Pakistani Defense Minister: Islamic countries threatened unless they unite today against Israel
Islamabad – Saba: Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif urged Islamic countries on Saturday to unite and collectively confront "Israel", warning that failure to act now would lead to dire consequences for the entire Islamic world. During a session of the Pakistani Parliament, Asif emphasized that "Iran is not alone in this aggression," noting that Israel has already targeted Yemen and Palestine as well. Asif warned that everyone's turn will come "unless the Islamic world unites today," calling on the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to hold an emergency meeting immediately and formulate a unified position against the Israeli aggression, according to al-Mayadeen channel website. He pointed out that the conflict between Iran and Israel has escalated dangerously after Israel launched strikes on Iranian military facilities, resulting in the martyrdom of senior Iranian commanders. Asif pointed out that Pakistan has strong historical and cultural ties with Iran, saying, "We stand with Iran in every ordeal. Their pain is our pain, and their grief is our grief." Asif emphasized Pakistan's long-standing policy of non-recognition of Israel, noting that his country has neither established diplomatic relations with Israel nor recognized Tel Aviv. He expressed regret over the largely silent Muslim world, despite the ongoing massacre of children in Palestine. Asif added, "In contrast, non-Muslims in the West are protesting Israel's actions. It is true that the conscience of the Western world is awakening, but the Muslim world remains steadfast." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Lebanese Hezbollah MP: Israeli strikes on Iran signal broader escalation
Shafaq News/ On Saturday, Lebanese lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah, a member of Hezbollah's Resistance bloc, described the latest Israeli strikes on Iranian targets as a clear act of aggression, emphasizing that Iran acts independently, defends its people, and responds decisively to threats. In remarks to al-Mayadeen, Fadlallah referred to Iran as a 'key regional power' that manages its own defense and strategic decisions without relying on outside actors, stressing that Tehran follows a consistent policy: it responds directly when confronted. He also addressed claims that regional groups operate as proxies, rejecting this narrative. According to Fadlallah, these movements are rooted in local resistance, not external command. 'There is no such thing as 'Iranian arms'—these are resistance movements,' he stressed. 'There are no agents or intermediaries. The adversary is trying to mislead public opinion.' His remarks came amid a sharp escalation in tensions following Israel's launch of Operation Rising Lion, a large-scale campaign targeting Iranian military infrastructure. In response, Tehran carried out retaliatory strikes under the banner of True Promise 3. Yesterday, Hezbollah released a statement, denouncing Israel's military actions. The group also warned that continued strikes on Iranian positions would intensify the conflict, further galvanizing resistance forces across the region.

Visual, Photographic Panorama tells dozens of stories through features of Syrian faces
Damascus - Saba: Since last Thursday, the Ashtar Gallery in Damascus has been hosting the "Faces of My Country" exhibition, which tells the human stories of Syrians who have lived as refugees since 2011. This is the second exhibition following a first in Paris in October 2024. The dual exhibition, co-hosted by Swiss-based visual artist Asaad Farzat and French-based photographer Sami Darwish, includes 13 paintings in a realistic expressionist style by Farzat and 23 photographic works by Darwish, creating a panorama that tells dozens of stories through the features of Syrian faces. The exhibition, which continues until April 9, was launched, according to al-Mayadeen, based on an idea by artist Darwish, who left Damascus in 2012, leaving behind more than 3,000 lost archive photographs. After arriving in France, he engaged in humanitarian work, trying to help refugees. He then decided to turn his passion for photography into a career, launching the "Faces of My Country" project, through which he seeks to document diverse human experiences and break down barriers between cultures. The exhibition embodies a shared artistic vision that combines sculpture and light, testament to art's ability to transcend geography and preserve memory. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
