she feels 'so seen' amongst her Irish fans. The two-time Oscar winner played the 3Arena on Saturday night, and is set to return to the stage again on Sunday for her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. The sold out gigs saw attendees singing along to the 23-year-old's biggest hits from Bad Guy to What Was I Made For. Pic: Samir Hussein/WireImage for Live Nation Social media has been awash with footage of the gig, with one sweet moment seeing the artist speaking about the 3Arena in contrast to other venues she has played as well as her Irish background. She said: 'This venue is very different to all the other venues I've played on this tour. Usually there's a crowd all over there and I'm in the centre of the room and so it's very different and fun to have you all on my right side. It's awesome!' Billie went on to add: 'As you guys know I'm Irish so it's cool to be here.' @ 🥹 #billieeilish #billie #billieeilishdublin #dublin #billieshow @BILLIE EILISH ♬ son original – lucie The singer clarified: 'I am not from here, obviously, duh, but it's really cool to come somewhere and everyone looks exactly like you. You're all just as pasty as me, it's so amazing. It makes me feel so seen. 'Also, like, a thousand of my relatives are in the crowd now, I'm pretty sure. Thank you for having me here, you are all so beautiful. There's so many familiar faces out there.' Billie has previously spoken about her Irish background on Today FM, explaining her parents had always told her she was Irish and Scottish. 'I mean, it's cool, but I just didn't have anything to base it on — never been to Ireland, y'know. I didn't know anything really,' she said, at the time, 'And it's been actually really cool to come here.

We caught up with Lauryn Press in advance of her conducting gig: Q: When did you start playing violin, Lauryn? A: I took up the violin at age four. It was my mother's decision to play it. She also plays violin and piano. Q: What is it like studying at the VSO School of Music? A: I study with Ashley Plout one lesson a week. Then there is daily practice. ('Hopefully daily,' says her mother.) Q: You made you stage debut at the school's Strings Festival recently. What did you perform? A: I performed something by Schumann (the Two Grenadiers) and a waltz by Brahms. I haven't ever conducted before, and I'm a little nervous. After this, I don't have any other concerts coming up. Q: Did you see the Barbie movie before this show? A: Of course I saw it. And I really, really loved it. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below. Q: Was the moment when What Was I Made For? plays your favourite scene in the film? A: No. My favourite part was where Barbie flipped over in her car and they were screaming 'Aahhhh!' sderdeyn@ Read More Love concerts, but can't make it to the venue? Billie Eilish and Nat Wolff Confirm Their Romance—Will New Relationship Push Singer To Move Out of Her Parents' Home?

