Samsung Z Fold 7: Which Color Will YOU Choose?
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has officially launched, offering a seamless blend of advanced technology and refined design while maintaining the same $1,900 starting price as its predecessor, the Z Fold 6. With notable improvements in display, performance, and usability, this foldable smartphone continues to stand out as a leader in the premium device market. By addressing user feedback and enhancing key features, Samsung has ensured the Galaxy Z Fold 7 remains a top choice for those seeking innovative technology. The video below from sakitech gives us more details about the upcoming handset. Watch this video on YouTube. Design and Display: Bigger, Better, and More Functional The Galaxy Z Fold 7 introduces a larger and wider outer display, significantly improving its practicality for everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing, and quick interactions when the device is folded. This enhancement addresses a common concern among users, making the outer screen more functional and user-friendly. When unfolded, the inner display now features a punch-hole selfie camera, replacing the under-display camera from the Z Fold 6. This change not only enhances image quality for selfies and video calls but also preserves the immersive viewing experience that users expect from a foldable device. The device is available in three matte finish colors—Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow—each designed to provide a sleek, modern aesthetic while resisting fingerprint smudges. This ensures the phone maintains its premium look over time, even with regular use. For those seeking a more personalized touch, Samsung may offer exclusive color options through its website, catering to users who value customization and individuality. Performance Enhancements: Speed and Efficiency Redefined The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is powered by an upgraded processor, delivering faster performance and improved energy efficiency. These enhancements result in smoother multitasking, quicker app launches, and a more responsive experience across various activities, whether you're working, gaming, or streaming. The improved processor ensures that the device can handle demanding tasks with ease, making it a reliable companion for both productivity and entertainment. The camera system has also seen significant upgrades, with sharper images, better low-light performance, and overall improved photography capabilities. The addition of the punch-hole selfie camera further improves the device's imaging quality, making it ideal for capturing moments or engaging in high-quality video calls. Despite these advancements, the Z Fold 7 features a thinner and more refined design, enhancing its portability and making it easier to handle compared to its predecessor. Pricing and Storage Options: Premium Features, Same Price Samsung has retained the $1,900 starting price of the Z Fold 6, making the Z Fold 7 an attractive option for those seeking innovative features without an increased cost. This pricing strategy underscores Samsung's commitment to delivering value while maintaining its position as a leader in the foldable smartphone market. The device is available in three storage options—256GB, 512GB, and 1TB—providing flexibility to match your storage needs and budget. Whether you require ample space for apps, photos, and videos or prefer a more modest storage option, the Z Fold 7 offers a solution for every user. For those exploring alternatives, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is available at a lower starting price of $1,000. While it offers a different take on foldable design with its compact clamshell form factor, it provides another option for users interested in Samsung's innovative foldable lineup. Exclusive Features and Enhanced Personalization Samsung continues to differentiate its foldable devices with exclusive features and customization options. The standard color palette of Blue Shadow, Jet Black, and Silver Shadow is already appealing, but potential exclusive colors available through Samsung's website add an extra layer of personalization for discerning buyers. This focus on customization ensures that users can select a device that reflects their unique style and preferences. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 represents a thoughtful evolution in foldable technology. By combining a larger display, enhanced performance, and a refined design with consistent pricing, Samsung reinforces its leadership in the foldable smartphone market. Whether you're upgrading from an earlier model or exploring foldable devices for the first time, the Z Fold 7 delivers a compelling mix of innovation, functionality, and value. Its ability to balance innovative features with user-friendly design makes it a standout choice for anyone seeking a premium smartphone experience. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks stunningly slim in new leaked photo vs. Fold 6
We're likely to see the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 at next month's Samsung's Summer Unpacked event, and there's not much that hasn't already been leaked. But now we've got our first glimpse of Samsung's next-gen foldable alongside its predecessor to see how its rumored upgrades stack up — and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks like a brick by comparison. This week, Korean YouTube channel TheSINZA shared a hands-on video comparing a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 dummy unit alongside last year's Z Fold 6 as well as the Z Fold SE, which was released exclusively in China and Korea. With competitors like the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and Motorola Razr 2024, the race is heating up for the best foldable phone crown. And it's clear Samsung has taken notice. The video confirms what these week's leaked Galaxy Z Fold 7 renders hinted at already: That Samsung's fixing two of the foldable's biggest problems with this upcoming generation. First up, its profile. In the video, the Z Fold 7 is noticeably slimmer and has a larger screen than the Z Fold 6. It measures at just 4.5mm thick when unfolded, compared to its predecessor's 5.6mm. For perspective, the Galaxy S25 Edge clocks in at 5.8mm, and its thin profile is its biggest selling point that distinguishes it from Samsung's flagships like the Galaxy S25. When folded, the Fold 7 measures at 9 mm, compared to the 12.1 mm of the Fold 6. But beyond the slimmer chassis, what catches your eye the most is the jump in screen size, with the Z Fold 7 upgrading to an 8.2-inch main display, up from the Z Fold 6's 7.6-inch display. The bigger display makes the Z Fold 7 look closer to something like the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra than its predecessor. The dummy unit also confirms that Samsung plans to ditch the Z Fold 6's under-display camera, which has been standard since the Galaxy Z Fold 3, for a punch-hole camera on the Z Fold 7's inner display. As impressive a technological feat tucking a camera under the display is, it often comes at the cost of image quality, as the camera has to capture photos through layers of the screen. Switching back to a punch-hole camera in the main display shouldn't affect usability, but it could significantly improve the camera's practicality for selfies and video calls. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Will these upgrades be enough to propel Samsung back to the top of our best foldable phones guide? We'll hold off on final judgments until the details are confirmed and we've had some hands-on time with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. We shouldn't have long to wait. While Samsung hasn't revealed a launch date yet, it looks like the Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8 could arrive on July 9 at a new Galaxy Unpacked showcase.

