ABVP has always fought for student causes, says national secretary
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has consistently been at the forefront in addressing student issues, said the organisation's national secretary Shravan. He was speaking at a rally organised from P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Sciences at Mogalrajpuram here on Friday to mark the 77th Foundation Day of ABVP.
Recalling the inception of the organisation on June 9, 1949, with just five members, Mr. Shravan said the ABVP had grown into the world's largest student organisation with a membership of over six million. He said the ABVP had played a key role in instilling patriotism among students and advancing the idea of 'Nation First'.
The Parishad's State secretary Y. Venkata Gopi said the organisation was committed to nurturing the values of knowledge, character, and unity among students.
ABVP State leaders Suman, Durga Rao, Subramanyam and others also took part in the event.
