Chandrababu distributes pension to elderly in Malakapalli, says committed to super six schemes
In a recent public forum in Malakapalli, East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu highlighted the significance of pensions in invigorating local economies, stating that villages come alive on the first of every month due to pension distributions. The CM actively participated in the event by beating a drum on stage to mark the occasion. Emphasising the regime's commitment to their "Super Six" schemes, Chandrababu accused the previous government of mishandling salaries and pensions, asserting they have launched the 'Pedala Sevalo' programme aimed at assisting the underprivileged. He revealed that the government is allocating a substantial Rs. 2,750 crore monthly on pensions. "Rebuilding our state is our promise. We intend to lead it from devastation to development. The destruction witnessed during the YSRCP regime is unprecedented," he remarked, pledging efforts to rejuvenate the economy and distribute wealth more equitably. The Chief Minister announced plans for free transport for women via the RTC starting August 15, along with celebrating achievements that include two Guinness records and 21 records in the World Book stemming from the Yoga Andhra event held in Visakhapatnam. "We have deposited Rs. 10,000 crore as a tribute to our mother," he added, reinforcing his dedication to the region's progress.

He announced that a record-breaking 144,000 yoga instructors have registered for the event, which aims to celebrate International Yoga Day. Naidu highlighted the achievement of 22,000 tribal students who set a Guinness World Record with their performance of Surya Namaskar, demonstrating the widespread enthusiasm for yoga in the region. He encouraged attendees to practise yoga for at least an hour each day, asserting that such commitment yields significant benefits. 'Yoga is not merely an exercise; it cultivates discipline and concentration,' he stated, underscoring the broader significance of the practice. The Chief Minister noted that Yoga Day is celebrated in 130 countries, advocating for its integration into all sports. He expressed his vision of incorporating yoga into the Swarna Andhra 2047 initiative, aiming to promote a healthier and more disciplined society.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Visakhapatnam on Friday to take part in the International Yoga Day celebrations organised by the Andhra Pradesh government. He was welcomed at the airport by Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and Education and IT Minister Nara Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan posted on 'X', saying, 'I extend my hearty welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has arrived to participate in the International Yoga Day tomorrow in Visakhapatnam city, where lakhs of people will participate in the Yogandhra event being conducted by Andhra Pradesh government.'advertisementNara Lokesh also shared a message on the social media platform 'X' and wrote, 'I welcome the Honourable Prime Minister who arrived in Visakhapatnam to participate in the YogaAndhra program. Modi means motivation, Modi means dedication. Andhra Pradesh is ready to break records in organising Yoga!' The Yogandhra program is expected to be one of the largest Yoga gatherings, taking place in a 26-km-long corridor from RK Beach in Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram. Over 3 lakh people are expected to perform Yoga Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the event, which will be held from 6.30 am to 8 am on Saturday, will aim to gain international recognition and break records, including a Guinness World Record."As many as 25,000 tribal students will perform Surya Namaskars for 108 minutes.
