Man dies after car crashes into 2 parked vehicles in Johor
The accident occurred when the victim lost control of his car, then hit a car and a van parked in front of a house, according to police. (JBPM pic) PETALING JAYA : A man died after the car he was driving crashed into two vehicles that were parked along Jalan Teratai, Felda Bukit Aping Barat, in Johor last night. Kota Tinggi district police chief Yusof Othman said police were informed about the accident at around 10.25pm, Sinar Harian reported. He said preliminary investigations found the accident had occurred when the victim lost control of his car, before crashing into a car and a van parked in front of a house. 'The 46-year-old man sustained serious internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,' Yusof was quoted as saying. He said the victim's body was sent to Kota Tinggi Hospital's forensic unit for a post-mortem. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

Driver suffers heart attack, dies from crash in Kota Tinggi
KOTA TINGGI: A 46-year-old man died after suffering a heart attack while driving, causing him to ram into two stationary vehicles in a residential area here. Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Yusof Othman said police received a report about the incident at Jalan Teratai, Felda Bukit Aping Barat at around 10.22pm on Saturday (June 28). "The incident involved three vehicles, including a van. "The victim is believed to have suffered from a heart attack before losing control of his car. 'He then crashed into two vehicles that were parked in front of a house", he said in a statement on Sunday. He said that the impact of the collision caused the male driver to sustain severe internal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He said the victim's body was taken to the forensic unit of Kota Tinggi Hospital for further examination and post-mortem procedure. 'Post-mortem results have confirmed that the victim had suffered a heart attack," Supt Yusof said. He added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Man dies in collision with parked cars
KOTA TINGGI: A man died when the Proton Saga he was driving crashed into two other vehicles, which were parked on Jalan Teratai, Felda Bukit Aping Barat, last night. The 46-year-old victim, Sazali Mohd Razak, was confirmed dead at the scene due to severe body injuries. Kota Tinggi District Police Chief Superintendent Yusof Othman said information regarding the accident was received from the public at 10.25pm. He said preliminary investigations found that the accident was believed to have occurred when the victim lost control of his car and collided with two vehicles, a Proton Wira and a Toyota Hiace, which were parked in front of a house. "As a result of the collision, the 46-year-old Proton Saga driver sustained severe internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene," he said in a statement yesterday. Yusof added that the victim's body was sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital Forensic Unit. "The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Two die in five-vehicle crash in Kota Tinggi
KOTA TINGGI: Two friends lost their lives in a five-vehicle crash, believed to have been caused by a car that veered out of control along Jalan Sungai Rengit - Kota Tinggi. Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Yusof Othman said the incident occurred at KM66 around 4.10pm on Friday (June 28). "Initial investigations found that a 26-year-old male driver lost control of his car, which then crashed into three vehicles travelling in the opposite direction. "The impact of the collision caused another car, driven by a 68-year-old man, to lose control before ramming into a lorry," he said in a statement. Supt Yusof added that the man and his 73-year-old passenger both suffered major head injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims' bodies were taken to the forensic unit of Kota Tinggi hospital for further examination and a post-mortem procedure. "Two other male drivers aged 26 and 27, also involved in the crash, were taken to the same hospital for medical treatment," he added. Meanwhile, a 49-year-old lorry driver and a 30-year-old female driver were detained by police to assist with the investigation. He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. "The public is advised to always stay alert and obey traffic laws and regulations to ensure everyone's safety on the road," he said. Earlier, the Kota Tinggi fire and rescue department reported that a five-vehicle collision near Felda Pasak resulted in the deaths of two elderly men, while nine others, including a baby, survived. Kota Tinggi Fire and Rescue chief Mohd Shawaluddin Ami Nordin said a total of eleven victims were involved in the incident. He added that the two deceased have been identified as Thai Toon, aged 68, and Lor Ah Kwee, aged 73, were travelling in one of the cars and were found trapped in the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Malaysia's Johor Police Probe Singapore-Registered Car for Driving Against Traffic on Expressway
Malaysia Police are looking into an incident involving a Singapore-registered vehicle driving against traffic on the Senai-Desaru Expressway at 55 kilometers per hour. In a statement issued on Sunday, June 22, Kota Tinggi police head Superintendent Yusof Othman said that the event took place about 11.31 am on Saturday, June 21. A 12-second video of the event, shared to Community Roda Johor's Facebook page, showed the white car going in the wrong lane. The car registered in Singapore apparently did not stop to allow the car to pass, even though it slowed down a little when it was approached by the vehicle recording the dashcam footage. Yusof said that the driver of the vehicle was "endangering other road users" and that the case was being looked into for reckless and dangerous driving in accordance with Malaysia's Road Transport Act 1987. He asked the public to help with investigations by calling 017-479 3329 and contacting Traffic Enforcement Officer Inspector Amirul Mustakim Mustaza with any information regarding the incident. "The police advises all road users always to stay vigilant and obey traffic laws for the safety of everyone," he added, as quoted by AsiaOne.
