If you saw "Superman" opening weekend, then you no doubt noticed all the collectible popcorn buckets on sale. Well, it turns out big action blockbusters aren't the only movies that can get their own collectible popcorn buckets.
Regal Cinemas has revealed their bucket for the upcoming reboot of "The Naked Gun" and it references one of the classic gags from the original 1988 film. Here's a hint: it involves a stuffed beaver. You can see the bucket below.

As you can see in the photo above, the collectible bucket is in the shape of a beaver with a compartment in the back that opens to hold popcorn. The smiling critter is leaning on a log that says "Nice Beaver."

Fans of 1988's "The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!" may remember the joke the bucket is referencing.
Shortly after first meeting Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen), Jane Spencer (Priscilla Presley) climbs a ladder. Drebin waits at the bottom, appearing to look up her skirt. He comments, "nice beaver." She replies, "Thank you, I just had it stuffed," and passes down an actual stuffed beaver.
It's indicative of the goofy humor you can expect from any of the early "Naked Gun" films. From what we've seen from trailers and TV spots of the "Naked Gun" reboot, we can expect the same kind of gags and puns.
Instead of Nielsen and Presley, "The Naked Gun" reboot features a romance between Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. Neeson plays Frank Drebin, Jr., the son of the character Nielsen played in the original films.
Anderson said she loved working with Neeson and hopes they get to work together again on sequels to the reboot.
"We had many dinners out with the cast," Anderson recalled. "I invited him and his assistant over for romantic dinners with me and my assistant so our relationship stayed 'professionally romantic' during filming."
"The Naked Gun" hits theaters on August 1. The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer from a script by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Mand. "The Naked Gun" stars Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, Danny Huston, Liza Koshy, Cody Runnels and CCH Pounder.
