Jesy Nelson warns of key symptoms of rare pregnancy complications in first interview after twins' birth
Jesy Nelson has detailed the symptoms of the rare pregnancy complications she experienced before giving birth to her twins. The former Little Mix star and her partner Zion Foster welcomed Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster in May at 31 weeks and five days. She underwent a procedure for pre-twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, or TTTS, a condition that results in an unbalanced blood flow from one twin to another. The rare condition is thought to impact between 10 and 15 per cent of identical twins who share a placenta, and can be fatal without intervention.

Watch heartwarming moment Jesy Nelson's partner Zion dances with tiny daughter after coming home with their baby twins
JESY Nelson's partner Zion Foster danced with their newborn tiny daughter in a heartwarming moment. Former Little Mix star Jesy, 34, welcomed twin girls with boyfriend Zion following a high-risk pregnancy. 4 4 4 The newborns are named Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, respectively. Taking to Instagram, Jesy shared a poignant video of Zion dancing with one of the girls. With music playing in the background, Zion wiggled the baby's hands and feet while singing to her. He also addressed the other twin, saying: "You wanna do some dancing too?" Last week, Jesy confirmed the baby girls were finally home - after a long hospital stint. She penned on Instagram: "My babies made it home for my birthday." One fan responded: "I knew they would make it home to be with you, precious miracle girls they did it for you. "They love you so much and wanted to be with mummy on her special day. Happy birthday angel!" While another shared: "So happy you guys are all home together." During her pregnancy, Jesy was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). Jesy Nelson gives birth to twins two months early after emergency procedure to save their lives TTTS is a rare but serious condition in which blood flows unevenly between identical twins sharing a placenta - putting both babies at risk. The diagnosis took Jesy and Zion by surprise and they revealed they had no idea what TTTS was before the diagnosis. Jesy has already had a successful operation, though didn't specify the type of procedure, and has been keeping herself busy with a self-care and beauty regime. Meanwhile Zion ran the London marathon with less than five weeks training, in order to raise money for the charity Twins Trust in honour of their little ones. What are the different types of twins? TWINS are when two children are produced in the same pregnancy. They can be identical or different, and two boys, two girls, or a girl and a boy. Twins are quite rare, but are usually born completely healthy What are the different types of twins? Monozygotic – identical twins ('one cell' twins) Dizygotic – also known as 'fraternal', non identical twins. Babies are no more alike than siblings born at separate times, and they can be the same or different sexes Conjoined twins – identical twins that are joined together. They are extremely rare, and it's estimated they range from one in 49,000 to 189,000 births, although around half are stillborn, and one third die within 24 hours. Can identical twins be two different sexes? Identical twins are always of the same sex because they form from the same fertilised egg that contains either female or male chromosomes. The single egg is divided into two separate embryos, and they occur in about three in every 1000 deliveries worldwide. Therefore, boy/girl twins are always fraternal (or dizygotic), as their chromosomes are either XY (male) or XX (female). What are Di Di twins? Di Di stands for Dichronic Diamniotic, and they are the common type of twins. They have their own amniotic sacs and placenta, so are just sharing the womb of the mother, and are therefore not identical. There are few complications with Di Di twins, so have a good chance of being born completely healthy without intervention from your doctor. Di di twins are more likely to be non-identical than identical. As he completed the 26.2mile mission, Jesy watched from her room and declared in a sweet post: 'I honestly didn't think I could love you any more than I already do @zionfoster but you have made me and our babies the proudest!!!! 'You had under 4 weeks to train for the London Marathon and you have worked your absolute bum off to be able to cross that finish line today whilst raising money for an amazing cause @twinstrust and for our babies.' She added: 'Words will never be enough to let you know how proud I am of you. 'The most amazing human and daddy — we love you baby. You smashed the London Marathon!!!!' 4

