Milton Keynes youngsters make DJ history with sold-out performance in Ibiza
Half Punk, made up of DJ Steady and DJ Yaya, became the youngest DJs to perform in Ibiza when they took to the stage at a popular resort in the party capital The UK's youngest DJ duo – just 10 and 12 years old – have performed a sold-out gig at a resort in a renowned party hotspot. DJ Steady and DJ Yaya makeup the duo known as Half Punk, whose name and performance pay homage to music legends Daft Punk. With schools closing for the summer, the pair, who are from Milton Keynes, have traded their school desks for DJ decks to join the likes of David Guetta, Carl Cox and Solomun in entertaining crowds in Ibiza. The record-breaking pair headlined the TUI Holiday Villages Seaview's Ibiza Family Opening Weekender on Saturday, 26th July. The duo even wear replicas of Daft Punk's iconic high-tech helmets. They were joined on stage by Yaya's younger brother, MC Mari, real name Marley, who introduced them to the audience. Half Punk's set list was packed with top 20 club anthems voted for by the public. The 1992 hit Rhythm is a Dancer by SNAP! topped the poll, appearing on 28 per cent of voters' lists. It was closely followed by ABBA's Dancing Queen from 1976, which was voted for by 27 per cent In addition to rocking the resort, the young DJs also aimed to shake up the industry by inspiring more girls to take to the turntables. Despite improvements in recent years, only 20 per cent of DJs booked for the 2025 Ibiza party season are women. Half Punk's international debut challenged gender bias and celebrated the resort's new entertainment programme, which taps into 'family raving'. This comes after research by TUI, which revealed a surge in demand for daytime clubbing events and family raves – with these searches increasing by an astonishing 53 per cent since 2023. 'What an incredible way to celebrate the start of the school summer holidays and a new season of brilliant entertainment at Holiday Villages' said Natalie Johnson, Concept and Proposition Manager at TUI Holiday Villages. 'Half Punk were out of this world, and to say the crowd went wild is an understatement." 'We're really proud to showcase this talented pair of young DJs who we know have such bright futures ahead of them - and our MC was the ultimate hype man," she added. 'It's certainly a night none of us will forget.' Meet Zimomo, the ‘other' Labubu doll that did not meet the main-character energy
(Image Credits: Pinterest) From a plush doll to a bag charm, a cartoon collectible that sold for six figures is more than just a Gremlin. Yes, you got it right; we're talking about everyone's favourite Labubu, which has sent the internet into a frenzy with its evil smile and little toes. Available in a range of sizes, these plushy monsters come in blind boxes and have taken over the fashion industry in just a month. We are all tired of influencers and celebrities constantly showing off their Labubu and Lafufu, i.e., (fake Labubu) dolls online. Being sold on the internet for a whopping price of Rs 5,000, with limited edition ones shooting up even higher, people are going crazy behind these monsters. (Image Credits: Pinterest) But there is one adorable partner of Labubu that did not match the energy of the audience and turned out to be a flop. We are talking about Zimomo. Labubu's forest friend, who has a small tail and a rounder face. Who on Earth is Zimomo now? Zimomo is the leader of the Labubu elves. While at first glance the characters may all look similar to you, there are minor differences between them. For example, Zimomo has a spiked tail, while Labubu doesn't have a tail. The original Labubu has a squarish face, whereas Zimomo has a cute, rounder face. If the story series is anything to go by, Zimomo is twice the size of Labubu, with a bright and cute smile, happy to be carried as a bag charm. 5 street fashion trends that have been making waves in India Think of him as a sweet, angelic cousin Zimomo is basically the main-character energy in this toyverse. Unlike Labubu's evil and mischievous personality, Zimomo is known to be thoughtful, calm, and innocent, which makes him the leader of the pack. He judges Labubu for his quirky activities, but amidst this show-sha, poor Zimomo was left behind, as Labubu went ahead and took the spotlight. Zimomo is designed by Ayan Deng and has pastel shades with floral patterns, which would look perfect with your sleek and stylish bags. But hold it there; don't get too excited, as in terms of price, Zimomo is much more expensive than you can imagine. Zimomo is up for sale for around Rs 50,000 on Pop Mart. Now, you know the real reason for his downfall. (Image Credits: Pinterest) But, if you're already tired of following the crowd and want something different from Labubu under your budget, then explore the other friends of Labubu and Zimomo. You can pick Yaya, Vos, Pippo, Spooky, Mococo, Tycoco, and Pato. Each has its own personality with little feature changes, which can instantly amp up your accessory look. So yes, while our parents and grandparents are busy collecting coins and stamps, Gen Z out there are buying mysterious little goblins for the price of a whole weekend trip. And do not forget that this Labubu mania made its founder, Wang Ning, China's 10th richest billionaire. Who would've thought that these vicious-looking dolls could be profitable?

