Lewis Capaldi backed to front Glastonbury secret set amid rumours of his return to music
Glastonbury Festival kicks off next week and fans believe Lewis Capaldi will be the surprise act in the TBA slot.
Glastonbury 2025 is now just mere days away with the iconic musical festival at Worthy Farm in Pilton set to kick off on Wednesday June 25. However, most fans will most be looking forward to the weekend as headliners the 1975, Olivia Rodrigo and Neil Young all take to the Pyramid Stage while Rod Stewart will be playing the coveted Legends Slot on the Sunday.
With just days left to go, fans are eagerly waiting in anticipation to discover which music stars will play the TBA (To be Announced) sets next weekend with a new survey from Spin Genie revealing the acts Brits are backing to see take the stage. Among them is the beloved Lewis Capaldi, who is one of the top tipped names.
The 28-year-old has been taking a break from the limelight after his 2023 Glastonbury performance which saw the Scots singer heavily relying on fans to finish his set for him as he was seen visibly struggling with his Tourette's Syndrome. However, Lewis is not the number one favourite on the list, with the survey revealing there is one other major pop star that fans are rooting to see perform.
The runaway favourite is currently Lady Gaga, following her record breaking performance on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last month where she played to an estimated 2.5M people for free.
The Bad Romance hitmaker stormed to the top spot with 27 per cent of the votes from respondents.
However, there were some other unexpected names thrown into the mix. Other mentioned stars include the Killers with 12 per cent of votes and Pulp at 10 percent while Chappell Roan was backed by 7 percent of votes.
The most shocking result of all was undoubtedly actor Timothée Chalamet who received 4% of the vote.
The American star who recently played the leading role of Bob Dylan in his biopic 'A Complete Unknown' appears to have impressed fans with his singing talents as they are holding out for a surprise Dylan medley from the Hollywood icon at the festival.
Here are the full results of the survey below.

Speculation that Capaldi could be the surprise act for this year comes amid Rod Stewart's announcement he will be bringing three secret guests on stage with him.
The singer has been laying low for a few years after cancelling all of his 2023 tour dates to focus on his health. However, there are rumours he is making a slow return back to music.
Just last month he delighted fans by making a surprise appearance at Tom Walker's gig at the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh in honour of a leading mental health charity.
Capaldi performed six songs, including 2019 hit Someone You Loved, in aid of the Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm), a mental health charity he has previously raised funds for.
Could Lewis be back for Glastonbury round two? Fans will need to wait and see until next weekend.
