To help everyone attend in style, uber-rich Bezos splurged a cool $9 million to reserve spots in the marina for anyone arriving by yacht , with another $6 million laid out to cover parking and security for private jets. It promises to be one hell of a party, with 200 of the couple's well-heeled friends waited on hand and foot. Why Smith & Wesson (SWBI) Stock Is Down Today

Shares of american firearms manufacturer Smith & Wesson (NASDAQ:SWBI) fell 19.1% in the afternoon session after the company reported disappointing first quarter 2025 (fiscal Q4) results as its revenue, EPS, and EBITDA fell short of Wall Street's estimates. Management noted the quarter was challenging, citing macro and industry trends, which negatively affected volume. They added further that consumers were being cautious with the purchase of firearms, though they noted improved performance in newer products and lower-priced products. Overall, this quarter could have been better, given the macro challenges. The stock market overreacts to news, and big price drops can present good opportunities to buy high-quality stocks. Is now the time to buy Smith & Wesson? Access our full analysis report here, it's free. Smith & Wesson's shares are not very volatile and have only had 9 moves greater than 5% over the last year. Moves this big are rare for Smith & Wesson and indicate this news significantly impacted the market's perception of the business. The biggest move we wrote about over the last year was 7 months ago when the stock dropped 20.5% on the news that the company reported disappointing third quarter results. Its revenue, EPS, and EBITDA fell short of Wall Street's estimates. Management attributed the shortfall to a normalization in firearm demand, largely driven by inflationary pressures. They also observed heightened consumer caution around discretionary spending, which was more pronounced in the second quarter than previously anticipated. Given the soft demand trends, the company lowered its sales outlook for the next quarter and the second half of the fiscal year. Overall, this quarter could have been better. Smith & Wesson is down 11.8% since the beginning of the year, and at $8.81 per share, it is trading 47.2% below its 52-week high of $16.69 from July 2024. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Smith & Wesson's shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $476.61. Unless you've been living under a rock, it should be obvious by now that generative AI is going to have a huge impact on how large corporations do business. While Nvidia and AMD are trading close to all-time highs, we prefer a lesser-known (but still profitable) semiconductor stock benefiting from the rise of AI. 20 Memes On 'X' That Sum Up Elon Musk-Donald Trump's Messy Public Breakup

Last Updated: Elon Musk-Donald Trump's bromance has reached a bitter, ugly end and people on 'X' have grabbed popcorn, excitedly watching the world burn. It's a great day for chronically online folks on the web. The richest man in the world is up against the leader of the free world. If you have just tuned in, Tesla chief Elon Musk is currently having a public (read: ugly) fallout with US President Donald Trump. Why? Trump has threatened to axe government contracts with Musk's companies, prompting Musk to call for Trump's impeachment. The RocketMan had famously rallied behind Trump in the months leading up to the Presidential elections in the US on November 5, 2024. But now, the bromance is dead. 'I'm very disappointed in Elon. I've helped Elon a lot," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office. 'Elon and I had a great relationship. I don't know if we will anymore." Then, Elon Musk exploded on 'X'. Exhibit 1: 'The Trump tariffs will cause a recession in the second half of this year." Exhibit 2: 'In light of the President's statement about cancellation of my government contracts, @SpaceX will begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft immediately." Exhibit 3: 'Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!" Were the good folks on 'X' silent spectators of Musk's meltdown down? Not really. They were ready like never before. Dropping everything they were doing, the public gathered on 'X' with their tickets and tubs of popcorn. #1 this is like kendrick vs drake but with two drakes— Fred Delicious 🍆 (@Fred_Delicious) June 5, 2025 #2 The funniest possible outcome is definitely Trump deporting him.— Franklin Leonard (@franklinleonard) June 5, 2025 #3 Broooos please noooooo 🫂 We love you both so much— ye (@kanyewest) June 5, 2025 #4 This is the day I knew the relationship wouldn't last. — Alex Cole (@acnewsitics) June 5, 2025 #5 Facebook is going to go crazy when they see these tweets next month— Trung Phan (@TrungTPhan) June 5, 2025 #6 Wait… is this the best meme ever made? — Seth Abramson (@SethAbramson) June 5, 2025 #7 today is the greatest day in american political history and I don't think it's even close— america's laziest lounge singer (@KrangTNelson) June 5, 2025 #8 Days like this only come around once every few years. Chipotle's shock restaurant expansion into new country is mocked by customers

Fans cannot stop mocking Chipotle's newest and 'pointless' business venture. The restaurant chain stirred up a social media frenzy after announcing April 21 that it had signed a new development agreement. The agreement, in partnership with the restaurant operator Alsea, will allow Chipotle to open its first restaurant in Mexico next year. 'We are confident that our responsibly sourced, classically-cooked real food will resonate with guests in Mexico,' said chief business development officer Nate Lawson. 'The country's familiarity with our ingredients and affinity for fresh food make it an attractive growth market for our company.' Despite the potential attraction, fans cannot stop comparing the business move to restaurateurs ' opening an Olive Garden in Italy.' Others have compared the opening to a ' Panda Express in Beijing,' and a Subway selling '"steak and cheese" in Philly.' Many X users who called the venture a 'joke' claimed the chain's food is more expensive than other options in Mexico. 'Chipotle is too sweet / not spicy / not enough meat on burritos by mexican standards, this works in America but won't go far in mexico, ask Italians how they feel about american pizza lol,' a fan wrote. 'This is pointless imo street tacos are everywhere in Mexico $1 for the most authentic taco you'll ever have or a $10 chipotle bowl…..,' another person claimed. Although social media appears unimpressed with the announcement, Alsea is thrilled over the partnership. 'We are proud to work with an iconic brand like Chipotle and help grow its international business for years to come,' said Alsea CEO Armando Torrado. 'Through this development agreement, we will continue to leverage our vast knowledge of the Mexican consumer and restaurant industry expertise to bring our customers the best food experiences and brands from around the world.' Chipotle has not shared what foods will be included in its upcoming Mexico store's menu. However, social media users are hoping the restaurant will have less 'American style' and more 'Mexican' options. Social media users mocked and slammed Chipotle for its decision to expand the chain to Mexico Chipotle made headlines in 2023 after signing its first international development agreement with the Alshaya Group. This deal allowed the chain to open restaurants in the Middle East. As of now, three restaurants in Kuwait and two in United Arab Emirates are open. Chipotle also operates locations in Canada, the UK, France, and Germany. The restaurant chain is in the process of opening between 315 and 345 eateries this year. The company has not announced where each store will open, but that it's long term goal is to open 7,000 restaurants in the US and Canada. The restaurant chain was one of many that hiked its prices following tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. It sources products from regional and local suppliers nationwide, but also receives them from other tariff recipients like Australia and China. The company had already been under fire for raising its menu prices, which affected its financial performance from October to December of last year. Chipotle's quarterly performance did not stop it from having 'another outstanding year,' after having racked in $11.3 billion in revenue last year. It also opened 119 company-owned restaurants, with 95 locations featuring a Chipotle and one being outside the US. Including these new locations, Chipotle operates more than 3,700 restaurants worldwide.
