Vikings Urged to Make Major Move to Complete 2025 Roster

On one hand, the Vikings could be right back in the thick of the race for the NFC. Last season, the team compiled a 14-3 record before losing in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. They could be revving up for a similar season from a success perspective. However, there is also a chance that Minnesota could take a big step back. Sam Darnold is no longer in town and the Vikings are taking a huge gamble on second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy being ready to step in and take over the offense. Read more: Vikings Teammate Speaks Out Boldly About JJ McCarthy Bringing in another proven pass rushing threat would be a wise decision. To that end, a big name has been suggested as a potential target. If the Vikings decided to get aggressive, this would be a move that would make a ton of sense. ESPN's Aaron Schatz has suggested veteran defensive end Matthew Judon as a possible target for the Vikings prior to the season getting underway. "The Vikings could really use a veteran to provide depth and rotate in every so often," Schatz wrote. "Judon had a disappointing 2024 season with just 5.5 sacks for the Falcons, and he seems to be on the decline (he turns 33 in August). Still, he can get after the passer, and some reps as a backup might really rejuvenate his career." As Schatz mentioned, Judon played the 2024 NFL season with the Atlanta Falcons and did not live up to expectations. Despite that fact, he still had 5.5 sacks and could be a valuable depth option or even a bounce-back candidate as a starter. He would likely be interested in an opportunity to play within a defense like the one Brian Flores runs in Minnesota. If he is able to turn back the clock a bit and bounce back from his tough 2024 season, the Vikings could get a huge late-offseason steal by signing him. His track record shows a player more than capable of making a major impact. On a short-term deal, this is a move that Minnesota should seriously consider. Michelle Obama reacts to divorce rumours: ‘We're 60, y'all!'

In an attempt to shut down persistent divorce rumours, former US First Lady Michelle Obama has revealed the real reason she and her husband, former President Barack Obama, are rarely seen together in public anymore. Speaking on NPR's Wild Card podcast with Rachel Martin on Thursday, the 61-year-old said that speculation around her marriage stems from people not seeing the couple photographed together. But she explained this is simply a reflection of their age and lifestyle, not trouble in their relationship. 'The fact that people don't see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumours of the end of our marriage. It's like, 'OK, so we don't Instagram every minute of our lives. We are 60. We're 60, y'all,'' Michelle said, according to The Independent. 'You just are not gonna know what we're doing every minute of the day,' she added. Rumours of a rift between the Obamas first gained traction earlier this year when Michelle did not attend former President Jimmy Carter's funeral or Donald Trump's second inauguration in January. At the time, she defended her decision, saying it was part of redefining her own priorities. 'One of the major decisions I made this year was to stay put and not attend funerals and inaugurations and all the things that I'm supposed to attend,' she said. 'That was a part of me using my ambition to say, 'Let me define what I want to do, apart from what I'm supposed to do, what the world expects of me.'' 'Whatever the backlash was, I had to sit in it and own it. But I didn't regret it, you know? It's my life now, and I can say that, now.' Michelle Obama has spoken earlier about stepping back from public life to focus on her own well-being. On the Work In Progress podcast with actress Sophia Bush, she spoke about how her priorities have shifted since leaving the White House. With her daughters now adults, she said, she finally feels free to make decisions for herself. 'I could have made a lot of these decisions years ago, but I didn't give myself that freedom,' she admitted. 'Maybe even as much as I let my kids live their own lives, I use their lives as an excuse for why I couldn't do something.'

Michelle Obama Addresses Divorce Rumours, Reveals Why She's Rarely Seen With Husband Barack

