Irwin says Prince William 'truly cares' about nature

Conservationist Robert Irwin can see that Prince William "truly cares" about the environment. The 21-year-old son of late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin recently teamed up with the heir to the British throne after he was was named a Global Ambassador for the Prince of Wales' Earthshot Prize. Ahead of the two joining forces again at the London Climate Action Week, Irwin said the royal is clearly dedicated to "putting a spotlight" on the issue. He told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: "I love being around passionate people, it inspires me. The prince is just that - passionate, curious and thoughtful. I've been fortunate enough to share many great discussions about the things we love about the natural world. And it's clear that he has a profound love for wildlife and wild places. "He knows that he can put a spotlight on people making a real difference. He takes this responsibility very seriously, and he has a great ability to direct attention to where it needs to be. He is very compassionate and works hard to make sure that his conservation efforts benefit people as much as the environment. "I am always impressed by his knowledge and dedication and in the conversations I have had with him, I often learn something new. Most importantly though, he truly cares about a healthy planet for our future generations." He said: "I have the privilege of carrying on a conservation legacy that my dad and my family created, and that is something very important to me. It makes me feel incredibly excited and hopeful when I get to join forces with like-minded causes dedicated to making the world a better place. To be part of an initiative that shares the values of our own charity efforts through Wildlife Warriors is a great honour." Bindi Irwin admits she's ‘scared' by some of her brother's more intense fans

On Thursday, June 5, wildlife conservationist Bindi Irwin joined Kylie Kelce on her 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast. During their conversation, Bindi Irwin talked about being a mother-figure to her younger brother, Robert Irwin, who has over the years found massive fame as he continues to follow in their late father Steve Irwin's footsteps. Most recently, Robert Irwin nearly broke the internet with his Bonds campaign in which he posted photos and videos wearing only Bonds briefs and an exotic snake. During her conversation with Bindi Irwin, Kelce applauded Robert Irwin for the way in which he used the attention to push focus to their charity Wildlife Warriors. While Bindi Irwin admitted she could do without photos of her younger brother in his underwear going viral on social media, she shared how proud she is of him. 'Watching him grab people's attention in such a big way, and then pivot and say, 'Here's what we do. Here's our work. Here's our dedication to wildlife and conservation. And you can get involved,'' Bindi Irwin said, agreeing with Kelce's praise. 'It is wonderful and extraordinary to watch him just shine.' Bindi Irwin continued, saying, 'He's my little brother. We're about five and a half years apart, so I kind of feel like his second mum. I'm kind of a mother-hen. I'm like, always trying to protect him, make sure he's okay. And I have been that way his whole life.' 'Now just watching him shine and flourish and find his own path and voice. It is so inspiring,' the proud sister added, before admitting that sometimes her brother's more intense fans do worry her a little bit. 'Do I get a little bit scared of the women and girls and some guys that kind of are very intense? It's a lot. It can be a lot, but, but he's doing really well with all of it, and I'm very proud of him.' And when Robert Irwin's not doing what he needs to do to spread conservation awareness, Bindi Irwin says he's known as the 'funcle,' or 'fun uncle' to her 4-year-old daughter Grace, much like Travis Kelce is known as the 'funcle' to Kylie and Jason Kelce's four daughters. 'He is such a good uncle,' Bindi Irwin said of her brother. 'We actually call him a 'funcle' as well. It's so cool too, because as Grace has grown up, like she just gets more and more excited to go on Uncle Robert adventures. Because, you know, he, he kind of, like pushes the limits a little he does, he does fun things and exciting things. And so she loves it. And he's, he is so present with her, which I love so much.' It's because of Robert Irwin that Grace gets to know what it would be like if her grandfather Steve Irwin were still around. 'It's the same when we were growing up as kids, me and Robert, it's very similar with dad. He would do the same thing, where he would just pick us up and be like, 'Okay, we're going to go hike up this mountain. Or we're heading to the Simpson Desert to research fear snakes.' And off we would go. And it was just normal to us,' Bindi Irwin shared. 'And I love that dad was such an adventurer, and I see that in Robert. I see he is so similar to dad, and I'm really glad that Grace is going to have that energy in her life like she would have had from dad.' Not only that, but both Kelce and Bindi agreed that Robert and Travis have the energy to get on the floor and really play with their respective children. 'You've got them. I'm gonna have a warm cup of coffee five minutes and maybe have a shower, because that would be nice.'

