The Winston-Salem Police Department tells FOX8 the shooting happened around 9:20 p.m. Police say at least two people were shot at the Creekwood Apartments on Old Greensboro Road. 2 juveniles injured in shooting in Winston-Salem, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating a shooting in which two juveniles were injured. On Saturday at 6:43 p.m., officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Reynolds Park Road and Reynolds Forest Drive. An initial investigation revealed that a 'disturbance' involving several juveniles escalated, resulting in multiple gunshots being fired. 1 charged after assaulting man in hotel elevator, Winston-Salem police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A man who is accused of assaulting another inside a hotel elevator has been arrested and charged, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. Around midnight Saturday, the WSPD responded to a vandalism call at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on West Fourth Street where hotel personnel stated that the suspect, Bertrand Christopher Gray, 41, was inside an elevator with a 65-year-old man. Officers responded to the elevator where the 65-year-old man was found suffering from injuries consistent with assault. He was taken to a local hospital. Gray was arrested and charged with assault inflicting serious injury and one other charge. He appeared before a magistrate where he was given a $10,000 secured bond. Winston-Salem officer taken to hospital after multi-vehicle crash at intersection of Peters Creek Parkway at Silas Creek Parkway, police say

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A Winston-Salem officer was taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Friday, according to a Winston-Salem Police Department news release. Around 7:20 p.m., a Winston-Salem officer was on the way to an emergency call for service with his blue/red lights and siren activated when his patrol car was hit as he drove through the intersection of Peters Creek Parkway at Silas Creek Parkway. The officer was driving a marked Dodge Charger police vehicle and going north on Peters Creek Parkway. He slowed down to clear the intersection before going through it with his lights and siren activated. While he was going through the intersection, the officer's vehicle was hit by a 2025 Rivian R1S that was going west on Silas Creek Parkway. The Rivian kept going west before crashing into a 1997 Honda Civic and a 2016 Acura RLX that were stopped in the northbound lanes of Peters Creek Parkway at a red light. The officer and another person were treated at hospitals for minor injuries. The driver of the Rivian, Patrick Yingling, 50, was issued a citation for failing to heed emergency vehicles and for expired registration. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
