Lizzo Calls Out ‘Thin-Presenting' People Who Body Shame Others: ‘It Is Not Your Place'

Lizzo has had enough of people policing other people's bodies, no matter what size they are. In a recent TikTok, the singer-songwriter shared a message for certain 'thin-presenting' people, who she says need to stop telling others what they should or shouldn't do with their bodies. 'I have to say something,' she began, addressing the camera in a turquoise workout set. 'It is not your place to criticize or shame people in bigger bodies.' (Period)' Rauw Alejandro Gains Big: 'Carita Linda' Takes No. 1 Spot on Latin Airplay Chart 'It's not your place to criticize how they choose to live in that body [or] how they choose to change that body,' Lizzo continued. 'Especially if you were in a bigger body and you are now in a smaller-presenting body, it really feels inappropriate for you to speak on somebody whose body is changing. You of all people should understand that bodies change.' The hitmaker went on to say that her reason for making the video had 'nothing to do with me and my feelings,' emphasizing that she instead wanted to speak up for other people who have been 'getting their feelings hurt' by comments about their physical appearance online. 'People forget that the body positive movement was about radical self acceptance,' she explained. 'It wasn't just about people in bigger bodies, it was about people in disabled bodies, queer bodies, Black and brown bodies. When body positivity got commercialized and gentrified, it just became synonymous with the word 'fat.' Now if a person in a bigger body decides to change their body and get smaller, all of a sudden, they're not body positive anymore.' 'To all of my bigger-bodied people, do what you want to do with your body,' she concluded. 'Don't let nobody try to bully you. Don't let nobody try to shame you. Don't let nobody try to cancel you.' Lizzo's post comes as the star has been more and more open about her own weight loss journey — or, as she prefers to call it, 'weight release.' After suffering back pain caused by her weight putting pressure on her spinal discs, the Yitty founder embarked on a quest to become more active and eat healthier, something she opened up about in a recent Women's Health cover story. 'It's okay to release weight,' she told the publication. 'It's okay to gain weight after you've released weight, because what you're not going to do is shame me if my body changes again and I get bigger.' Shortly after the interview was published, Lizzo shared side-by-side before and after photos of her body on Instagram. 'I work my a– off, training 3x a week, daily sauna & cardio, adding animal protein back into my diet, hiring a chef who helps me meal prep and keeps track of what I put into my body in a calorie deficit, cutting out sugary Starbucks & full fat sodas & potato chips,' she wrote in her caption at the time, clarifying once again that she didn't achieve her slimmer figure by taking Ozempic. Lizzo puzzles fans with new video as they struggle to tell if she's naked

Lizzo made jaws drop on Thursday as fans struggled to tell if she was wearing clothes in her new clip shared on Instagram. The singer, 37, showed off her slimmed-down figure in a provocative backyard video set to her track Still Can't Fuh. The clip showed off her curves in a platinum-blonde wig and what looked like nothing at all, while surrounded by a crew of backup dancers wearing barely-there thongs and sheer bodysuits. 'Are they naked I'm so confused,' one fan wrote, while another added, 'Who else thought they was naked?' Someone chimed in, 'They're not???' while another joked, 'Might as well be.' The mystery was eventually cleared up by a fan who explained they were wearing shapewear from Lizzo's own Yitty line: 'They're wearing nude sets from her line lol.' Another eagle-eyed viewer confirmed: 'They are actually wearing very sheer body suits. Zoom in and you see the sparkles on it and the crotch area on Lizzo's suit.' Speaking to Women's Health as part of their Fuel Like series, Lizzo explained: 'My relationship with eating has evolved so much. We've had highs and we've had lows. Like it's a very complicated relationship. Um there have been times where I have undernourished myself. 'There have been times where I was binging. I feel like right now in my life when I intuitively eat and listen to my body, that always works out for me.' Lizzo revealed she experienced a period of 'very low energy', which ultimately pushed her to start 'eating animal protein' again. She continued: 'I had a period where I was experiencing a lot of like stomach pain and and stomach issues. So my trainer at the time, he noticed my diet and he was like, you know, I highly suggest a Japanese diet. When I had the opportunity to go to Japan for the first time, I was like, "All right, let's let's put our toe in the water with a country whose food I know is very, very clean". 'And I started eating animal proteins over there. And I felt incredible.' In June, Lizzo explained that she started to take Ozempic at the beginning of her weight loss journey in 2023, but soon came to the conclusion that GLP-1 medication wouldn't help her in the long term. She said: 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' While the star made the choice to stop taking Ozempic early on, she said that she didn't see it as 'cheating' for those that have taken the medication to help with losing weight. She explained: 'It's not easy. It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with. I think their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating.' Earlier this year in January, the singer proudly announced that she had achieved her weight loss goal. On Instagram at the time, she said: 'I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. 'I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!'

