Car chases bikers on MG Road after spat, crashes into them from behind
1 2 3 4 Gurgaon: Two Delhi Metro employees were chased down the road and rammed by a car full of drunk men near Sahara Mall, leaving both victims with serious injuries. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of June 4, has led to a police case being registered after almost two weeks. Umesh Kumar (30) and Krishan Kumar Meena (30), both customer relations assistants with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), were riding their motorcycle on MG Road around 2.30am when a black XUV 300 (DL-8C-BJ-8421) hit their bike and sped away. Undeterred by the initial collision, Umesh, a Rewari resident returning from Sikanderpur metro station to his rented accommodation, pursued the vehicle with his colleague. "I blew the horn and flashed the bike's headlights to signal them to stop. I wanted to confront them about the way they were driving the car and their casual approach of hitting us and pretend as if nothing had happened," Umesh told TOI. The situation escalated when the XUV made a U-turn near Sahara Mall. When the biker duo stopped near them, they discovered that the occupants were heavily drunk. "When we tried talking to them, they became aggressive and abusive. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? Sensing danger, the duo attempted to leave, but the XUV gave them a chase and crashed into their motorcycle from behind. The impact was devastating. As the bike skidded off the road, the two were thrown in the air and landed a few metres ahead. "It was a calculated attack. The forceful collision threw us off the bike," said Umesh, who lost consciousness and required 10 days of hospitalisation. He suffered fractures to his hand and face, while Meena sustained a broken hand. It was Meena who managed to seek help and get his unconscious colleague to hospital. Asked about the delay in registering an FIR, police officials attributed it to Umesh's treatment in hospital and his need to consult family members. A case was registered against unknown persons at DLF Phase 1 police station under sections 125, 125(a) (acts endangering life), and 281 (rash driving) of BNS. Police said they were examining CCTV footage to identify the suspects. "This wasn't an accident but a deliberate attempt to endanger our lives," Umesh said, still recovering from the trauma.
