Securitize, RedStone Pilot ‘Trusted Single Source Oracle' to Secure Tokenized Fund NAVs
Securitize, one of the largest tokenized asset issuers, and oracle provider RedStone have released a whitepaper they say introduces a new model for securely verifying Net Asset Value (NAV) data on-chain, tailored specifically for tokenized private funds. The model, dubbed the Trusted Single Source Oracle (TSSO), is designed to address a key gap in decentralized finance (DeFi) infrastructure: how to reliably prove that each NAV update really comes from the trusted source — and hasn't been tampered with once it's on-chain. In traditional crypto markets, oracles pull data from multiple price feeds to guard against manipulation or errors. But for private funds, the NAV is calculated by a single fund administrator. That creates a unique problem: there's no way to double-check the number through market aggregation. For DeFi protocols that rely on accurate collateral values, this single point of trust has been a sticking point. The TSSO framework solves this by creating a cryptographically linked chain of NAV updates, according to the whitepaper. Each update includes a secure digital signature, a timestamp, a reference to the previous record, and a hash that locks the sequence together. The system uses two keys: a cold-stored 'root key' for major updates and a 'chain key' for small, routine changes that stay within tight thresholds. This design aims to balance high security with the practical need to refresh NAV data without constant manual work. 'We need to make sure that we can fully authenticate the information, that we can check that no one is compromising with the data, and we can only rely on a single source. That's why the whole process needs to be taken to the next level – so that's the challenge,' said Jakub Wojciechowski, the founder of RedStone, in an interview with CoinDesk. According to Wojciechowski, Securitize is taking the lead on the development of the product, 'building sort of like an internal blockchain, which is a chain with the price updates,' he said. 'We know that they will not miss any single price update, because the next price update is cryptographically connected to the previous one.' After that, 'once everything is properly signed, we gather the ability to verify that the data truly comes from the source.' Tokenized funds are widely seen as one of the next big growth areas for blockchain. But their success depends on bridging the trust gap between traditional finance and crypto infrastructure. While still early, the effort highlights the growing push to build institutional-grade infrastructure for DeFi. If widely adopted, models like TSSO could make it easier for tokenized funds to integrate with on-chain tools. Securitize said that it is already piloting TSSO with some of its clients, and that it hopes to make significant progress and have it more widely available soon. 'This is open to the industry, but for Securitize, it's very natural for the assets that we're dealing with,' said Jorge Serna, the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Securitize. 'We have been issuing treasury funds and credit funds for which either we're the transfer agent or the fund admin or perform both functions, and we are already, for those in particular, publishing the price feeds via Redstone. And so this is something that definitely we want to secure between Securitize and Redstone.'Error in retrieving data Sign in to access your portfolio Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data Error in retrieving data

NBA Trade Rumors: NBA Draft trade rumors, Lauri Markkanen, Walker Kessler, and more!
There are a lot of rumors out there so we've got a lot to get to. I'll try to get everything here. First, the Utah Jazz announced a new coaching hire last week, Coach Wojciechowski, and I needed to get that included here. A huge congrats to Coach Wojo! NBA Draft Trade Rumors Late draft trades coming? In the latest Stein Line, Jake Fischer had some interesting trade details There's been lots of chatter leaguewide, actually, about the majority of picks from Nos. 20-30 being available for trade in this draft. Which is pretty typically the case. Four selections were traded between No. 22 and No. 28 a year ago. At this juncture of the process, it all appears very fluid at the end of the first round for this draft class, with numerous prospects ranging from Nos. 20-60 having returned to college to seize upon NIL riches. Advertisement It's maybe not the most surprising thing, like Fischer says, but the Utah Jazz are set up well to potentially move into that section of the draft. Could one of Jordan Clarkson, Collin Sexton, or John Collins get them there? It seems very possible, depending on the contracts that are moved. Teams that are potentially trading up From Fischer Like the Thunder, Orlando and Brooklyn have also been mentioned by rival executives as teams to monitor for potential trades up into the late lottery. Brooklyn holds first-round picks at Nos. 19, 26 and 27 ... all after its No. 8 selection. Orlando holds the Nos. 16 and 25 picks on June 25 and faces a roster crunch similar to that in OKC with 15 players on standard contracts for next season ... albeit with veterans like Moe Wagner and Gary Harris on team options. The Brooklyn Nets and Orlando Magic have the potential picks to move up, but how far will they go? The Utah Jazz have the assets to potentially move up as well. The question is, will they do it? Or do they want to? Being at #5 is a great spot, and, if it's any solace to Jazz fans depressed by the lottery results, Brooklyn and Orlando would love to trade to where the Jazz are now. If the Jazz want to move up, they're in the realistic range to get to maybe 2,3, or 4. That is, if they're willing to give up the requisite assets. I do think #3 and #4 are the most possible, if the Jazz do want to move up. New Utah Jazz rumors! Sarah Todd dropped some great stuff in her recent Jazz Insiders newsletter. Let's dive in. Advertisement What Austin Ainge probably meant with his press conference Local media went crazy with the 'We won't be doing that' quote. Todd writes about how opposing GMs took those comments: The rest of the NBA world took that to mean that the Jazz would be fielding a roster during the 2025-26 season that would not need to manipulate things in order to lose enough games for a high draft pick. In order to do that, the Jazz would need to make a few trades. And there you have it, it wasn't meant to imply that Utah's offseason will turn into a win-now offseason. It was more likely that they would play to win but still lose anyway. Austin Ainge has repeatedly emphasized the importance of next year's pick, after all. But Todd is right, Utah does need to make some moves to make this happen. It sounds like those opposing GMs are speculating on available Jazz players via trade. So, there have been some quiet rumblings around the league the last few days about the availability of Jazz players via trade. Apparently, it's going to be an active offseason for the Jazz. Advertisement Everyone is on the table Todd writes what players opposing GMs expect will be available from the Jazz. Numerous league sources have indicated that they believe the Jazz are going to be active over the next several weeks. Many expect that the Jazz are willing to hear offers that would include draft picks in the 2025 draft as well as players on the Jazz's current roster. Obvious candidates for trade would be John Collins, Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson, who are all on expiring deals as of the 2025-26 season, but league sources have said that they expect for conversations to include Walker Kessler (who is extension eligible) and Lauri Markkanen. The note about Collins, Sexton, and Clarkson is not surprising. But the news that Markkanen and Kessler will be included in trade conversations is an interesting one. It could be that opposing GMs are just trying to drum up a trade, or maybe they've had talks with the Jazz that give them an educated guess of what's coming. Either way, we're going to see something happen this summer. More from