Bindi Irwin fights to be healthy for her family following emergency surgery

Bindi Irwin is on the road to recovery and taking the time to heal after suffering a ruptured appendix earlier this month. Irwin, the daughter of late animal advocate Steve Irwin, was forced to miss an annual gala in honor of her father due to emergency surgery. While the surgery was initially intended to address her appendix, doctors discovered a myriad of issues Irwin, 26, needed medical attention for, including 14 additional lesions related to her endometriosis diagnosis. "Healing. Thank you for your incredible words of support and kindness," Bindi shared on social media. "The reason I share my health journey is because more girls and women desperately need answers to their undiagnosed pain. "I've battled with endometriosis for more than 12 years. This disease is crippling and can make you feel incredibly isolated. We need to raise awareness and change the narrative for women's health. I see you, your pain is real, and you deserve answers and genuine health care." Her husband, Chandler Powell, praised Bindi on social media, and wrote, "I've said it many times already, but as time goes on I'm even more convinced that you are the strongest person I know." He added, "Going through everything you have to get on top of your health as well as help others along the way is incredible. You are a warrior in every sense of the word. Grace and I are so grateful for you and everything you do." She responded, "My hope is to be healthy for our family. I love you so much." Irwin detailed some of her medical journey on social media shortly after she was hospitalized. "After having a grumbly appendix, I finally had to seek help the day of our Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas," she wrote earlier this month. "I consulted with Dr. Seckin, and we agreed that if I flew to New York, he could also check for endometriosis again. "Surgery was a success. My appendix was removed, along with another 14 lesions (after having 37 endometriosis lesions and a cyst removed two years ago). I also had a repair to a large hernia I acquired through childbirth four years ago. Thankfully, I am on the road to recovery." This is not the first health scare Bindi has encountered. In 2023, the mom of one revealed an endometriosis diagnosis that also required surgery. "My life now looks completely different than it did before I had my surgery," Irwin told Fox News Digital at the time. "Over the 10 years that I was really battling with endo[metriosis] without knowing it, I would get progressively worse every week and in the end, before my surgery, I was barely able to get out of bed." Irwin, who described the pain she experienced as a "stabbing feeling" and "really scary," revealed in March that she endured the painful condition for 10 years and struggled for a proper diagnosis.

Robert Irwin posts sweet tribute to sister Bindi Irwin after major surgery: 'Crippling'

Robert Irwin has shared a sweet tribute to his sister Bindi Irwin after she revealed earlier this month that she had been forced to have surgery to remove her appendix and 14 lesions as a result of her endometriosis. Doctors also needed to repair a hernia that she acquired during childbirth four years ago. Bindi pulled out of the Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas for the surgery, leaving Robert to host the event solo. It comes after the Wildlife Warrior had 37 endometriosis lesions and a cyst removed two years ago. Taking to Instagram, Robert shared a photo of himself and Bindi wearing their khaki Australia Zoo uniforms. He wrote, "Happy to see you on the up and up, Bindi. You face every hurdle head on, take it in your stride and inspire us." Bindi commented on the post, "One day at a time. Tremendously grateful for your support. You're the best." Many of the Irwin family's fans also commented on the post, with one user writing, "You know parents have done a good job when siblings show love for each other." "I just love your relationship," another added. "I'm also really close with my sister. It's an amazing thing, having a sibling as a BFF." "Bindi, as someone who is fighting endometriosis as well, thank you for being the light in the dark tunnel of madness," a third said. "They don't call her a warrior for nothing," another said. On the same day as the Steve Irwin Gala, Bindi revealed she underwent surgery. She shared a video and a lengthy statement on Instagram, which read: "I am so thankful that I got the help I needed with Dr. Seckin and Dr. Chu at Lenox Hill Hospital. After having a grumbly appendix, I finally had to seek help the day of our Steve Irwin Gala in Las Vegas. "I consulted with Dr. Seckin, and we agreed that if I flew to New York, he could also check for endometriosis again. Surgery was a success. Credit to Robert for hosting the evening, he did such an incredible job raising funds and awareness for Wildlife Warriors. "And thanks to my family for always being there for me. I have so much love for dear Chandler & sweet Grace. Thank you to Mum for being there with me every step of the way. And rest assured, I'll see you at the next Steve Irwin Gala in Brisbane this November. One day at a time. Time to heal now. Sending my love to you all." Her followers shared their support, with one person writing, "To raise awareness even in these tough moments is just so incredible. Heal well Bindi! We're all cheering you on." "14 lesions after only 2 years?!" another said. "And they wonder why women with endo are in such pain! Robert Irwin's in hot water! Single TV host gets in trouble with his momager Terri after enjoying night in Las Vegas with mystery blonde