M'sians call out mum who 'apologised' for spending ‘only' RM1 million on daughter's birthday
MALAYSIA: A very lucky little girl in Malaysia received lavish gifts when she celebrated her birthday recently. And yet, her mum still felt compelled to apologise for having spent only RM1 million (S$303,000). Video clips from the child's birthday went viral on TikTok beginning from Monday (June 2), racking millions of views. @farhanazahra91 Selamat ulang tahun Yaya yang ke 11 tahun, besar da anak mama, semoga cita-cita untuk menjadi business women berjaya menjadi kenyataan 🥺 #farhanazahra91 #farhanazahra #cikna ♬ original sound – Farhana Zahra – Farhana Zahra @farhanazahra91 Begini rasanya bila kita dapat buat orang happy ! Menangis cikna tengok video ni 😭😭😭 #farhanazahra91 #farhanazahra #cikna ♬ original sound – Farhana Zahra – Farhana Zahra Farhana Zahra (farhanazahra91) is a businesswoman and influencer in the supplement and beauty industry. In her videos, her daughter, who just turned 11 years old, can be seen unwrapping a Rolex watch and an Apple computer from her parents. Moreover, the girl, Yaya, also received a black Toyota Vellfire. And yet, Ms Farhana wrote, 'Forgive Mama, this is all Mama could give to her child. I only spent RM1 million on this birthday.' The influencer's generosity also extended to her daughter's former driver, who received a brand spanking new red Mercedes-Benz that night. This is not the first year Ms Farhana has made the news for the extravagant gifts she gives her children. In April 2023, Yaya's younger sister, Fatima, received a luxury SUV to motivate her to go back to school after she had stopped for a while when she got sick. The influencer gave Fatima a Mercedes G Wagon, then reportedly worth RM1.79 million, when she celebrated her fifth birthday party a few nights later with family and friends, after the girl promised her mum she would go back to school. @farhanazahra91 Happy birthday Nur Fatima Az zahra yang ke 5 ❤️❤️❤️ happy dia dapat G Wagon yang dia nak, sampai dia asyik mintak nak pegang kunci je hahaha ♬ original sound – Farhana Zahra – Farhana Zahra The lavish presents given to Yaya have not gone over well with many Malaysians, who apparently feel that this is not the wisest way to raise children. 'Just goes to show money can't buy wisdom nor intelligence,' a Facebook user wrote, while another agreed that 'Money cannot buy common sense.' Another was more gentle, but addressed Yaya's parents to say, 'Even if you can afford to provide a lavish and expensive party for your daughter, perhaps moderation is better.' Some felt that the money spent on the gifts and party could have been put to other purposes. 'That amount of funds can be better used to fund underprivileged children, who I'm certain will be very grateful to be able to be gifted with a good meal on their table. But again, to each of its own,' one wrote. When the videos were shared on Reddit Malaysia, the top comment read, 'So sad 1M. My parents used to spend 20 million to 50 million for my birthday. Usually, my birthday is six months long, too. Her parents just don't love her.' Another joined in the mockery, writing, 'If you didn't get a world tour vacation, got the whole Mount Everest, given the entire share of Google and Microsoft available, given an entire country, are you even loved?' /TISG Read also: Malaysian couple bashed for having their cat's lavish birthday bash at Louis Vuitton boutique

Kaizer Chiefs have already temped Bafana midfield hard man to Naturena?
Whispers abound that a Kaizer Chiefs player is making his best efforts to convince a Bafana midfielder to join the club. 26-year-old Sphephelo Sithole, affectionately known as 'Yaya' could be keen on a return to the South Africa. He's only made two league appearances for Gil Vicente this term, and there are rumours that current Chiefs players are already trying to tempt him over. 'Yaya (Sithole) wants to come back to South Africa, because a player persuaded him to join him at Naturena,' a source said earlier in the year. 'The only thing now that will cause a problem is the nature of his contract. Remember he is on loan at Tondela and Sithole's contract only expires in June 2026. So a fee must be agreed with Gil Vicente, his parent club unless the club is willing to terminate his current contract.' Amakhosi's MTN8 dreams are still in their own hands, but they need to win both of their remaining league matches to guarantee a top-eight berth. They face two tough fixtures; first away to Sekhukhune and then at home against Polokwane. Sekhukhune vs Chiefs kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday, 17 May. Amakhosi host Polokwane on Saturday, 24 May with kickoff also at 15:00. 'I wouldn't be honest if say that I'm gonna stay if the club doesn't allow me to get all the tools to succeed next season because they have promised, and myself, I have promised the fans that I want to build a successful team that will compete in every competition to win trophies,' Nabi told SuperSport .