Singer Billie Eilish has seemingly confirmed her relationship with actor Nat Wolff while enjoying a romantic getaway in Italy—where the young couple were seen sharing a steamy kiss. The 23-year-old 'What Was I Made For' singer and the 30-year-old 'Paper Towns' actor were pictured soaking up the sun on a balcony in Venice, with images obtained by celebrity news site Deuxmoi showing the couple toasting champagne, snapping photos, and puckering up, looking every inch the loved-up duo. Romance rumors between the actor and the musician first began to swirl when they were seen leaving the iHeart Music Video Awards together and then again when they were spotted out in New York City together, as first reported by Page Six. Wolff has himself dabbled in the music industry—first, on screen while starring in the hit Nickelodeon movie 'The Naked Brothers Band' alongside his sibling, Alex Wolff; then again, onstage as one-half of the band Nat & Alex Wolff. He merged those two passions in 2024, when he took on a starring role in Eilish's self-directed music video for her hit 'Chihiro,' which was released in June of that same year. At the time, Eilish branded their connection 'inescapable.' Meanwhile, Wolff and his brother revealed that they became close friends with the singer when they opened for her 'Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour' last year. While speaking to Variety, Wolff revealed that the pair bonded over having Tourette syndrome, which is a neurological disorder that is characterized by involuntary movements or sounds that are difficult to control. 'Even when I saw Billie in interviews, I said, 'Oh, she's one of us.' We know all the ways that we try to mute ourselves or try and chill ourselves out or soften ourselves for other people, and how nice it is to not have to do that for certain people,' Wolff said. Eilish also gushed about their bond while speaking to Vogue, telling Wolff: 'My first real impression of you, when I met you, was at the Oscars after party, and I was sitting on the couch outside, and you just appeared. 'It was just like an immediate — I don't even know what we talked about, but it was an immediate — I was like, 'Yo!'' However, as the rumors about her love life intensified, the 'Lovely' hitmaker insisted that she would be keeping tight-lipped about her relationships because she felt as though she had already divulged too many details in the past. 'I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever, and I hope that they never will again. And I'm never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I'm never talking about who I'm dating ever again,' she said. It marked a major turning point for the singer, who had previously been much more open about her love life, revealing to Variety in November 2023 that she was 'attracted to [women],' before later confirming that she identifies as queer. She later admitted that she regretted being so open about her romantic history—and has since been much more tight-lipped about anything to do with her relationships, instead carrying out her dating life away from prying eyes. What remains to be seen is whether her new romance with Wolff will prompt Eilish to make another very big move: moving out of her parents' home, where she has been largely residing even as her career has skyrocketed her to global fame. Eilish's family purchased their home in Los Angeles' Highland Park neighborhood just a few months before she was born—snapping up the property in August 2001, according to records. The two-bedroom, one-bathroom home spans 1,208 square feet and comes complete with a fireplace. Because the property only has two bedrooms, Eilish's parents—who also share son Finneas—moved into the living room so that each of their children could have their own space. And while much of Eilish's life has changed since her earliest childhood years, her love of the abode has never stopped, with the chart-topper explaining in a 2022 interview with V Magazine that her lifestyle inside the property remained as normal as can be. 'My relationship with my home has not changed, just like with my parents and my brother,' she said. 'I think it's a bit jarring for some people who grew up with me or haven't seen me in a long time. … They come over to see us and see that it's exactly the same. 'It's as if you walked in here and it's 2003.' Today, the home serves as a perfectly preserved time capsule of Eilish's album-writing process—and she revealed in a previous interview with AWAL that she even recorded her first major songs, including 'Ocean Eyes,' inside her brother's makeshift studio in his bedroom. Eilish also revealed that one of the walls still has a list of the tracks from her debut album on them. In 2019, Eilish's beloved family home's address was leaked online, prompting a group of fans to flock to the property. The artist then appointed a security guard to sleep in the living room to help her family feel safer. At the time, she told Rolling Stone: 'It was really traumatizing. I completely don't feel safe in my house anymore, which sucks. 'I love my house. I've loved attention my whole life but I don't think anyone knows what fame actually is. Because if I did want to be famous it wasn't this kind.' In 2023, Eilish's family was again traumatized when a man jumped the fence and entered her property. The man allegedly began rifling through some of the family's belongings before the cops showed up and arrested him. Although she lives with her parents, the songstress is believed to have purchased a stunning home in 2019, when she was around 17 years old—a milestone moment that even featured in her second album, 'Happier Than Ever.' In the song 'NDA,' Eilish sings: 'I bought a secret house when I was 17, haven't had a party since I got the keys.' It has never been confirmed which home Eilish purchased; however, all clues lead to the property being the former residence of singer Leona Lewis. According to property records, Lewis sold the home for $2.3 million in 2019; but the buyer's name was never revealed. The home—which is just 10 minutes away from Eilish's family home—is 2,100 square feet and is the perfect place for a horse lover like the singer. The single-story ranch features a horse paddock, a goat pen, an arena, and a separate guesthouse. The main house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms along with glass doors that give residents sweeping views of the lavish pool. Meanwhile, Wolff is believed to reside in New York City's East Village, although property records indicate that he purchased a picturesque Los Angeles abode in 2023, paying $2.2 million for the three-bedroom, two-bathroom dwelling in Beachwood Canyon. Billie Eilish Returns Multiple Smashes To The Charts In A Big Week For The Singer