Gene Wojciechowski praised by ESPN stars after announcing 'last official day'
Gene Wojciechowski praised by ESPN stars after announcing 'last official day' Show Caption Hide Caption Jeremiah Smith, Ryan Williams on cover of EA Sports College Football '26 EA Sports chose Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith and Alabama's Ryan Williams to be on the cover of College Football '26. We talk to the athletes about what this moment means to them. Veteran sports writer and "College Gameday" contributor Gene Wojciechowski's three-decade run at ESPN is officially over, he announced. Wojciechowski wrote on social media on Saturday, May 31 that it was his "last official day on the books" after more than 27 years at ESPN and thanked several ESPN stars, including "College Gameday" host Rece Davis, former "College Gameday" host Chris Fowler, former ESPN and current FOX Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi and former ESPN president John Skipper. Wojciechowski was technically let go by ESPN during the network's layoffs in 2023. It could mean this past weekend represented the end of his contract or severance compensation with ESPN. OPINION: College Football Playoff debate gives SEC's Greg Sankey chance to be hero That, however, did not stop an array of ESPN personalities from offering tributes and thanks for Wojciechowski's contributions at the network, despite his time on air there ending almost two years ago. "Tremendous reporter. Brilliant writer and storyteller. Better man. Unsurpassed as a loyal friend. Legend in the business," ESPN "College Gameday" host Rece Davis wrote on X. "Appreciate your commitment to the show and the respect you always showed to the people involved in the show," Kirk Herbstreit added in his own social media reply to Wojciechowski's tweet. "As loyal and good of a teammate I've ever had!" "You could do it all and make it look effortless," wrote ESPN's Dan Wetzel, the former Yahoo! national sports columnist. Wojciechowski is the author or co-author of nine books and joined ESPN back in 1998 after working for the Chicago Tribune, the Dallas Morning News, and the Los Angeles Times. He wrote for the now-defunct ESPN the Magazine and later began writing columns for His human-interest features and commentary also became a regular part of "College Gameday." The University of Tennessee graduate currently serves as a professor for the School of Journalism & Media at his alma mater. ESPN announced previously in April that Lee Corso would be retiring from "College Gameday" after his final headgear pick during Week 1 of the 2025 college football season.

People Can Fly cancels two projects and will lay off workers
People Can Fly has announced it has cancelled two in-development projects and will undergo a round of layoffs. 'Today we made the very difficult decision to suspend the development of project Gemini and project Bifrost,' wrote People Can Fly CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski on the studio's LinkedIn page. 'As a result we have to significantly regroup as a studio and scale down our teams.' Little was known publicly about either project. The Warsaw-based studio known for Bulletstorm and Outriders has been having difficulties with some of its in-development projects for a while now. In December, a notice from the company stated it would suspend production on a project codenamed Victoria and reduce the team working on Bifrost. In today's announcement, Wojciechowski wrote that cancellations were due to an unspecified publisher's failure to present necessary publishing agreements, and a 'lack of communication' regarding whether or not the publisher wants to continue with development. The statement also attributed the cancellations to issues with the publisher's cash flow stating it, 'showed a lack of prospects for securing organizational resources and funds necessary to continue the production.' And the name of the publisher? It isn't exactly a mystery. In the developer's statement from December, People Can Fly named its collaborator on Project Gemini as Square Can Fly — which was acquired by Epic Games in 2012 before going independent again in 2015 — will continue development on Xbox's next Gears of War title, Gears of War: E-Day, as a partner studio working with The Coalition.

ESPN tributes pour in for Gene Wojciechowski on final 'official' day
ESPN tributes pour in for Gene Wojciechowski on final 'official' day It's official: Gene Wojciechowski is no longer an official part of ESPN. Wojciechowski made the announcement this weekend on X (formerly Twitter): "After 27 1/2 yrs, my official last day on the ESPN books. Owe 1,000 thanks, but forever grateful to J Skipper, J Papanek, Steve Wulf, P Stiegman, Lee Fitting, Mike McQuade, D Kraft, Joe W, @KirkHerbstreit , @ReceDavis , Tom Rinaldi, @Jimmyggg44 , @cbfowler +every editor/prod/crew." What's noteworthy here is that he was part of the layoffs at the Worldwide Leader back in 2023, which might mean his contract included months of severance pay. So he was marking the officially official day that he was no longer part of ESPN. He was known for being a terrific columnist at ESPN, and he wrote for ESPN the Magazine as well (full disclosure: I was also at ESPN the Mag long ago!) and he had been a part of College GameDay as well. As you'd expect, the tributes poured in for the writer who had spent over 27 years at ESPN, many of them from colleagues at the network who heaped nothing but praise on Wojciechowski (and deservedly so). ESPN colleagues took to X (formerly Twitter) to pay tribute to Gene Wojciechowski
