A TikToker, Kashif Zameer, has been taken into custody for brandishing firearms in videos and glorifying the gangster culture. According to police sources, the arrest was made on the orders of Additional IG Sohail Zafar Chattha of the Crime Control Department (CCD). Officials alleged that the suspect was also contributing to Pakistan's negative image internationally. A team seized firearms from his possession and registered two FIRs against him at the CCD police station. Zameer had previously made headlines for various legal troubles, including fraud and public misbehavior. Police say investigations against the suspect are under way and his accomplices would also face legal proceedings. According to an FIR registered at the CCD III police station, a police team had received an information about the presence of suspects sitting in a car. As the team approached to check them, they offered resistance and tried to flee. The police followed and intercepted them and upon checking found the suspects carrying automatic rifles and a handgun. Telangana factory blast: Most migrant workers from Bihar & Odisha; families say we're left alone in tragedy

HYDERABAD: Many workers from Bihar and Odisha were among those affected by Monday's explosion at Sigachi Industries in the Pashamylaram Industrial Area. Several of them shared stories of how many from their village came to Hyderabad in search of work. Mohd Zameer Alam, from Bihar's Bhojpur district, recalled how he had helped his uncle Tasabuddin from his village secure a job at Sigachi earlier this year. Tasabuddin is now missing, and Zameer distraught. "About 50-60 people from my village are working here, with about four to five in Sigachi. We worked in three shifts. The first shift included my mother-in-law, Ruksana Kathoon, who was identified as one of the deceased," Zameer said. "But after such a hard journey, we are left alone in times of tragedy like this, with no support," he said, while waiting to receive Ruksana Kathoon's body and searching for Tasabuddin at the hospital mortuary. Debashish Sahu brought his relative Lagnajith Duari (22) from Cuttack in Odisha earlier this year to work as a machine cutting operator. Lagnajith has been confirmed dead in the incident. Just like Zameer, Sahu said many people from his district as well as from neighbouring ones have moved to Hyderabad to find jobs in factories. "There are no such jobs in our district," said Sahu. "People hear about places like these through word of mouth. Even though parents are afraid to send their children so far, they are forced to do so because they don't have any other choice." Bengaluru Assault: Man Alleges Attack Over Refusal To Chant 'Jai Shri Ram'

The assault left Wasim with serious injuries, including potential internal injuries and hearing loss in his right ear A disturbing assault case has emerged from Hegde Nagar in Bengaluru, where two men were allegedly attacked by a group of unidentified individuals on June 22, with claims that they were targeted for refusing to chant 'Jai Shri Ram." However, police investigations so far suggested that the exact trigger for the attack is still unclear, and the slogan angle has not been confirmed yet, claimed several media reports. According to the complainants, Zameer, a mechanic, and Wasim Ahmed, an autorickshaw driver, the incident took place between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm near a vacant plot close to the AJBJ grounds in Hegde Nagar, under the Sampigehalli police station limits. Zameer told the police that he had stopped to relieve himself when a group of six to eight men, allegedly intoxicated, confronted them, questioned their presence, hurled abuses, and assaulted them. Zameer managed to escape, but the group allegedly attacked Wasim with sticks. In a video that has since circulated on social media, Wasim Ahmed claims the assailants tried to force him to chant 'Jai Shri Ram" and assaulted him when he refused. He further alleged that when he screamed 'Allah" in pain, the attackers escalated their aggression, demanding that he chant the religious slogan. The assault left Wasim with serious injuries, including potential internal injuries and hearing loss in his right ear, according to a medico-legal case filed at Yelahanka General Hospital. However, the police have indicated that their preliminary investigation has not found evidence directly supporting the claim that the attack was linked to forcing religious slogans. As per an Indian Express report, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sajeeth V J said: 'The complaint doesn't mention anything about forcing slogans. We are verifying again, but preliminarily, this claim hasn't been corroborated in the complaint." Statements from two to three witnesses, including a local watchman, reportedly did not support the allegation regarding the slogan. Despite this, Wasim continues to stand by his statement, insisting that the attack was indeed motivated by his refusal to chant 'Jai Shri Ram." An FIR has been registered, and the police are actively working to identify and apprehend the accused as the investigation continues. First Published:
