Can you enter and leave TRNSMT as Scotland's biggest music festival one day away?

You might want to leave the festival grounds for a multitude of reasons but there are important points to note TRNSMT, the country's biggest music festival, is just one day away. The three-day music event will hitch up in Glasgow from July 11-13 for a weekend takeover of Glasgow Green with headliners including 50 Cent and Biffy Clyro. Snow Patrol, The Script, Fontaines D.C. and Gracie Abrams will also grace the stage. And those who have been counting down the days until TRNSMT will be happy to hear that they will be able to enjoy listening to a variety of their favourite artists in the glorious sunshine this weekend as mercury levels are set to rise as high as 28C. ‌ Glasgow is predicted to be hotter than Tenerife, so festival-goers will need to make sure they stay hydrated and slathered in sun cream as the city is hit with a mini heatwave. ‌ Aside from that, music lovers may be wondering how to get to and from the event, what items are banned from the grounds, expert tips for preparation and recovery, and how safe the festival actually is. The Record has provided answers to the majority of these questions, as well as providing the food and drink vendor list for 2025 - from boujee burgers to South Asian street food - and explaining where you can watch it on TV. But what about entering and leaving TRNSMT? There are many reasons why Scots might need to come and go. Family emergencies, topping up on hydration supplies, meeting up with friends who happen to be in town that day, or simply having a breather may play a part. However, TRNSMT have confirmed that there is no re-entry allowed once you're in the festival site. ‌ That means that once you're in, you're in for the day. Of course, attendees may leave whenever they want, but once they have left the grounds, they can't come back in. This applies even if you still have your ticket, according to the event's website. This policy applies to all ticket holders, including VIP ticket holders. ‌ There is no re-admission with tickets, therefore ticket holders who leave the event will not be permitted to re-enter. In general, it's crucial to know what to expect ahead of the festival. ‌ One vital thing to be aware of is how you can pay for food and drink on the festival grounds. Many venues and events have opted to go completely cashless these days, especially after the pandemic. ‌ Age restrictions are also something to keep in mind. All festival attendees must be a minimum of 16-years-old, and ID may be required upon entry to the site. A driving licence or provisional licence, or an ID with an intact PASS logo, such as a Young Scot Card, can be used as valid ID.
