Hari Hara Veera Mallu scenes with bad VFX tweaked/removed from Pawan Kalyan film; fans wonder why it wasn't done before
Krish Jagarlamudi and Jyothi Krisna's Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1—Sword vs Spirit, starring Pawan Kalyan, Bobby Deol, and Nidhhi Agerwal, was released in theatres last Thursday. Paid premieres were held on Wednesday evening. A tweaked version of the film was almost silently released in theatres after it was criticised for bad VFX and unnecessary scenes. (Also Read: Hari Hara Veera Mallu box office collection day 3: Pawan Kalyan film earns just over ₹9 cr; no recovery even on Saturday) Pawan Kalyan-starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu was criticised for its shoddy VFX and storyline. Hari Hara Veera Mallu tweaked version released Fans who rewatched HHVM over the weekend noticed that some scenes in the film had been trimmed, while a huge chunk towards the end was removed. They began posting pictures and videos from theatres across Telugu states, commenting on how the film looks much better now with the changes. One fan posted how the film ending was trimmed down, writing on X (formerly Twitter), 'Perfect cut idi matram (This is the perfect cut)...Ending on a high note .....and that vfx tooo.' Another wrote, '#HariHaraVeeraMallu few unwanted VFX shots have been removed.' One fan commented, 'Had they done this before...' Another wrote, 'Ee pani edho mundhe chesunte bavundedi kadara (Would've been nice had they done this beforehand).' The HHVM team also confirmed that the film has been tweaked on X, writing, 'BATTLE FOR DHARMA JUST GOT BIGGER. Updated & reloaded content across all screens for the BEST cinematic experience. #HariHaraVeeraMallu - IN CINEMAS NOW.' Which scenes were moved or tweaked in HHVM A Pawan fan who re-watched HHVM over the weekend wrote, 'Banda rai scene fast chesaru. Bad Horse riding VFX scenes, Baanam scene, Flag Scene removed, Some of the Scene Was Improvise & Climax ends with Aandhi vachesindi (They fastened the scene with the boulder, bad horse riding scenes, the arrow scene, and the flag scene with bad VFX were removed. Some scenes were improved, and the climax ends with the storm dialogue.)' Another fan wrote, '1. Maata vinaali somg mundu banda rayu padatam .. avi crisp ga change chesaru. (The boulder scene before Maata Vinaali song is crisper now.) 2. Horse riding scenes front view .. limited to just 2 shots. 3. Flag scene deleted. 4. Yaagam scene .. 3 arrow shot was good now. 5. Pre climax became Climax (almost).' The most significant change to HHVM was made to the film's climax, where Pawan's Veera Mallu and Bobby Deol's Aurangzeb face off in a tornado. It looks like the scene has been completely removed from the film, and it ends with the shot where Aurangzeb says, 'Aandhi vachesindi (The storm is here),' while Pawan is riding in. Around 10-15 minutes of footage has been chopped from the film's ending. HHVM still ends by announcing that a Part 2, Battlefield, Yuddhabhoomi in Telugu, will continue the story. According to Sacnilk, the film has made ₹75.65 crore net in India since its release.

