Man pays £10 for Nike trainers at charity shop but is bowled over by true worth

A man called Sammy recently snapped up some Nike trainers for only £10 at a local charity shop, but he was completely bowled over when he discovered their real worth A man who paid £10 for a pair of Nike trainers in a local charity shop was bowled over to discover their true worth. Sammy, known as Sammy R Resells on TikTok, said he uncovered an "absolutely insane find" at a local charity shop recently, and he can't get over just what he managed to bag. The content creator, who calls himself a "full-time reseller" on social media, opened up about the charity shop gem in a video, and people can't believe just how lucky he got. He said he's set to make a "big profit" on the find thanks to how much the trainers are worth. ‌ In the clip, he said: "I found these trainers in a charity shop for a tenner. Now, if you don't know what these are, these are the Nike X Stüssy, I think they're called Cage 2 Fossil trainers. ‌ "These were £10, and these sell for about £260. They're really weird - they look like a really woven material. They look like they're all like knitted, but they're so cool. "They are a small women's size - they are size 3, and they have a small mark there, but we're going to try and get that stain out. And, yeah, £10 into a possible £260." ‌ He then went on to look at some comparison prices on eBay and discovered that they sell for up to £260 when resold in the UK. Sammy admitted he may get a bit less for not having the box but, none the less, he's still set to make quite a chunk of money from selling them. Sammy confessed he was super happy with the "insane" find, and couldn't believe how lucky he got. When you look at how much the trainers are worth, it's easy to see why he was so thrilled. According to online guidance, the trainers can sell for anything from between £293.00 to £1,618.00. They can sometimes be worth hundreds, especially if they're new or practically new. ‌ One thrilled fashion fan replied: "Would buy them if they were my size." Another wrote: "Unreal find." A third replied: "Insane find there mate." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "They look pretty neat." It looks like there may be a few different versions of the trainers available. Talking about one version, the Nike website states: "First released in 2003, the Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 is as relevant today as it was back then. "Its OG design gets a refresh with the Nike x Stüssy Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2. It features a look inspired by the tribe of relationships that unite to support a movement. "A caged Zoom Air unit in the heel provides a responsive ride and a modern, technical look. The full-length foam midsole is lightweight and flexible, and durable rubber pods on the outsole provide traction where you need it." Sometimes you can snap up absolute bargains at charity shops, and Sammy's latest find proves it. One person's junk appears to be another person's treasure.

Jordan Brand Officially Reveals Luka Doncic's Next Signature Sneaker — and a New Takedown Model

Luka Doncic used the occasion of his first game against the Dallas Mavericks to wear his next signature sneaker for the first time, and now Jordan Brand is ready to talk about it — along with a new takedown model. The Jordan Luka 4 will launch in April alongside Doncic's first takedown model, the Jordan .77, which will be available for $20 cheaper. More from Footwear News Sneaker Fans of All Ages Came Out for a Chance to Get Nigel Sylvester's New Air Jordans Michael Jordan's Precise Air Jordan 1 Recreation Has Emerged in Another Colorway - but Will It Actually Release? As the more advanced of the two sneakers, the Luka 4 is the first in the series to make use of a Zoom Air unit. It works in conjunction with a Cushlon 3.0 midsole. A visibly reshaped IsoPlate sees the technology made specifically for Doncic refined as it uses stability and torsional rigidity to keep the foot in place. Additional lockdown comes from the return of breathable Flightwire cables, used previously on the Luka 1 and making a return once again on the lateral side of the upper. The outsole then features a compass pattern with the letters in his first name replacing the letters for north, east, south and west as a nod to Luka's love of wristwatches. 'Space Navigate' and 'Gone Fishing,' two early colorways for the Luka 4, are then modeled after Slovenia's Lake Bled and Doncic's love for fishing, respectively. The former edition is the same one Doncic wore in his 'Revenge Game' with the lakers. 'The Luka 4 is made exactly for my game, giving me a new tool to help me play my best and push my performance,' Doncic said in a press release. 'The IsoPlate really helps me with my balance and my step-backs, the Zoom Air unit adds a new level of responsiveness, and the Cushlon 3.0 midsole makes this a very comfortable shoe.' An IsoPlate and Zoom Air unit carry over to the Luka .77, Doncic's first takedown model, which uses a dual-density foam underfoot and seven strategic heel cutouts. High-abrasion mesh is intended for durability and ventilation, the latter of which could be especially useful when being worn away from the indoors. 'The Luka .77 is for the kids — and for anyone who hoops outdoors,' Doncic said. 'When I was young, I used to play mostly outside but didn't have footwear made for that environment, so I wanted to make a shoe for the next generation, giving them a tool to help them develop their game wherever they lace up.' The Jordan Luka 4 and Luka .77 will both release April 8 through Jordan Brand's website and select third-party retailers. Pricing for the former is set at $120 and the latter $100.
