Harriet Dart wants to move on from storm over her comments towards Lois Boisson
Harriet Dart admits she was affected by the storm that followed her on-court comments towards Lois Boisson. What would have been a very low-key match at a minor tournament in Rouen in April became one of the most talked about of the year after Dart asked the umpire to tell Boisson to put on deodorant, saying: 'She smells really bad.' The unkind remarks quickly blew up on social media and, although Dart later issued a fulsome apology, they came to the fore again when Boisson went on an unexpected run to the semi-finals of her home grand slam at the French Open. A quick internet search shows that it is something that is likely to follow Dart around for a while, but the 28-year-old is hoping to put it behind her. 'I'd be lying if (I said) it didn't affect me a little bit,' said Dart ahead of a first-round Wimbledon match against Hungary's Dalma Galfi on Monday. 'I'm human but also we all make mistakes and I just tried to look forward. I've gone through some difficulties these weeks. I don't always share what I go through but I'm just looking forward and preparing the best I can. 'I've also played some really good players so it's been tough, I've had a change of coaching as well, so there's been a lot going on. 'I don't know why we're still talking about this, it's been months now. I feel like I answered a lot of the questions that were asked of me and that's it. I really just want to put it behind me.' It has been a tough year on the court for Dart, whose ranking has slipped outside the top 100. Since the Boisson incident, she has won only one of seven matches, but she hopes she has turned a corner after missing two match points against reigning Wimbledon champion Barbora Krejcikova in Eastbourne earlier this week. 'For me, my level is more important (than results),' said Dart, who needed a wild card to get into Wimbledon. 'Last week I had a really high-quality match. I didn't get quite over the line but I was much happier than the weeks previously, I'd not played very well at all. I'd competed hard but my tennis wasn't really there. If my level's good then results will come in time.' Away from the court, Dart revealed she has been getting stuck into Lego sets to take her mind off tennis. 'My family and I love to do Lego at home,' she said. 'I take it on the road, I've got a lot of cars. It's fun, it's very peaceful.'

Shivambu retracts 'drugs and alcohol' claim about MK Party's Ndhlela
In the letter, the attorneys described the allegations as false, defamatory and malicious. 'The statements were made with reckless disregard for their truthfulness,' the letter read. 'As a public representative and a member of the MK Party, you are duty-bound to ensure that your public statements are accurate and do not unjustly harm others.' Shivambu was given 48 hours to publish an apology and a retraction of his statement on X, and to pin the post for a minimum of seven days, stating that 'the allegations were false, without foundation and that you regret making them'. Shivambu was also required to contact eNCA and request that they broadcast a correction of his statement. Failure to comply with the demands within 48 hours would lead to further legal action, including a defamation case in the high court, a court order compelling him to retract his statement and issue an apology, and liability for all costs associated with the legal proceedings. Despite his apology, Ndhlela has filed a civil case against Shivambu. TimesLIVE

Oldham's Kian Harratt 'feel terrible' after chair throwing video
An Oldham Athletic player "feels terrible" after footage of a violent incident at an Ibiza hotel was shared widely on social Harratt, who has played for the club since March, was filmed at the hotel, understood to be in the San Antonio area, with a group of males, who can be seen arguing with other holidaymakers in videos shared to Instagram and clips finish after a chair is thrown which hits a woman, who falls to the the footage was shared, Harratt has shared his own TikTok in which he said he was "very apologetic" after the incident. Continuing in his TikTok video, Harrett added: "I had to post it because I've had nothing but abuse all morning".He also claimed the clips being shared across social media do not show the incident in full adding "The video cut off" and he and his group acted like "any normal mates would do". Oldham Athletic Football Club has also commented on the video confirming a "thorough investigation" would be carried. Out.A club spokesperson added it "strongly condemns violence of any kind"."Until the outcome of that investigation there will be no further comment," they said. Scott Mills forced to issue on-air apology over BBC blunder

The DJ held a funeral for the drama on his BBC Radio 2 show on Thursday (26 June), where he announced : 'This morning, we woke up to the news that the show that never ends is indeed ending. I am sorry if this is how you are finding out.' Mills played sombre music to mark the occasion, and opened up a phone line for devastated viewers to express their sadness. However, just 10 minutes later, Mills was forced to apologise after being told that the TV drama had not been cancelled at all. Reading out a statement from the BBC that said the show 'isn't going anywhere', the DJ admitted he had 'done a bad thing'.
