Wyndham partners with Grubhub for delivery services

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has entered a partnership with online and mobile food-ordering and delivery platform Grubhub, providing guests and staff across its nearly 6,000 US hotels with convenient access to on-demand delivery services. The collaboration spans Wyndham's entire US portfolio, including 20 brands and offers a range of benefits, which encompass $0 delivery fees. Grubhub campus and hospitality vice-president and general manager Rob DelaCruz said: 'Wyndham has one of the largest footprints of any major hotel company in the US. 'Together, we're elevating the on-property experience, delivering seamless convenience for not only the hundreds of thousands of guests that walk through their doors every year, but also the tens of thousands of hotel team members who make those hotel stays possible.' The service is accessible through the Grubhub app while present at the property or by scanning QR codes at participating hotels. Users are guided through a Wyndham-branded digital experience to activate a complimentary six-month Grubhub+ membership. This membership includes perks such as free delivery on eligible orders, a 5% credit back on pickup orders, and reduced service charges. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' strategic and financial partnerships senior vice-president Charmaine Taylor said: 'Travel should be enjoyable, not stressful—and that's exactly what Grubhub helps deliver. 'Whether it's a late-night craving, forgotten essentials, or a last-minute need like a phone charger, anyone at one of our hotels can now get what they need, when they need it. With the added perks of Grubhub+, convenience and comfort are just a few taps away.' This move follows a similar expansion of a partnership between hospitality company Hilton and Grubhub last December. Forget overpriced minibars and club sandwiches. Wyndham is one of a few hotel groups looking to monetize today's on-demand culture. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is turning to Grubhub to handle the delivery of food and essentials at nearly 6,000 of its U.S. hotels. The deal represents a broader shift across the industry toward outsourcing services that were once handled in-house. The partnership, announced on Thursday, allows guests and hotel staff to order food, groceries, and other everyday items through the Grubhub app or a Wyndham-branded QR code on-site. The program includes six months of free Grubhub Plus membership, which offers $0 delivery fees, reduced service charges, and 5% back on pickup orders. Wyndham to boost presence in South Asia with new alliance

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has announced a strategic alliance with Indian hospitality group Cygnett Hotels & Resorts to expand its footprint in South Asia. The collaboration will introduce Wyndham's La Quinta and Registry Collection Hotels brands to India and add more than 60 hotels across India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal over the next decade. This move is aimed at capitalising India's growing travel sector, driven by infrastructure investments, a growing middle class, and increased tourism. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA president Dimitris Manikis said: 'This partnership is the next chapter in Wyndham's Eurasia growth story, with India as a key strategic market that we've grown alongside for decades. Cygnett shares our commitment to sustainable, long-term growth while meeting the rising demand from travellers seeking experiences that blend comfort, authenticity, and excellence. 'We're introducing elevated stays across the full spectrum from stylish, quality hotels to distinctive luxury escapes, bringing Wyndham's world-class brands to even more sought-after destinations across the region.' As part of the partnership, Wyndham and Cygnett have entered an exclusive ten-year development agreement to launch and develop the La Quinta by Wyndham brand in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh. This move encompasses new builds and conversions, with the first openings anticipated by the end of next year. The brand, which caters to both business and leisure guests in the upper midscale segment, has a portfolio of 900 locations worldwide. Simultaneously, the two companies will launch Registry Collection Hotels in India via a non-exclusive ten-year agreement, which will see the development of ten hotels in the country. These will be co-branded with Cygnett's newly introduced luxury five-star brand Anamore, with the inaugural hotel anticipated to welcome guests as early as 2026. With more than 30 locations around the globe, Registry Collection Hotels is known for its boutique and luxury hotels. Cygnett Hotels & Resorts founder and managing director Sarbendra Sarkar said: 'We are proud to help grow La Quinta and Registry Collection Hotels, two global brands that perfectly complement our portfolio and align with the rising demand in the region for high-quality hotel and guest experiences. 'Our extensive regional network and commitment to brand integrity uniquely position us to drive the successful rollout of these brands across South Asia.' Wyndham's current portfolio in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh already features more than 70 hotels, with brands such as Ramada by Wyndham and Wyndham Garden. The recent opening of Wyndham Garden Sonipat Murthal in Haryana, India, in partnership with Rajdhani Realcon, underscores the company's ongoing growth strategy in the region. South Africa: Hospitality Industry Think Tank set to boost sustainable tourism

