Fortus is partnering with law firm Wilkin Chapman Rollits to deliver the free event offering financial clarity and support.
With guest speakers from sector experts at Fortus, Rollits and The Fortus Foundation, organisers say it promises to give not-for-profit organisations the guidance they need in the current climate, while offering the opportunity to network.
Matty Lewis is head of foundation at the York-based Fortus Foundation which helps support community groups, schools and small charities across the region with grants of between £500 and £10,000.
He is one of the speakers at the event and said: 'For charitable organisations seeking guidance, it's hard to know where to start. So for Fortus to put on the event is their way of helping those organisations on their journey.
'In the charity world you want volunteers and staff to be focusing on the things that truly make a difference and spending funds on what matters the most, not on research and education around finance and legislation. So the wider impact of the masterclass is bigger than you think.'
The event is free, and made possible by Brendan Paddison and the team at York St John University.