He might be the golden boy of Australia, but Robert Irwin is ruffling feathers behind the scenes. The Wildlife Warrior, 21, recently travelled to Las Vegas with his mum Terri and sister Bindi to host the annual Steve Irwin Gala. But Robert has allegedly gotten himself in hot water with his mother after enjoying a wild night out during the trip. A source close to the family told Daily Mail Australia that Terri is 'deeply disappointed' in her son's late-night antics after photos surfaced of him partying with a mystery blonde bombshell. 'Terri doesn't care who the girl is. She just thinks the whole thing looks really bad, especially with Robert about to appear on the US version of Dancing with the Stars,' the insider said. Robert's trip to Las Vegas was only meant to include the Steve Irwin Gala on May 10 but things took a turn when his sister Bindi suffered a ruptured appendix and was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery. Both Terri and Bindi were forced to pull out of the gala at the last minute and Robert was left to his own devices and made the most of his freedom. 'While the cat's away, the mice will play. Robert doesn't usually get much downtime, so he let his hair down,' the source added. 'But Terri was expecting him to keep things low-key, not hit the strip with a blonde on his arm.' The pair appeared completely engrossed in each other, walking closely and ignoring other members of their group. The mystery woman turned heads in a white crop top that showed off her toned figure, teamed with high-waist mum jeans and white sneakers. Her long blonde locks were styled in effortless waves, and she carried a brown Louis Vuitton shoulder bag. At one point, Robert placed a protective hand on her lower back as they made their way through the venue's entrance. Later, the pair were spotted laughing together in a dark ramen bar, tucked away in a cosy booth with friends. Robert was all smiles as he leaned in close, clearly enjoying the mystery woman's company. While fans are loving Robert's transformation from 'zoo kid' to heartthrob, Terri is said to be horrified by the 'eligible bachelor' branding. 'She regretted that Bonds campaign with him in his jocks and a snake around his neck. She thought it sent the wrong message and this Vegas stunt is just more of the same,' an insider said. Terri is reportedly trying to shut down speculation Robert's behaviour could derail his upcoming stint on Dancing With The Stars. 'They're in full damage control. The line from the Irwins is "there's nothing to see here". But behind closed doors, Terri is fuming,' they continued. 'Robert might not get this kind of freedom again for a long time. Not until Dancing with the Stars is over and he's back home in Australia.' Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Irwins' representatives for comment. Robert's career has been going from strength to strength since he was signed up as the host of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Australia last year. He has also been single following his split from his girlfriend Rorie Buckley in February last year and confessed that dating hasn't been easy in a TV appearance back in December. 'That's an interesting world to navigate as well with [being in] the public eye and that sort of thing,' he said on the Today show. Admitting that he was not seeing anyone at the time, Robert was asked about what he was 'looking for' in a partner. 'I'm one of those people who is kind of gonna let it happen, I'm gonna let that unfold as it will,' he shared. 'I look at my parents as inspiration and I look at my sister [Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler].' 'I know there's someone out there, but they are going to have to be a goer, they are going to be in this lifestyle, it's here, it's there, it's everywhere but I would definitely one day love to, of course, share this wonderful life with someone special,' he added.
