Weekly Young and the Restless Spoilers June 23-27: Why Does Lily Leave Cane Out in the Cold?
The Young and the Restless spoilers for June 23-27 focus on the fallout from Dumas's big debut. This involves Lily turning to Damian, Cane dealing with a couple of conspirators, and Abby experiencing a chance encounter. Emphasis on 'chance.' Everybody is aware that Aristotle Dumas is Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn), someone almost everyone at his party knows and has known for years. Now comes the time for the reactions from the Newmans, Abbotts, and Winters families. There will definitely be individuals who aren't happy. It looks like Billy (Jason Thompson) and Sally (Courtney Hope) are two of those people. On Thursday, the Abbott Communications duo conspires against Cane. Billy was sitting pretty and feeling good about himself because, for a while there, he was the only one who had phone conversations with the mogul. Billy knows how to make enemies, doesn't he? Meanwhile, Lily (Christel Khalil) is in some sort of denial. Lily thought finding out who Dumas was would change everything. According to teasers, Lily is left with more questions than answers. That's at the beginning of the week. Later, Lily chooses classic avoidance and instead of figuring things out with Cane, she leans on Damian (Jermaine Rivers) on Thursday. And then makes a bold move with Damian on Friday. Does this mean Damian and Lily will grow closer after next week? READ THIS: Here's what to expect on the Monday, June 23 episode of Y&R. Abby (Melissa Ordway) arrives in Nice, and she suddenly has a 'chance' encounter. Chance (Conner Floyd), in this case, is her ex-husband. In the 'Next On' preview at the end of Friday's episode, Jack (Peter Bergman) mentions Chance being on the invite list. What will a French encounter between the two look like? Also in Nice, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) have both experienced creepy vibes from the oversized maze Cane set up for his party. Unfortunately, it hits a little too close to home and reminds them of Martin Laurent (Christopher Cousins) and how he played those sick psychological games with them. Sharon and Phyllis may have to support each other, once again, when they receive a painful reminder of their past trauma. READ THIS: Cane?! Is That You?! 'Aristotle Dumas' is about to blow up everyone's lives on Y&R. Back in Genoa City, we're about to get another interaction between Holden (Nathan Owens) and Claire (Hayley Erin) when Holden comes to Claire's rescue. Anytime these two get together, they're flirty and they drink Vespers. After the rescue, will the flirtiness and toasts continue?

What Happened to Cane Ashby? Billy Flynn Teases Major Changes on Y&R
Fans of The Young and the Restless were in for a shocking twist when Billy Flynn debuted as the enigmatic Aristotle Dumas on June 19. In the next episode, he revealed that Dumas was actually Cane Ashby, the role formerly played by Daniel Goddard. Flynn recently opened up about stepping into this iconic character and his approach to making it his own in an interview with TV Insider. Billy Flynn admitted that when he first met with Y&R's head writer and executive producer, Josh Griffith, he had no idea he'd be taking over the role of Cane. Once he learned of the opportunity, Flynn immersed himself in the character's past, watching old episodes and studying Cane's history, particularly his complicated relationship with Lily (Christel Khalil). Flynn acknowledged the challenge of portraying a character originally played by Goddard, noting that while the Australian accent and age gap would be different, he was determined to bring something fresh to the role. 'We're going to rebrand it a bit,' Flynn shared, emphasizing that his version of Cane would be his own unique take. MORE: Find out what happens next week on Y&R. Despite the differences in Flynn's portrayal, the connection with Lily remains central to Cane's storyline. Flynn reflected on how the chemistry between him and Khalil was immediately palpable during their first scene together. 'There was a chemistry that I was like, 'Okay, it's gonna be good,'' Flynn said. He also expressed confidence that viewers would recognize the bond between Cane and Lily as the heart of their dynamic, despite the changes in the characters' backgrounds and personalities. 'Lily is Cane's one true love,' he declared. 'I know how to do that.' WATCH THIS: Did you know Soap Hub has a podcast?! Check it out here! Having previously stepped into the role of Chad DiMera on Days of Our Lives, Flynn has plenty of experience with recasting. However, he made it clear that his version of Cane will stand on its own. While Flynn respects what Goddard brought to the role, he is excited to make the character his own and promised that fans would still recognize the essence of Cane through his connections with the other characters. As Cane's return to Genoa City heats up, Flynn's portrayal promises to shake things up in unexpected ways. Fans are eager to see how he navigates his reimagined role in the coming weeks.

Days of our Lives Casting Surprise! Conner Floyd Is The New Chad
Days of Our Lives has a new Chad DiMera! Conner Floyd, who is still airing as Chance on The Young and the Restless, begins filming as Chad on June 23rd, according to Deadline. Billy Flynn, the current Chad, just started airing on Y&R as Cane Ashby on June 19th, after it was discovered that his original character, Aristotle Dumas, was actually Cane. Because DAYS films so far in advance, Flynn will air on Y&R and Days simultaneously until early 2026. Floyd will start airing as Chad in April 2026. MORE: Here's what you need to know about Conner Floyd. Flynn recently spoke to TV Insider about taking over the role. When Billy Flynn first sat down with Y&R head writer and executive producer Josh Griffith, he had no idea he was being considered for the role of Cane Ashby. It wasn't until later that the opportunity was laid out—and once it was, Flynn dove in headfirst. He began studying the character's history, revisiting past episodes, and focusing particularly on Cane's longtime romance with Lily, played by Christel Khalil. Although his version of Cane will bring notable differences—such as a change in accent and age dynamic—Flynn emphasized that the emotional anchor of the character remains the same. 'There was a chemistry that I was like, 'Okay, it's gonna be good,'' Flynn recalled, describing his immediate connection with Khalil during their first scene together. He's confident that the deep bond between Cane and Lily will still be the emotional centerpiece, no matter how the character evolves. 'Lily is Cane's one true love,' he said. 'I know how to do that.' Flynn is no stranger to taking on roles with rich histories, and while he acknowledges the work done by original portrayer Daniel Goddard, he's not looking to mimic what came before. Instead, he sees this as a chance to offer a new, fully realized interpretation of Cane. 'We're going to rebrand it a bit,' he explained, noting that his portrayal would be distinct yet rooted in the heart of who Cane is. As Cane makes his dramatic return to Genoa City, fans can expect a refreshed take on the character—one that promises to stay true to the essence of Cane, while pushing him into uncharted territory. Flynn's approach might be different, but the legacy of the character—and especially the love story at its center—remains firmly intact. Casey Deidrick originated the role of Chad in 2009. Flynn stepped into the role in 2014. Chad began a popular romance with Abigail Deveraux. WATCH THIS: Did you know Soap Hub has a podcast?! Check it out here!
