Seth Rollins' injury bug breaks the mold of OTC1's much-anticipated return plan
Seth Rollins' injury altered Roman Reigns' return plan: Image via Getty Dodging all the bullets of betrayal over the years, Roman Reigns is back in his power. Just when it looked like everything was settled for good between Gunther and CM Punk, with the latter being on the back foot, the Original Tribal Chief showed up and turned the tables upside down. On the July 14 episode of WWE Raw, the big dog of the yard got a piece of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who dared to get under the skin of Punk and Jey Uso following the match. Reigns saved Punk and his cousin, but that was never his main goal to be back. It's always Seth freakin Rollins and his former Wiseman who launched the most ruthless Judas kiss on him from the stage of WrestleMania 41. Then why did the other members of the 'visionaries' taste the king's wrath first? Well, it's Seth's injury that made the creative revise the plan. Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins at SummerSlam was a reportedly long-settled plan At the 40th edition of WWE's Saturday Night Main Event, the injury horror was back. And this time it was none but the Visionary himself. While butting heads in a gruesome fight against LA Knight, the Architect pulled off a Lionsault off the second rope and couldn't retain the balance. He fell on his feet and was visibly shirking his legs in pain, but somehow managed to crawl to the corner of the ring and talked to the medical team. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Dubai villas | search ads Get Deals Undo That was it for the 39-year-old. Initially, the injury looked a little more serious than it was. Media houses started to speculate that Rollins could be out for a long time, possibly leaving his big SummerSlam appearance in severe jeopardy. Triple H and the team didn't want to take the risk, and right after, on Monday Night Raw, they brought out the Tribal Chief. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE originally wanted to pitch a grand return match of Reigns against Rollins at the August PLE. That was quite significant in the latest promos and hints that were circulating over the months. Everyone seemed to be sold that Reigns would be back at SummerSlam, and against whom was not even a question. But the injury got in the way and put the blood-sucking rivalry to a halt. Now the question is, how long? Nobody really knows. Triple H has already updated the media and the fans that Rollins' injury is still inclusive, and a lot will depend on his MRI report that's yet to come to dish more clarity on his status for the biggest MetLife Stadium event next month. Then what is the wisest alternative for the OTC1? Is WWE scheming a better alternative SummerSlam plan for Reigns? Replacing Seth directly with Bron Breakker looks like the most convenient one. The Superiority of the 'Spears' sounds like a good excuse to lock horns. Also, Bron is in a decent place to secure a one-to-one match with the OG like Reigns. He deserves it, and they will look triggered in the graphics, no doubt about that. But WWE can go for a little tweak as well, tagging Jey Uso and Bronson Reed into the equation and making it a full-fledged tag team match. The only thing that the OTC fans can take a chill pill about is that it's nearly inconceivable that Seth's sidelining will deter Reigns from having his grand match at SummerSlam, anyway. Hold your horses, folks, your OTC1 is on the charge, sleek and solid! Frederick Wiseman's complete works to tour Korea in landmark retrospective
Five-year restoration project brings 45 films to venues across Korea through 2026 The 17th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival (DMZ Docs) announced Thursday a complete touring showcase of Frederick Wiseman's 45-film catalog, set to launch this September and continuing through July 2026. The 95-year-old Boston native, often called America's greatest living documentarian, has spent nearly six decades creating what he terms "reality fictions" -- observational studies of American life through the lens of its institutions: schools, hospitals, welfare offices, courts and military bases -- systems of power and control that shape the individual experience. His films range from his controversial debut "Titicut Follies" (1967), an expose of conditions at a state hospital for the criminally insane, to recent works like "City Hall" (2020), which tracks Boston's municipal operations from mayoral meetings to homeless outreach programs. Other highlights include "Welfare" (1978), a sprawling portrait of New York's social services system; "La Danse" (2009), which captures the Paris Opera Ballet in rehearsal and performance; "Ex Libris: The New York Public Library" (2017), exploring the public library's role as both a repository and a community hub; and "A Couple" (2022), an intimate study of Leo Tolstoy and his wife through their correspondence. The retrospective follows an ambitious restoration effort that has made Wiseman's works newly accessible to viewers worldwide. Thirty-three films shot between 1967 and 2006 have been restored in 4K from their original 16mm negatives, a five-year project involving the Library of Congress, Harvard Film Archive, and restoration labs DuArt and Goldcrest Post. Wiseman personally reviewed and approved each restoration. DMZ Docs will screen 20 titles during its Sept. 11–17 run in Goyang and Paju, Gyeonggi Province. The full 45-film program will then move to Seoul Art Cinema and Busan Cinema Center, with selected works touring cinematheques and arthouses across the country — including stops in cities such as Gwangju, Gangneung and Jeonju — through next summer. 'This retrospective offers a comprehensive look at Wiseman's lifelong investigation of how we live together -- how institutions mediate human behavior, and how people shape and are shaped by the systems they inhabit,' said DMZ Docs senior programmer Jang Byung-won. The festival will also host symposiums and screenings featuring scholars, critics and filmmakers from Korea and abroad, alongside the publication of a comprehensive catalog documenting Wiseman's complete body of work.
