This Lego Star Destroyer is going to bring peace and security to my living room — especially thanks to $50 off in the Prime Day sales

"Two fighters against a Star Destroyer!?" I shout, as I cruise a pair of X-wings towards my latest purchase — this Lego Star Destroyer, straight out of the original trilogy. I got it for cheap, just like you can, thanks to the Prime Day sales. The Lego Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer is now $110 at Amazon, down $50 from full price. Perfect for a Star Wars fan, be they 7 or 77. Or 30. I have to justify it somehow, right? Take over the galaxy with this Star Destroyer Lego set — or, at least, the living room floor. This hulking mass of Lego contains 1555 pieces, and includes minifigures of Darth Vader, Commander Praji, an Imperial Gunner, Imperial Navy Trooper, a Stormtrooper, and a special edition Kal Kestis. This $50 saving brings the Star Destroyer down to its lowest price ever. This version of the Star Destroyer is a mid-sized option, but it still packs in plenty of features. There's a small interior, for example, so you can play around with Darth Vader's Bacta tank or tell the bridge crew to "power up the turbo laser batteries." These are turbo Laser batteries that can move, thanks to some very clever Lego engineering. They pivot from side to side, swiveling in place to aim at any pesky rebels that might be coming to help their pathetic excuse for an incursion on Yavin IV. There's a built-in carrying handle as well, so you can swoosh it around the house and really get on your parents'/significant others' last nerve. Just remember that Star Destroyers have a habit of crashing into each other, and you'll be fine. The selection of minifigures here is fun is also fun. There's the expected Imperial garrison, although I'd like more than the single Stormtrooper. Darth Vader obviously makes an appearance as well. The Kal Kestis figure is the highlight, although I'm not sure if the star of Jedi Survivor ever actually set foot on this class of Star Destroyer. You can now bring your own brand of Imperial terror to your living room thanks to this $50 discount. Perfect for the kid in your life, whether they're 9 or... older. There are plenty more deals to be had this Prime Day — make sure you check out our Prime Day live blog to make sure you're staying on top of all the latest sales and offers.

Seth Rogen coming to Call Of Duty in weed-themed DLC as Star Wars hits Fortnite

Superbad and Donkey Kong actor Seth Rogen is an operator in the next season of Call Of Duty, as a new Star Wars TV show premieres in Fortnite. Following the addition of Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as Jay and Silent Bob earlier this month, Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is keeping up the stoner theme in its next seasonal update. Seth Rogen, known for comedy films such as Knocked Up and Superbad, voicing Donkey Kong in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, and having his own cannabis brand, will be an operator in Call Of Duty's Season 3 Reloaded as part of the High Art event pass. The High Art pass will have two tiers: one free and one premium. In the free track, you'll be able to unlock stickers and emblems themed around the actor, but Rogen's operator will be locked behind the premium tier, alongside weed-themed decals, a laughing emote, and a multi-coloured operator skin. Rogen's operator will be available when Season 3 Reloaded starts on Thursday, May 1. The season is set to start at 5pm BST in the UK, which translates to 9am PT in the US, across all platforms. The season runs for two weeks and concludes on May 15, 2025. To unlock Rogen as an operator, you'll have to purchase access to the premium track of the High Art event pass for 1,100 COD points, which is around £10.99. As outlined in a blog post, the rest of the season includes two new multiplayer maps (Haven and Signal) in Black Ops 6, a Joint Operations limited time mode, new modes for Zombies, and updates to the Verdansk map in Warzone. Call Of Duty isn't the only juggernaut shooter on the brink of a big event, as Fortnite is about to kick off another collaboration with Star Wars. Fortnite: Galactic Battle is set to kick off on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 3pm BST in the UK and 10am ET in the US. During this event, players can play as Darth Jar Jar, General Grievous, or Emperor Palpatine, and pilot X-wings and TIE Fighters around the map. The event will also see an early premiere of new TV show. If you head to the Star Wars Watch Party Island on May 2, you can watch the first two episodes of Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld before it arrives on Disney+ on May 4, 2025. More Trending Star Wars: Tales Of The Underworld is a six-episode series which follows bounty hunters Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane, characters who were last seen in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Book Of Boba Fett, respectively. However, Ventress originally debuted in 2003 animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars and Cad Bane first appeared in 2009, as part of the CGI driven The Clone Wars. While this is the first time a Disney+ show has premiered inside Fortnite, the game has staged watch parties for other media in the past, including the trailer for Christopher Nolan's 2020 film Tenet. Its most infamous Star Wars crossover though was featuring the backstory to Emperor Palpatine's revival in The Rise Of Skywalker, which, incredibly, was not explained in the actual movie.