Galaxy Z Fold 7 renders leak — and it looks like Samsung's fixed two big problems
Our best look yet at the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has just been provided by Android Headlines and OnLeaks, who have published allegedly official renders of Samsung's next big foldable phone. One of the most interesting changes visible in these renders is a punch-hole camera on the inner display. The last time Samsung had one of these on a Z Fold's main screen was the Galaxy Z Fold 2, with every subsequent Z Fold, including the current Galaxy Z Fold 6 using an under-display camera. Having a hidden camera in the display is quite the technological feat. But it usually means a drop in image quality from that camera having to shoot through layers of the display. With Samsung using only a tiny 4MP sensor, this problem was made even worse. A move back to a punch-hole in the main display should not impact its usability, but will hopefully make the camera more useful for selfies or video calls again. The renders also seem to demonstrate the changes Samsung is tipped to be making to the Galaxy Z Fold 7's body. The new foldable is said to be slimmer and lighter but also wider than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, giving the phone more screen space while also making it easier to handle. As a result, the outer display is apparently going to be 6.5 inches in size, compared to the 6.3-inch one on the Z Fold 6. The Z Fold 7's inner display meanwhile is thought to be 8.2 inches, another increase in size from the Z Fold 6's 7.6-inch panel. The two colors we see in these renders are apparently called Blue Shadow and Jet Black. Other colors will be available according to AH, although it doesn't provide any further information. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Samsung's been unusually open about its plans for the Galaxy Z Fold 7. While it hasn't identified the device by name, it has published a number of teasers hinting at an Ultra-grade experience for its next foldable. Samsung hasn't given us a launch date yet, but it looks like the Z Fold 7, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8 could arrive on July 9 at a new Galaxy Unpacked showcase. If the upgrades seemingly on show in these renders are indeed made to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it could be enough to put Samsung back on top of our best foldable phones guide after years of stagnation. But we'll save our proper impressions for when the facts are confirmed, and after we've had hands-on time with the new foldable.

Massive Samsung leak tips Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 features — here's what we could see at Unpacked
Samsung's next foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, are likely to launch in the next month. With that leaks and rumors are still popping up sharing new claims about what we can expect from the Korean tech giant. While it's not specifically a list of specs, regular tipster PandaFlashPro posted on X a number of features that Samsung might showcase during the expect July Galaxy Unpacked event. Read on for five things Samsung could highlight next month from an improved camera to better AI. Apparently, Samsung is going to spend a good chunk of the next Unpacked discussing Google's Gemini AI model and how it integrates with the Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. One of the highlights could be "Gemini Live," which lets you speak with the chatbot. You can also use your camera to "see" things or images and files as prompts for Gemini. Gemini and Gemini Live already exist for Pixel phones and in some manner on the Galaxy S25 series. It's possibly we could see new Gemini tools built-in to Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. If nothing new is announced than we expect Samsung will likely pitch how well Gemini Live should work on its foldable phones. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Additionally, the leaker claims Samsung will highlight Galaxy AI generative edits and Now Brief, introduced in One UI 7 that sends you personalized notifications throughout the day. According to PandaFlash, Samsung won't be sharing too much about the camera set up on the new phones. However, they do note that there will be a 200MP main camera that Samsung should highlight. This does align with previous rumors that the Z Fold 7 will get the same 200MP lens as the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. That's a major upgrade over the 50MP camera in the Z Fold 6. Alongside a new camera, Samsung will apparently discuss a next generation Pro-Visual engine and "log video." It's not clear if this is an update to the suite of AI tools that enables things like zooms at night and making sharper images. Samsung has highlighted how much thinner and lighter its phones are this year and the foldables will not be an exception. The company should also discuss the "all-new" ultra-thin glass used in the display. Earlier this month, Samsung promised, "the thinnest, lightest and most advanced foldable yet." Like the Z Fold 6 compared to its predecessor, the Z Fold 7 should come with a larger 8-inch foldable display, plus a 6.5-inch cover screen. That would be the second year in a row that the company has increased the size of the foldable. Late last week, regular Samsung leaker Ice Universe posted on Weibo that the Z Fold 7 will weigh 215 grams (or about 7.5 oz) which is about 3 grams less than Galaxy S25 Ultra (or one ounce less). That weight should be more noticeable compared to the Z Fold 6, which weighs 8.4 oz (239 grams). There are different rumors about the actual thinness of the Z Fold 7 with some claiming it will be 4.5mm when unfolded. However, different reports suggest the phone will be even slimmer at 3.9mm. According to PandaFlash, don't expect much from Samsung regarding the clamshell foldable Z Flip 7. They said that the Samsung will only mention improved photo quality, a larger cover display and new cases. We've seen rumors that the Flip 7 could have the same cameras as those in the Z Flip 6. So any improvements will likely come from the upgraded ProVisual engine and other software updates. We have seen rumors that the main screen will increase slightly in size with the cover display leaping from 3.4 inches to 4 inches. Which would fit with new cases being announced to properly cover the larger phone. Last week, a rumor popped up that Samsung would show Project Moohan at the next Galaxy Unpacked, but not launch the XR headset. Since revealing the Android XR based headset in January, Samsung has repeatedly shown off Moohan at various other tech conferences this year. So, it's no real surprise that Samsung would have Moohan at its own event. The difference, we're hoping, is that the company finally shares more concrete details about the device. While we've gone heads-on, Samsung has been pretty mum on new details. We don't have a date yet, but all signs point to Samsung keeping its usual July launch window for its foldable phones.
