Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended Liberia Technology Summit 2025
On July 21, Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the Liberia Technology Summit 2025 and delivered a speech. The event was also attended by Hon. Haja Mamaka Bility, Acting Minister of States, Hon. Augustine K. Ngafuan, Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Hon. Sekou M. Kromah, Minister of Post and Telecommunications. Representatives from relevant UN agencies and diplomatic missions in Liberia. Yin highlighted the outcomes of the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and China's achievements in science and technology. He pointed out that China will establish a global scientific research fund and increase science and technology assistance to developing countries, making technological progress benefits all humanity. He expressed China is willing to strengthen scientific and technological innovation cooperation with Liberia, so as to make it a new engine of China-Liberia strategic partnership. Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended 2025 Liberia Investment Conference
On July 16, Ambassador Yin Chengwu attended the 2025 Liberia Investment Conference. The event was also attended by Hon. Jeremiah Kpan Koung, Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Magdalene Ellen Dagoseh, Representatives from relevant UN agencies and diplomatic missions in Liberia. At the conference, Ambassador Yin briefed the outcomes of the recent Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Outcomes of the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC). He particularly highlighted the new measures such as China's zero-tariff treatments for 100% of taxable items originating from African countries with diplomatic relations with China. He stressed the principles of openness and cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, as well as trustworthy partnership. Furthermore, he proposed five key recommendations for further advance China-Liberia cooperation, including enhancing strategic synergy, streamlining the business environment, pioneering emerging sectors, strengthening institutional frameworks, and fostering people-to-people bonds. Ambassador Yin Chengwu met with Liberian House Representatives
On June 25th , Yin Chengwu, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia, met with Hon. Nehker Gaye, Chairman of House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Gizzie Kollince, Chairman of House Committee on National Security, and Hon. Samson Wiah, Co-Chairman of House Committee on Maritime Affairs. The two sides exchanged views on China-Liberia relations and legislative cooperation between the two countries. Yin briefed on the relevant situation of the Ministerial Meeting of Coordinators on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, and expressed that China is willing to work with Liberia to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies and promote the continuous development of the strategic partnership between the two countries. Liberia: Ambassador Yin Chengwu Attends Handover Ceremony of Cardiology Department Project Under Paired Hospital Cooperation Mechanism
On June 3, Chinese Ambassador to Liberia Yin Chengwu attended the handover ceremony of the Cardiology Department project under the China-Liberia Paired Hospital Cooperation Mechanism. Also present were Liberian Health Minister Hon. Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, JFK Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Dr. Linda Birch, representatives from Heilongjiang Provincial Hospital, members of the 17th Chinese Medical Team to Liberia, and representatives from JFK Medical Center, totaling about 100 attendees. Minister Dr. Louise Kpoto and CEO Dr. Linda Birch expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its long-term and strong support to Liberia's health sector. They stated that this project, as Liberia's first dedicated cardiology diagnosis and treatment department, would surely provide higher quality medical services to the people. Ambassador Yin pointed out that the Cardiology Department project is a powerful testament to the friendship between the two peoples, a concrete manifestation of China's policy towards Africa characterized by "sincerity, real results, amity and good faith", and a positive outcome of implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit. China, ambassador Yin affirmed, will continue to support the development of Liberia's health sector and promote Liberia's ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development. Ambassador Yin Chengwu and Liberian Defense Minister Inspect China-Aided Project in Liberia

He emphasized that the initiative stands as a significant achievement in advancing practical cooperation between the two nations. He urged the construction team to prioritize safety, ensure timely and high-quality completion of the project, and contribute further to the development of China-Liberia relations. Defense Minister George expressed Liberia's high regard for the project, pledging full support to coordinate with the Chinese construction team and ensure the initiative aligns with Liberia's AIID agenda.
