(Video) Alibaba Founder Jack Ma Spotted Cycling In Hangzhou With RM10k Bicycle
Imagine cycling with friends one night when you randomly bump into one of the wealthiest men in the world. While out exercising in a park, a woman in China bumped into Alibaba founder, Jack Ma (马云), who casually cycled beside her. On 17th July 2025 (Thursday), a XiaoHongShu user uploaded a video, revealing that she ran into Jack Ma while at a park with friends. In the captions, the user shared, 'I came to West Lake (in Hangzhou with my friends and ran into Jack Ma! He was wearing sportswear!'. In the video shared, the woman was seen approaching the businessman on her bike before asking him if he was indeed Jack Ma. After the Alibaba founder confirmed his identity, the woman continued the chat, asking if he was also at the park to cycle. She was also heard saying, 'It's quite comfortable to feel the breeze at night'. During the short interaction, Jack Ma smiled and greeted her politely, replying to her comment, 'It's indeed very cool'. As the woman cycled away, the 60-year-old was reminding her to be careful. The short video garnered a lot of attention on social media, as it's one of the rare moments where Jack Ma is spotted in public. As such, netizens were pleased to see him in good shape and comfortably interacting with people. Funnily enough, the video also prompted some netizens to assess his cycling outfit and gear. Some eagle-eyed netizens also discovered that his bicycle is Brompton's C-Line folding bike, which costs 18,500 yuan (approximately RM10,930). Interestingly, some netizens also pointed out that biking at the West Lake was how Jack Ma's life changed for the better. In 1980, the then-16-year-old Jack was riding to the 'English Corner' at West Lake to practice his English with tourists when he met the Morley family from Australia. Jack's friendship with the family led to the businessman staying with them in Australia for 29 days, which he said changed the course of his life. It's nice to see that Jack is still looking great and active despite no longer being in the public eye. Perhaps this small interaction will bring more people to visit the humble West Lake in Hangzhou. Watch the clip below: Source: Oriental Daily, XiaoHongShu

Massive Pop Mart conventions, lash extensions for Labubu, and even character-themed festive decor – when will it all end? Not anytime soon, that's for sure. In fact, just when we thought the craze-inducing toy company couldn't surprise us any further, we spotted aircraft decked out in Pop Mart livery touching down right here on Changi Airport's tarmac. As seen on Changi Airport's official Facebook and Instagram pages, the special Pop Land City Paradise airplanes feature beloved favourites including Molly, Dimoo, Skullpanda, Bunny, Sweet Bean and plenty more – all against a striking red background. And according to netizens on Chinese social media platform Xiao Hong Shu, the interiors of the Airbus A320 plane are also splashed in similar decor, with themed amenities including Pop Mart barf bags, of all things. The Pop Mart aircraft belongs to low-cost Chinese airline Zhejiang Changlong Airlines Co., more commonly referred to as Loong Air (长龙航空). Currently, the themed flights only operate on selected domestic routes within China, with destinations including Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, as well as on limited international routes from China to Jeju and Bangkok. The silver lining? Loong Air launched a new direct route between Singapore and Wenzhou in China's Zhejiang province not too long ago, so Changi Airport's posts might very well be a teaser of potential upcoming Pop Mart-themed journeys involving Singapore as well. Fingers crossed for the blind box fanatics among us! For now, wanderlusters who simply can't wait to explore the newly unlocked destination of Wenzhou can book Loong Air's non-themed budget flights via or Loong Air's website here.

HK Actress Ali Lee On Filming In Malaysia: 'I Can Eat A Lot Because I Sweat A Lot'
Earlier this year, it was reported that Hong Kong stars Ali Lee (李佳芯) and Chris Lai Lok Yi (黎諾懿) would be coming to Malaysia to film an upcoming project. Fast forward, the duo are now in Kuala Lumpur and have a lot to say about working here. The two stars recently spoke to news outlets about filming in Malaysia for the upcoming Astro drama, 'The Exiled'. In the show, Ali plays the tough wife of a gangster, while Chris plays the role of a gang leader. To fit into the roles, both of them have to dress in leather jackets. Unfortunately, the combination of leather outfits with the hot Malaysian weather posed difficulties for the duo. Ali admitted to having a hard time adapting to the hot weather in Malaysia, saying her leather outfit can be overbearing at times. However, the actress found an unexpected positive side to the situation, saying, 'Because I sweat a lot every day, I can eat more delicious food!'. She also expressed excitement about playing a gangster's wife for the first time, saying she looks forward to bringing the character to life. Meanwhile, Chris has other worries about the filming. Since the actor is playing a gang leader, he underwent vigorous training for the challenging action and gunfight scenes. The 45-year-old revealed that he has already lost 5kg from training. However, Chris joked that he might lose more weight given the hot weather in Malaysia, adding that people might think he was in the army once he returned to Hong Kong. While the pair does have slight difficulties adapting to the Malaysian weather, they aren't letting things slow down their work. Photos of Ali and Chris filming in local eateries have made their way to social media, showing their professionalism on set. Those working with the stars also praised them for their chemistry on-screen. However, the two remain humble off-screen, making sure to pose for photos with fans. We're sure Ali and Chris are both working hard for the new drama, and we wish them all the best. Perhaps some lucky local fans will be able to catch them in person while they're in the country. HK Star Edison Chen Has Confrontation With Flight Attendant Over Alleged Unfair Treatment
Hong Kong star Edison Chen (陈冠希) is notorious for his bad temper but has mellowed out since becoming a father. However, the star recently got into a heated argument with a flight attendant. A XiaoHongShu user recently shared an incident involving a Chinese passenger on a flight from Japan to New York on 1st June 2025. According to the user, after the plane arrived at the airport, the cabin crew prepared to disembark a Japanese VIP off the plane first. But the Chinese passenger was dissatisfied with the different treatment and began arguing with the flight attendant. The flight attendant tried to explain the situation, saying the VIP was a Diamond Card holder and had priority to disembark first. However, the Chinese passenger retaliated, saying, 'You said he's a VIP, right? Please look at my boarding pass, I am a Diamond Card member. Tell me, what is the difference between him and me?!'. At one point during the argument, the Chinese passenger even yelled out, 'I'm going to file a complaint, and I'll make you lose your job!'. While the XiaoHongShu post never disclosed the identity of the Chinese passenger, netizens suspect him to be Edison Chen based on the voice recording provided. The public figure also posted about a flight on the day of the incident, solidifying the suspicions. After the issue went viral, Edison Chen's agency posted a statement confirming the allegations. However, the agency also shared the actor's side of the story to provide clarity. According to the agency, after the plane landed, passengers at the back of the flight were in a hurry to disembark. Edison Chen, trying to get to his luggage, had calmly asked if he would take his luggage from the overhead compartment. However, the flight attendant said that a Diamond Card member passenger needed to disembark first, which was when the viral 'fight' started. The agency explained that since Edison Chen is also a diamond card member, he was puzzled by the flight attendant's explanation, leading to the misunderstanding. However, the agency said the star is continuously communicating with the airline over the matter and asked the public to avoid spreading misinformation. Meanwhile, Edison has yet to address the issue. Unfortunately, flights can bring out the worst in you. Of course, we don't condone his alleged actions, but perhaps Edison Chen was voicing his frustration with the situation. What are your thoughts on this?