On 8 August 2025, South Africa's hospitality leaders will gather at The Maslow Hotel, Sandton, for the third annual Hospitality Industry Think Tank. The event focuses on tackling industry challenges through collaboration and innovation to grow tourism sustainably. All proceeds will support Touching Dreams, a non-profit dedicated to empowering communities and protecting natural environments affected by tourism. Launched by Dream Hotels & Resorts in 2023, the Think Tank has rapidly evolved into a flagship event on the hospitality calendar, with backing from some of the country's most prominent brands. It encourages participation from all industry members, with the goal of advancing South Africa's tourism industry for the benefit of all. This year's Hospitality Industry Think Tank is presented in partnership with Wyndham Hotels, Infrateq Africa, Profit Room, Assa Abloy, Sabre, Legacy Hotel Group, Beekman Group, Dream Hotels and Resorts, Valor Africa, Sondela, Club Mykonos, Peermont, DGB, Painted Wolf Wines, and Sun International, and in association with Satsa, TBCSA, Fedhasa and VOASA. The Think Tank will also be inviting and welcoming the Minister of Tourism. Collaboration to grow South Africa's tourism 'Tourists want remarkable experiences wherever they go. The annual Hospitality Industry Think Tank is all about coming together to make South Africa a world-class tourism destination that benefits every player - from the smallest souvenir shop to the biggest 5-star hotel,' says Chris Godenir, Touching Dreams ambassador and General Manager of the Peninsula All Suite Hotel. 'Platforms like the Think Tank give industry players the opportunity to collaborate and create solutions that serve everyone's interests.' Driving sustainable tourism with purpose Beyond offering a platform to share common challenges and problem-solve together, it's about making a lasting, positive impact. With all proceeds supporting Touching Dreams, there's a strong focus on creating a sustainable tourism industry that gives back to communities and protects natural environments that are impacted through its operations. 'Tourism is in a unique position to uplift some of South Africa's most remote areas. We have a diverse and beautiful country that offers so much more than just the primary attractions of Cape Town and Kruger,' says Natasha-Lee Shunmugam, Touching Dreams ambassador. When hotels, lodges and resorts are built in untouched areas, they inevitably impact the local communities and ecosystems. This presents a real opportunity to not only support these environments, but to help them truly thrive. "That's where Touching Dreams comes in," continues Shunmugam. "The organisation provides a collective vehicle for the industry to drive meaningful change: empowering local youth and protecting the natural environment." What to expect at this year's Think Tank The 2025 agenda will tackle key topics including: • Navigating risk and resilience: Operating hotels in a volatile political and environmental landscape • Outlook for Tourism in South Africa: Making it more than a 'two-pot' destination - Cape Town and Kruger • Funding models for hotel opportunities • Tech and innovation: Customer experience, brand experience, the impact of AI and other tech advancements, and revenue generation • Tourism's role: In job creation and sustainability The day will conclude with the Dream the Impossible Dream gala dinner, in aid of Touching Dreams. This year, funds are being raised for Reach for a Dream Foundation, Endangered Wildlife Trust and the Touching Dreams Think Big Academy. Jesse Clegg returns as the headline act, with supporting performances by the Wits Performing Arts Department and non-profit organisation, Moving into Dance. All rights reserved. © 2022. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Elavon Partner to Revolutionize Payment Processing for 6,000+ Franchisees

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. (NYSE:WH) is one of the most undervalued US stocks according to analysts. On June 18, Elavon announced an expanded collaboration with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The partnership makes Elavon's Cloud Payments Interface/CPI available to 6,000+ Wyndham franchisees across the US and Canada. The initiative represents a significant advancement in hospitality payments processing. Elavon's CPI is a cloud-based solution that eliminates the need for hotels under Wyndham's 25 brands to purchase or maintain expensive on-site hardware for their property management systems. This reduces operational overhead, minimizes hardware-related security concerns, and enhances the simplicity and security of mobile check-in. A large hotel room with touches of luxury and hospitality in every corner. With CPI, Wyndham franchisees can benefit from scalable payment services, seamless integration with other cloud-based third-party software, and advanced encryption & tokenization technologies to safeguard transactions. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. (NYSE:WH) is a hotel franchisor in the US and internationally. Elavon is a global payments processor that is owned by US Bank (NYSE:USB), the fifth-largest US bank.