Billie Eilish lands multiple entries on Billboard's alternative charts this frame, led by the ... More returning "What Was I Made For?" and "Chihiro." QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC - SEPTEMBER 29: (EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE) Billie Eilish performs onstage during Billie Eilish HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR Kick Off at Videotron Centre on September 29, 2024 in Quebec City, Quebec. (Photo byfor Live Nation) Billie Eilish already ranks among the most successful musicians of all time on Billboard's alternative charts, despite the fact that she's only 23. While these rankings have only been around for a relatively short period of time — at least compared to other tallies — with just a handful of albums, the singer-songwriter has produced an impressive number of hit singles, including several that have maintained historic stays on both sales and streaming lists. As is often the case with Eilish, she appears on several of the rosters dedicated to alternative music in the United States once again. This frame, she manages to bring some of her most successful tunes back to different-but-related rankings as people keep buying and streaming her most popular works. Eilish returns to both the Alternative Digital Song Sales and Alternative Streaming Songs charts this week. She occupies multiple spaces on each ranking as some tracks rise, while others make their way back to the tallies, which focus on specific forms of consumption, but in each case, only alternative tunes. She claims a pair of spaces on the Alternative Digital Song Sales chart, doubling her count as one cut reappears. She raises her total to three current smashes on the Alternative Streaming Songs ranking as a different title bounces back onto the busy tally. Eilish's highest-rising returning favorite comes on the Alternative Digital Song Sales roster. "What Was I Made For?" — her Oscar-winning ballad from the movie Barbie — reenters at No. 8. It has previously led the charge, and if it can manage just one more frame on this list, it will mark a full year on the chart. "Chihiro," a track from Eilish's most recent album Hit Me Hard and Soft, bounces back onto the Alternative Streaming Songs ranking this frame, but only just barely. The cut, which previously stalled in the runner-up spot, lands in last place – at No. 25 – this week. "Birds of a Feather," easily the biggest hit from Hit Me Hard and Soft, is still a huge win on both alternative tallies. It returns to the second-place spot on the Alternative Streaming Songs chart and climbs to No. 4 on the Alternative Digital Song Sales list. "Wildflower," the most recent single promoted from the full-length, grows once more. It ascends from No. 9 to No. 6 on the streaming-only alternative ranking this time around.

Livvy Dunne Trades In Her Leotard For Pretty Pink Ruffles at Kentucky Derby Event

Livvy Dunne is pretty in pink as she kicks off Kentucky Derby weekend! The 22-year-old gymnast and two-time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star hosted Club SI at Churchill Downs during the Kentucky Oaks on Friday, May 2. For the event, the athlete went ultra-femme with a light pink mini dress that not only featured airy ruffles on both shoulder straps, but the V-neck piece also showed extra skin with cutouts at her mid-section that opened to her lower back. And of course, no one would be a true derby guest without an intricate and matching asymmetric disc headband fascinator. She wore pink platform sandals with two straps that had delicate bow designs. Dunne accessorized with a lightly-colored straw handbag with wooden handles, and the front featured a sequin pattern with several shades of pink. In her Instagram Stories, the Louisiana State University (LSU) graduate reposted a photo of herself with several other ladies who also wore pink as she 'enjoyed the Louisiana suite.' The gymnast announced the end of her collegiate career on April 17. On April 21, Dunne shared an emotional recap highlighting her decades of hard work in an Instagram video. The clip began with her walking into a dimly lit, empty auditorium. As she sat down, a projector came on and played footage from important milestones in her life. 'Time flies when you're having fun,' she narrated over footage of her at competitions and practices. 'Something said when you're enjoying yourself to the point time seems to slip away from you.
