Police in White Rock, B.C. are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect in a break and enter incident that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Officers were called to a break-in at a business in the 1300 block of Johnston Road just before 6 a.m., White Rock RCMP said in a statement Tuesday.
Police have released surveillance video taken at the scene, which shows the suspect picking up an object off the ground and using it to smash the window of the business, before climbing inside.
The suspect, described by police as wearing a white hoodie, baseball cap, grey track pants and brown shoes, fled the area before officers arrived.
'While we recognize that the suspect's face isn't clear, we believe someone may know him or recognize his clothing,' said Const. Chantal Sears in the release.
'Anyone with information is asked to contact White Rock RCMP at 604-545-4800.'
White Rock RCMP are also investigating a second break and enter in the 15200 block of Russell Drive, reported just two hours later on the same day. Investigators are looking into both incidents and working to determine if they are related, police said.
