9 wickets in 25 balls! England women suffer massive collapse, still beat India
England women's cricket team secured a crucial five-run victory over India in the third T20I at The Oval on Friday, keeping the five-match series alive at 2-1 in India's favour. The match featured a record-breaking collapse by England and saw Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma reach the milestone of 300 international wickets, becoming only the sixth women's cricketer to achieve this feat. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now England posted a total of 171 runs after a strong opening partnership of 137 runs between Sophia Dunkley and her partner in 15.1 overs. Dunkley's impressive innings of 75 runs off 53 balls, including seven fours and a six, earned her the player-of-the-match award. The match witnessed a remarkable turn of events when Deepti Sharma dismissed Dunkley, triggering an unprecedented collapse in international cricket history. England lost nine wickets in just 25 deliveries, adding only 31 runs during this phase, setting a new record for the fewest balls taken to lose nine wickets in international cricket across both men's and women's formats. Deepti Sharma's bowling figures of 3/27 in four overs helped her join an elite group of women cricketers with 300 or more international wickets. The list includes Jhulan Goswami leading with 355 wickets, followed by Katherine Sciver-Brunt (335), Ellyse Perry (331), Shabnim Ismail (317), and Anisa Mohammed (305). In response to England's total of 171, the Indian team managed to score 166 runs in their allotted 20 overs, falling short by five runs. This defeat marked India's first loss on their ongoing England tour. The match highlighted a unique record from earlier this year during a Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier match in Bangkok. The after reaching 192/0 in 16 overs against Qatar, becoming the first instance in T20I history where a team retired more than two batters in an innings. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now This unusual decision by UAE resulted in eight ducks in their innings. Qatar's subsequent collapse for 29 runs brought the total number of ducks in the match to 15, setting a new record for the most ducks in a women's T20I match. The series now moves to Old Trafford in Manchester for the fourth match scheduled for July 9.

Chaos at Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier! UAE retire entire batting line-up; then bowl out Qatar for 29
In a move never before seen in either men's or women's cricket, all 10 batters of a team were retired out—but they still went on to win the game by a huge margin. This bizarre moment unfolded during the Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier in Bangkok. The UAE women's cricket team retired all 10 of their batters after reaching 192 for 0 in just 16 overs against Qatar. This made cricket history as the first instance in T20s—men's or women's—of a team dismissing itself entirely by retiring out. Incredibly, the match also featured 15 ducks—eight from UAE and seven from Qatar—the most ever in a women's T20I. So, what exactly led UAE to make this decision, and what happened next? United Arab Emirates Women vs Qatar Women: Game highlight UAE won the toss and chose to bat, with openers Esha Oza and Theertha Satish in top form. Oza smashed her third T20I century off 51 balls, finishing on 113, while Satish blasted 74 from 31 balls. The pair added 192 runs before both walked off retired out. What followed was each batter coming to the crease, padded up, and immediately retiring out to close the innings. Although a formal declaration isn't allowed in T20Is, UAE effectively did just that. The innings was officially recorded as 192 all out—the highest all-out total in women's T20I history. Qatar took to the chase amid all the drama, but what followed was a complete destruction of their batting lineup. Only three batters managed to score runs, with Rizpha Bano Emmanuel top-scoring with 20. After her, the next highest scorers were Angeline Mare (5 off 6) and Shahreen Bahadur (2 off 13). Qatar got all out for just 29 in 11.1 overs, with UAE's Michelle Botha claiming 3 wickets and Katie Thompson picking up two. Heena Hotchandani, Esha Rohit Oza, Indhuja Nandakumar, and Vaishnave Mahesh each took one wicket, completing a dominant bowling performance. The entire match lasted only 27.1 overs, resulting in a colossal 163-run victory for UAE. Teams Qatar Women (Playing XI): Aysha(c), Shahreen Bahadur, Christeena Jacob, Rizpha Emmanuel(w), Roheed Akhtar, Amna Abdulaziz, Sabeeja Panayan, Sudha Thapa, Khadija Imtiaz, Angeline Mare, Hiral Agarwal United Arab Emirates Women (Playing XI): Esha Rohit Oza(c), Theertha Satish(w), Heena Hotchandani, Michelle Botha, Udeni Dona, Athige Silva, Vaishnave Mahesh, Indhuja Nandakumar, Katie Thompson, Lavanya Keny, Keziah Miriam Sabin

Surprise tactic pays off for UAE in Women's T20WC Qualifier
Bangkok, May 10 (UNI) In a bizarre turn of events, after accumulating 192 runs from their first 16 overs, the UAE decided to retire out their entire batting line-up under overcast conditions to save themselves time in the Women's T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier encounter against Qatar. The move paid off later in the game, when Esha Oza's side bowled Qatar out for merely 29, thus securing a mammoth win and a heavy net run rate advantage. The UAE batted first and racked up quick runs on the back of inspiring performances from Oza (113 from 55 balls with 19 boundaries including five sixes) and Theertha Satish (74 off 42 with 11 fours). However, with rain looming, UAE management - led by experieced all-rounder and coach Ahmed Raza - decided at the 16-over mark that they had more than enough runs to play with. If this were a first-class fixture, the side might as well have declared, but given that it was a T20I encounter, UAE had no such option. The Asian side then came up with a rare tactical decision, calling all their batters to 'pad up' and deciding to retire them out. This meant the UAE were eligible to immediately have a go at the Qatar with the ball, and bowled out the side within the 12th over mark to secure a remarkable win by 163 runs. The victory was UAE's second on the trot at the Asia Qualifier event and puts them in the box seat to progress to the Super Three stage of the event. The three winners from the group stage of the tournament progress to the Super Three phase, with the top two teams then progressing to the Global Qualifier at the start of next year. Brief score: United Arab Emirates: 192 Qatar: 29 UNI BM