In an attempt to shut down divorce rumours, former US First Lady Michelle Obama has revealed why she and her husband, Barack Obama, don't make public appearances together anymore. On Thursday, the 61-year-old appeared on NPR's Wild Card podcast with Rachel Martin, where she said that she is not photographed alongside her husband, former US President Barack Obama, because of their age. During the podcast appearance, she joked that the couple doesn't document their relationship on social media because they are "too old" for Instagram. "The fact that people don't see me going out on a date with my husband sparks rumours of the end of our marriage. It's like, 'OK, so we don't Instagram every minute of our lives. We are 60. We're 60, y'all," Michelle Obama said, according to The Independent. "You just are not gonna know what we're doing every minute of the day," she added. The couple first sparked divorce rumours when the former first lady did not attend Jimmy Carter's funeral and President Donald Trump's inauguration back in January. Back then, she defended her decision to skip the events, saying, "One of the major decisions I made this year was to stay put and not attend funerals and inaugurations and all the things that I'm supposed to attend." "That was a part of me using my ambition to say, 'Let me define what I want to do, apart from what I'm supposed to do, what the world expects of me.' And I have to own that. Those are my choices," she said, per The Independent. "Whatever the backlash was, I had to sit in it and own it. But I didn't regret it, you know? It's my life now, and I can say that, now," she added. Previously, the 61-year-old has also addressed her reduced presence in public and at political events, saying she is focusing on her well-being and making conscious choices to take back control of her time. In conversation with actress Sophia Bush on the Work In Progress podcast, she also dismissed the ongoing divorce rumours with Barack Obama and opened up about shifts in her life since leaving the White House eight years ago. With her daughters now adults, she said that she has found the freedom to reassess her priorities and focus on her well-being. "I could have made a lot of these decisions years ago, but I didn't give myself that freedom. Maybe even as much as I let my kids live their own lives, I use their lives as an excuse for why I couldn't do something," she said.

CBS assigns hot seat to Dolphins' Mike McDaniel, predicts job status

Mike McDaniel is entering a pivotal fourth season in Miami Gardens that could very well determine his job status with the Dolphins. McDaniel has led Miami to a pair of NFL playoffs berths and to a 28-23 mark over the past three regular seasons. Along the way, the 42-year-old has produced some electrifying moments. The Dolphins' playoff berth in 2022 was the franchise's first since 2016. Miami also boasted the league's top total offense, the No. 1 passing offense, the No. 2 scoring offense and the NFL's passing leader in Tua Tagovailoa (4,624 passing yards) during the 2023 season. Star receiver Tyreek Hill notched back-to-back 1,700-yard receiving seasons in 2022 and 2023. But, the Dolphins lost each of those two Wild Card appearances at the Buffalo Bills (34-31) and at the Kansas City Chiefs (26-7) to close out the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. Then, thanks in part to Tagovailoa's injury absences, the Dolphins slumped to 8-9 and missed the playoffs altogether last season. That means the heat is on McDaniel in 2025. With the fan base's—and maybe the front office's—patience beginning to wear thin, McDaniel finds himself among CBS' 2025 NFL season head coach hot seat rankings. According to CBS, McDaniel has the second-hottest seat in the NFL. Overall, the roster feels like it has plateaued, and impact pieces could still be stripped away before Week 1 rolls around, with cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith both being in the thick of trade rumors. McDaniel has produced high-flying offenses, but the inconsistent availability of quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has hamstrung the franchise from reaching its full potential. As the arrow looks to be pointing down for the Dolphins, the rest of the division is getting more competitive. Buffalo remains the top dog, while New England and New York hired new head coaches this offseason and made solid moves to improve their rosters. That makes the road that much more difficult for the Dolphins in 2025, and it would not be surprising if they finish in last place. If that comes to fruition, it could result in Miami starting over across the board. - Tyler Sullivan, CBS. CBS predicted that McDaniel will ultimately be sent packing. So much of McDaniel's future seemingly lies in the health or lack thereof of Tagovailoa in 2025. If Tagovailoa can record his second full season of work, there's plenty of reasons for optimism. Tagovailoa still has Hill and Jaylen Waddle to work with alongside talented, rising dual-threat running back De'Von Achane. And, despite the fair critiques, McDaniel has shown he can concoct one of the league's most explosive offenses. Fortunes twist and turn in a hurry in the NFL, and maybe McDaniel can right the ship before it's too late. CBS' full top five head coach hot seat rankings looked like this: Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott at No. 5, Indianapolis' Shane Steichen at No. 4, Cincinnati's Zac Taylor at No. 3, McDaniel at No. 2 and the New York Giants' Brian Daboll at No. 1. Only McDermott was expected to retain his post.