Jesy Nelson shares sweet insight into her life as a new mum as she posts snaps with newborn twins after finally coming home from hospital
Jesy Nelson has shared a sweet insight into her life as a new mum as she posted adorable pictures with her newborn twins on Friday. The former Little Mix singer, 34, and rapper Zion Foster, 26, welcomed their first children, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, in May after suffering months of complications. And appearing every inch the doting mother, the star looks to have settled into motherhood well as she posted an array of family pictures to Instagram. In one snap, Jesy can be seen cuddling one of her babies as they slept on her chest. Zion also appeared to enjoy fatherhood as he was seen entertaining the little ones with a fun dance. Another snap saw one of the newborn resting in a singular hand while wrapped up in a white baby grow. Alongside the snaps, Jesy penned: 'Have never ever felt more lucky and blessed in my whole entire life.' Her updates comes days after she revealed she is finally home with her newborn twins after three months in hospital. Jesy took to social media to share the major update with her fans. She simply wrote: 'My babies made it home for my birthday.' Fans were left delighted by the milestone, and flooded Jesy with compliments and well wishes. Ocean Jade and Story Monroe were born at just 31 weeks old, after Jesy was diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) - a rare condition that can put one or both babies at risk. Before being released from hospital the twins had been receiving treatment in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Jesy recently opened up about their premature births, telling fans: 'Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU. 'It's the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies. 'Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can't because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them and tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them it breaks your heart into a million pieces. 'Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. The strongest little girls I've ever known who really do have the most inspiring story to tell'. In March, Jesy had to undergo an emergency procedure after suffering complications and was advised to remain in hospital until she was at least 32 weeks into her pregnancy. Throughout the ordeal, her partner Zion admitted he and Jesy, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her procedure, had ' grown to understand each other on a deeper level '. He told OK!: 'I think it's at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means. 'And I think for me and Jess, this has just taken it to a whole other level of us knowing we are literally made for each other.' He said the couple had also tried to make the hospital as much of a home as possible. 'There's a couch that turns into a bed that we pushed next to the hospital bed, so we've made our own double bed. 'And it's like we've moved in. The nurses just said, "Oh, my God. It looks so nice in here. It looks so homely".' Jesy announced she was expecting twins with her boyfriend Zion back in January after rumours they had split. Originally from South London, Zion was born and raised in a Nigerian household by his mother and grew up listening to Gospel music. It was his football coach who then introduced the star to rap influences as he began listening to Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Usher. Zion then decided to pursue music as he began recording his own music and sharing it online via SoundCloud.

Jesy Nelson Finally Brings Twin Babies Home After Long Hospital Stay, Just in Time for Her 34th Birthday
Jesy Nelson and her twin girls have finally made it home, just in time for her 34th birthday, after she and the babies collectively spent three months in the hospital "My babies made it home for my birthday 🥹🤍," Nelson wrote on Instagram, alongside a black-and-white photo of herself gazing at her daughters The Little Mix alum and boyfriend Zion Foster welcomed their twins, Ocean and Story, on May 15, weeks after Nelson was admitted to the hospital in March due to her high-risk pregnancyJesy Nelson and her baby girls have finally made it home! On Saturday, June 14, the Little Mix alum shared in an Instagram post that she and the twin daughters she shares with boyfriend Zion Foster — named Ocean and Story — were discharged from the hospital, just in time for Nelson's 34th birthday. "My babies made it home for my birthday 🥹🤍," Nelson wrote, alongside a black-and-white photo of herself gazing at her daughters. View this post on Instagram A post shared by @jesynelson The news came after Nelson spent months in the hospital during her pregnancy after her doctors discovered the twins were monochorionic diamniotic (MCDA), meaning they shared a single placenta. The baby girls were eventually born at 31 weeks on May 15, the singer previously announced, and had been in the hospital since then. Nelson first revealed her pregnancy on Instagram on Jan. 12, sharing a Polaroid-style photo of herself and her musician boyfriend with the caption: "She's eating for 3 now 👶👶." Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Months later, in March, Nelson spoke about the twins' medical condition, explaining in an emotional video at the time that "one baby might take all the nutrients" from the placenta, or "the other might, which — really awful to say — could lead to both babies dying." A few days later, Nelson shared an update in which she revealed she was experiencing symptoms that doctors had advised her to "watch out for," including her stomach tightening and difficulty breathing. She captioned the video "TTTS update," referring to twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. After a checkup at the hospital, Nelson said doctors determined that "they have to perform [a] procedure" to fix the twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome — "which is obviously not what we wanted to happen." She added, "But it's necessary because it's going to give our babies the best chance of surviving." In April, Nelson shared an update on her emergency procedure on her Instagram Stories, filmed from her hospital room. "We just wanted to come on here because we are another week further along and we feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong," she said at the time. The "Boyz" singer finally revealed in a May 18 Instagram post that she had welcomed her twins. "So … Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days," she and Foster wrote in the caption of the joint post. "It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We've never felt more in love 🥹." "Everybody, meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025 🌊📖," the proud parents added. Nelson has shared a few updates since then, including another lengthy Instagram post in which she opened up about what it was like to watch her children stay in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for weeks on end. "Nothing or no one will ever be able to prepare you as a parent for NICU," she wrote in part on May 25. "It's the most scary overwhelming feeling of emotions not being able to feel like you can protect your babies." "But slowly as the days go by and they get stronger and wires start to come away, moments like this feel like a dream," she continued. "Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe 🥹 the strongest little girls I've ever known who really do have the most inspiring story to tell 🤍."
