Members of an angling club have been left "broken-hearted" after equipment was stolen from a container which was later set on and water pumps were among the thousands of pounds of items stolen and damaged at Kegworth Angling Club in Leicestershire. Swindon angling club members work to improve local lagoon

Members of an angling club have been working to improve Peatmoor Lagoon. Peatmoor Angling Group, which has been growing in strength, gathered on July 13, to install new fishing platforms, clear fallen trees, and cut back overgrown areas. Ted Rowe, the club's secretary, expressed pride in working alongside the group of volunteers who gave up their time and energy to improve the lagoon for the community. He also thanked GA Plant Hire and Aggregates for providing a machine, and Sean Enevoldsen, whose digger-driving skills kept things moving smoothly. A special mention was given to Brian Tuck for keeping everyone hydrated and protected from the sun. The club plans to continue its work to further improve the area.