Arrow filled with drugs shot at Fayette County Jail
Uniontown police are investigating after an arrow filled with contraband appears to have been shot at the Fayette County Jail. The Fayette County warden, John Lenkey, told KDKA-TV an investigation started late last week after jail staff found the arrow outside of the jail. "Our staff was doing routine security perimeter checks around the institution and stumbled upon an arrow laying in the grass directly below one of our rec yard windows," Lenkey said. "When my staff first recovered it, we didn't really think much of it. It was just kind of weird." Lenkey said it didn't take long to realize why it was there and what could be inside of it. "We believe they tried to shoot the arrow. It's actually a bolt from a crossbow. It's an arrow, but they call it a bolt from a crossbow, and we speculate that they tried to shoot it through one of our rec yard windows while the inmates were in there so they could recover the bolt/arrow," Lenkey said. He said his team did a sweep of the jail on the inside and outside and began going through surveillance footage. "We have it (on video) where it struck either the window or the building, and it's falling from the air and we were able to screenshot an image of the arrow falling from top of the building, halfway down to the bottom, to the ground," Lenkey said. Lenkey told KDKA-TV he believes multiple suspects are involved. "We are thinking it was from a moving vehicle or a vehicle that paused, because it's not very far from the Route 21 to the facility," Lenkey said. He said the windows of the jail are made of titanium and can't be penetrated. He said he believes the shooters missed the window based on a chip in the brick under the window of the jail. "We are definitely taking this very serious, and we plan on pressing charges to the full extent we can," Lenkey said. Lenkey said had the arrow made its way into the jail, it could have been life-threatening to inmates and staff. "At a high rate of speed, that projectile, it's very dangerous. Not just because it contained contraband inside of the arrow but the arrow could strike an individual and death could be a factor or serious injury," Lenkey said. Lenkey said he believes the suspects had been in communication with an inmate inside the jail to know where and when to shoot it. "There was definitely someone inside and definitely someone outside corresponding to make this happen because this has to be done at a certain time when the inmates were actually out in the rec yard because if that arrow or bolt would have made it through and out there, our officers do rounds and inspect these yards constantly as they do rounds and it would have been noticed. So, the inmate had to be in there to recover it, or inmates," Lenkey said. This isn't the first time inmates have tried to smuggle drugs into the jail. In March, video shows inmates trying to reel in drugs from outside the jail building using headphone wires and an envelope. Since then, Lenkey said the jail has strengthened security. "I would like to remind them that this is a state-of-the-art facility with dedicated employees that is doing everything within our power and our knowledge to prevent instances of contraband getting in here," Lenkey said. "Our job here is to maintain safety and security. That's our biggest focus, is focus on security and the safety of the individuals that work here, along with the individuals that reside here." What type of drugs were inside the arrow remains unknown. "They have to be sent out to the lab and be tested. It appeared to be a white powdery substance. That's what it is. But as far as confirming what it is, we won't know that until it comes back from the lab," Lenkey said. An internal investigation into the incident is ongoing. So far, no charges have been filed.

Inmate manages to escape from a Louisiana jail for the second time in a year
A Louisiana jail inmate who escaped from a parish jail about a year ago has accomplished the same feat again, authorities said. Tra'Von Johnson, 19, made his latest escape Thursday from the Tangipahoa Parish Jail, which has a history of jailbreaks involving a half-dozen inmates in recent years, the sheriff's office announced. Johnson had been awaiting a trial for his alleged role in a home invasion that left a man killed and a child injured, authorities said. Authorities say they became suspicious when a member of the public called the sheriff's office shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday, questioning whether Johnson was still in custody. 'Following an immediate headcount of the jail population and a review of Johnson's movements throughout the day, it was determined Johnson escaped around 4:30 p.m. when another inmate helped lift him over the perimeter fence,' the sheriff's office said in a statement. Law officers are now searching for Johnson and also contacting victims and reaching out to Johnson's relatives and associates, the sheriff's office said. In the summer of 2024, Johnson was among a group of four inmates who escaped from the jail over the Memorial Day weekend by crawling under a gap in a wall and then scaling two razor-wire fences. Three of the escapees including Johnson were captured within days, but it took six months to apprehend the fourth fugitive. Manpower shortages, inadequate staff training and experience, a lack of supervision and insufficient head counts contributed to the escape last year, authorities said at the time. In 2017, two brothers being held on charges that included attempted murder escaped from the jail's exercise yard and were recaptured the next day, WBRZ-TV reported at the time. Tangipahoa Parish is about 75 miles (120 kilometers) northwest of New Orleans. The latest Tangipahoa Parish jailbreak comes as state and federal law officers continue hunting for five of the 10 inmates who escaped from a jail in New Orleans. In that case, the inmates squeezed through a small hole after removing a toilet. The message 'To Easy LOL' was left on the cell room wall, with an arrow pointing to the hole.
