During Crunchyroll's industry panel at Anime Expo 2025, they unveiled a teaser of Black Clover season 2, which picks up where the previous season left It will exclusively premiere on Crunchyroll. Studio Pierrot, the Japanese anime studio behind famous series like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, will continue its adaptation of the Shonen Jump manga. Based on the manga written by Yuki Tabata, the anime debuted in 2015 and concluded with a finale in 2021. The fantasy series is set in a world where everyone is born with magic powers. The series follows Asta, a young orphan boy with no magical powers, who finds himself in a life-altering moment when he is gifted a mysterious black grimoire that grants him the power to use anti-magic abilities. With these newfound powers, Asta leaves his home and travels to the Clover Kingdom, where he joins the Black Bulls guild to train his powers. Speaking about the new season, Yuki Tabata, the writer and artist of this widely popular manga, said, 'The production of the long-awaited new anime season of Black Clover has been confirmed! Crunchyroll announced new Black Clover details at their annual Industry Panel for Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, including other first looks and anticipated titles. President of the prestigious animation studio Bones Film, Masahiko Minami, arrived on stage to officially confirm that Daemons of the Shadow Realm will be produced into an anime. Other major updates included anime such as Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, among others. ‘Black Clover' new season announced after hiatus at Anime Expo 2025
A new season of the Black Clover anime has been officially announced during Crunchyroll's industry panel at Anime Expo 2025. 'Black Clover' continuation reportedly in the works
"Black Clover" is reportedly coming back with new episodes after four years! According to reports published on Comicbook and Screen Rant, the sequel was spotted in a new listing from Shueisha. Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine also earlier teased "exciting information" about the anime. "Black Clover" ended its first run in 2021, but the story did not cover all arcs in the manga. Based on the world created by Yuki Tabata, "Black Clover" follows Asta, a boy with anti-magic powers, in his journey to become the Wizard King.
