Israel Continues Genocidal War and Starvation Campaign Against Gaza on 618th Day
DaysofPal – For the 618th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continue their genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip, combining relentless airstrikes, ground operations, and a deliberate starvation strategy. The result: tens of thousands of Palestinians dead or injured, amid mounting international concern and inaction.
According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, the death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 55,297 martyrs, with 128,426 others injured. In the past 24 hours alone, at least 86 Palestinians were killed in Israeli air raids across multiple areas of Gaza.
Field reports by Palestine Online document the continued Israeli bombardment, mass displacement, and destruction of civilian infrastructure.
Rafah: Israeli forces opened fire on starving civilians waiting for humanitarian aid near a U.S.-designated distribution point, killing two and wounding several. Further south, additional casualties were reported in an assault west of Rafah.
Netzarim Corridor: Three civilians were killed by Israeli fire while waiting for aid. Another young man, Yousef Mohammed Jouda, succumbed to wounds sustained in a similar attack.
Khan Younis: Israeli warplanes bombed Hamad City, a densely populated residential area, resulting in multiple civilian casualties.
Gaza City: In the eastern Shuja'iyya neighborhood, occupation forces demolished residential buildings in controlled explosions. Artillery strikes and naval shelling also targeted civilians waiting for aid west of the city.
Deir al-Balah: Heavy artillery fire struck eastern neighborhoods, compounding the humanitarian crisis in central Gaza.
Medical personnel at Al-Awda Hospital reported the recovery of three bodies from under the rubble near the Wadi Gaza Bridge, following an earlier Israeli attack on a U.S. aid distribution center in the Netzarim area.
These latest incidents illustrate a clear pattern: targeting civilians at aid centers, bombing displacement zones, and intensifying a man-made famine that has left over a million people at risk of starvation.
Despite widespread documentation of war crimes, Israel continues its military campaign with impunity, aided by silence or complicity from key international actors.
