Suspects wearing bright orange construction gear wanted for attempted robbery
Police seek three suspects who wore bright construction clothing and face masks accused of an attempted robbery in Kinmount, Ont. on June 30, 2025. An attempted robbery in Kinmount is under investigation after police say three suspects wearing construction safety clothing tried to break into a business. Officers responded to a report about an attempted robbery around 5 p.m. on Monday at a business on County Road 121. They say the suspects had fled the scene empty-handed before officers arrived. All three were wearing bright orange construction gear. (OPP) Provincial police are urging business owners in the area who may have sold high-visibility clothing similar to what the suspects wore to contact the authorities. 'Additionally, if you were in the Kinmount area between 4:30 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. on June 30 and have any relevant footage, please reach out to assist in the investigation,' OPP noted. It's believed the suspects left the scene in a blue Honda Civic. No injuries were reported.

Jail for Maltby launderette robber fought off with pair of jeans
A man who tried to rob a pensioner at a launderette - but was fought off with a pair of jeans - has been Smith burst through the doors of the Coin-Op Launderette in Maltby, near Rotherham, on the morning of 7 January, where Ron Croker was drying his clothes.A masked Smith demanded Mr Croker hand over his wallet, but was shoved through the door by the 84-year-old, who had wrapped a pair of jeans around his arms to protect him from potential 42, of Myrtle Grove in Rotherham, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and was jailed for three years and nine months at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday. According to South Yorkshire Police, Smith was identified by members of the public after CCTV footage of the attack was officers arrested him the following day, he denied having anything to do with the crime and claimed he was not the man in the footage. He pleaded guilty to attempted robbery at Sheffield Crown Court on 7 Croker suffered bruises to his hands and arm but otherwise escaped without losing his wallet or any other previously told the BBC he had worked "all my life" for his money and decided Smith was "not having it".Det Insp Lucy Garside, of Rotherham CID, said: "Smith's actions were reprehensible, he tried to intimidate and rob a man twice his age, but has instead earned himself time behind bars."I would like to thank the members of the public who supported our investigation and helped to identify Smith, so that we could secure justice for his victim and also to the officer in charge of the investigation, Det Con Byne who worked diligently to build the case." Man in hospital after attempted robbery
A man has been taken to hospital after he was hurt in an attempted robbery in Leicestershire, police said. The man was found on Wolsey Way, Syston, at 00:32 BST on Sunday and an investigation discovered he was attacked in Meadow Lane, Birstall, some time earlier on Saturday night. The force said it was investigating what had happened to him and appealed for information. The man was still in hospital and was in a stable condition on Sunday, they added. Atlanta police investigating attempted robbery, stabbing
Atlanta police are investigating an attempted robbery in which a man was stabbed. On Sunday, at approximately 8:38 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person stabbed near the Garnett MARTA Station at 232 Forsyth Street SW. Police believe the 38-year-old victim was walking through an alleyway near 221 Peachtree Street when two people approached him, attempted to rob him, and then stabbed him. Investigators with the Aggravated Assault Unit responded to the scene, and their investigation continues. Two women assaulted with metal rod during robbery attempt in Tampines
SINGAPORE: Two women, aged 82 and 30, were reportedly attacked with a metal rod during an attempted robbery at Tampines Street 22 on Sunday afternoon. According to the police, the suspect, a 40-year-old man, allegedly approached the women around 1.30pm and demanded that they surrender their valuables. When the victims resisted, he is believed to have assaulted them with a metal rod. Both women sustained injuries during the attack and were taken to hospital conscious. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed. The police responded swiftly and arrested the man within three hours of the report being made. The metal rod used in the alleged assault has been recovered and will be used as evidence in the case. The suspect has since been charged in court with attempted armed robbery with hurt. If convicted, he faces a jail term of between five and 20 years and no fewer than 12 strokes of the cane.
