Mayibuye iAfrika concert returns with star-studded line-up and youth power punch
The Mayibuye iAfrika Concert is back for its third edition — and this year, it's bringing the heat with a Youth Unleash Special that promises to shake the Mandela Stage to its core.
Happening on Saturday and Sunday at the Joburg Theatre, the musical celebration lands right in the heart of Youth Month, putting the spotlight on South Africa's young trailblazers while honouring the country's rich cultural tapestry and legacy of resilience, unity and excellence.
It is being presented in partnership with the Joburg Theatre.
Among those performing will be acclaimed guitarist, composer and author Billy Monama, the mastermind curating a musical journey that spans 4.5 hours and generations.
And if that's not enough to get you amped, this year's show features a 20-piece orchestra arranged and conducted by Grammy Award-winning producer Joe Arthur. Expect a soundscape that blends the soul of the past with the rhythm of the now.
