15 Oregon food carts are among the nation's best, according to Yelp
PORTLAND, Ore. () — More than a dozen Oregon eateries secured a spot on a list of the best food carts in the U.S. — although the roundup refers to them as 'food trucks.'
its ranking ahead of National Food Truck Day on Friday, June 27. While no Oregon eateries placed within the top 10, the business reviewing platform noted that the state had the second-most appearances on the list.

California nabbed 22 spots, while Oregon nabbed 15. Portland was additionally listed as the second-best food cart city, after Austin, Texas and before Los Angeles.
The Rose City's Yoshi Sushi was the highest-ranking business in the state, at No. 15. Portland's Bake On the Run, Aloha's Pachanga and Eugene's Bing King were also among Yelp's top food carts in the U.S.

Also in the Pacific Northwest, three Washington places were highlighted as well. Kennewick's El Fat Cat Grill ranked as the 42nd-best food cart, while Issaquah's Xochi was ranked at 52nd-best. Tacoma's P&J's Waffle Delight secured the final spot at No. 100.

Yelp cited a that found America's food truck scene was worth $1.8 billion in 2024. In Portland, which in April, city officials have reported there were more than 1,100 food carts that generated about 3,000 jobs as of 2022.
'The best place to eat in your area might actually be a food truck,' Yelp said. 'That's right, mobile kitchens are bringing talented chefs to local neighborhoods, where they're cooking up gourmet meals and creative new dishes at affordable prices.'
