Wicklow camogie Chair empathises with Louth after 48-point drubbing
Wicklow Camogie Chairperson Ciarán Goff cut an understanding figure on Saturday afternoon. His county had walloped Louth by 48 points in a game that concluded the group stage of the All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship and doubled up as a Leinster final, but he was mindful of what Louth have been through in 2025. Hammerings such as this one have been the rule rather than the exception for the Wee County. But it's not as if Wicklow are considered one of Ireland's strongest camogie counties themselves, and Goff reminded The Wicklow People and The Bray People that you don't have to go back too far to find difficult days for his county. The important thing is to continue striving to move forward, and Wicklow have done that in reaching the last four of the All-Ireland Premier Junior Championship.