Lizzo confuses fans with NUDE video as they struggle to tell if she's actually naked amid dramatic weight loss

Lizzo left jaws on the floor Thursday after posting a steamy clip to Instagram that had fans asking one question: Is she even wearing clothes? The Grammy-winning singer, 37 — who recently revealed she's tried Ozempic — flaunted her slimmed-down figure in a sizzling backyard video set to her track Still Can't Fuh. With her back to the camera and her derriere front and center, Lizzo looked like a modern-day Lady Godiva as she slowly swayed her hips in the sunset. The clip showed her rocking a platinum-blonde wig and what looked like nothing at all — while surrounded by a crew of backup dancers equally scantily clad in barely-there thongs and sheer bodysuits. The outfits were so sheer and tiny they sparked double takes, with the optical illusion sending social media into chaos. She made an appearance on Trisha Paytas' podcast Just Trish in late June and decided to come clean. 'I tried everything,' she said while explaining how she tried using GLP-1 drugs for several months in the beginning of her weight loss journey. 'Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? Lizzo channels Baywatch era Pamela Anderson in iconic red swimsuit after sharing 'truth' about her weight loss

Lizzo channeled the Baywatch icon Pamela Anderson in a red, one-piece swimsuit in her latest social media post over the weekend. On Saturday, the Juice hitmaker took to Instagram to share a video of herself modeling a sexy piece of swimwear from her brand Yitty as she lounged poolside. While laying down by the pool, she ran her hands up and down her body and showcased her toned and noticeably slimmer curves. She showed off her long, platinum blonde beach waves as well as an icy, diamond-encrusted Yitty chain on her neck. With a blank space left for her fans to share their imagination, she wrote in her caption: 'Put some @yitty on yo ______!' This comes after the 37-year-old singer revealed the 'truth' about her weight loss journey — and as her fans turned on the thinner-than-ever star as she finally admits to using Ozempic after her rampant denial. Her Ozempic transformation was on full display, as the star sparked fierce online reaction after she finally admitted to trying the famed celebrity weight loss drug - after years of denial. In the past two years, there has been a flurry of fan speculation about Lizzo using Ozempic as she documented her weight loss journey on social media. She previously denied using any form of weight loss drugs and credited her major transformation due to an extreme workout regimen and eating healthy. However, she made an appearance on Trisha Paytas' podcast Just Trish in late June and decided to come clean. 'I tried everything,' she said while explaining how she tried using GLP-1 drugs for several months in the beginning of her weight loss journey. 'Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full. But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' Many of her fans seemingly turned on her after she 'lied' for months and previously denied allegations, claiming she achieved her much slimmer figure through 'weight lifting and calorie deficit.' Back in September 2024, she denied rumors and said weight lifting and calorie deficits was her secret to losing weight. She also said that she started getting results when she stopped being vegan after many years of not eating meat. 'What did it for me is, it was not being vegan,' she explained. 'Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. I was eating a lot of bread. I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full.' The Grammy winner said that eating meat again allowed her to avoid eating products with 'fake sugar and weird stuff.' She also insisted that Ozempic and other weight loss drugs are not 'cheating.' 'It's not easy. It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with,' she said. 'I think people — it's their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating.' Her admission comes as she faced backlash for 'cheating' after she rose to fame for championing body positivity. Recently, she opened up about the 'truth' as she shared her lifestyle changes but has not revealed exactly how much weight she has lost. In a new interview with Women's Health, the Grammy winner revealed she's adopted a high-protein, low-carb diet to help her meet and exceed her goals. She starts her day with a go-to breakfast of two scrambled eggs, chicken sausage, and a cauliflower hash brown. For lunch, she opts for a shredded Thai chicken salad or lettuce wraps stuffed with tuna or sliced chicken breast. For dinner, she often opts for turkey meatloaf with cauliflower mashed potatoes and green beans — a satisfying, balanced end to her day. She makes sure to finish her final meal of the day by 5 p.m. 'I have GERD [gastroesophageal reflux disease], so my body needs time to digest food before I go to sleep, so acid doesn't roll up to my throat,' she explained. Her snacks are equally disciplined: low-sugar Greek yogurt with blueberries or blackberries, topped with a drizzle of honey for sweetness. She's also ditched her former habit of multiple daily Frappuccinos, now choosing coffee with vanilla protein powder instead. That said, the About Damn Time artist still allows herself a few indulgences, including chicken tenders with waffles, crab legs or a coconut-cream-filled donut. Her transformation is also supported by a strict fitness routine guided by a personal trainer.
