Police share new CCTV after gruesome attack on bikie trying to leave gang

New CCTV footage of a group allegedly planning a gruesome attack on a man intending to leave a bikie gang has emerged after he was found with his tattoos burned and shot off outside an emergency room. Police shared the new footage on Friday as they work to find those responsible for the gruesome alleged attack more than a month on. Leslie 'Lethal Les' Grantham, a 51-year-old senior member of the Comanchero bikie gang, was found outside the Rockingham Hospital, in Perth's south, about 10pm on May 14 with multiple gun shot wounds to his upper body and leg, as well as burns, police said. In the new footage, which police allege shows bikies planning the alleged attack, three cars, a white SUV, a black ute and a white ute are seen arriving in a car park at Auburn Grove Train Station. A group emerges from the white ute, which is first to leave the car park, and those people are seen getting into the white SUV shortly after. One person exits the black ute and appears to pass something to the group in the SUV as it also leaves the car park before driving off as well. The white ute, with number plates 1BFC417, was later captured pulling into Rockingham Hospital, allegedly with Mr Grantham inside. It has not been seen since. Police allege Mr Grantham had been trying to leave the outlaw motorcycle gang when the group turned on him. It is alleged his tattoos were burned off, he was repeatedly shot and set alight before finally being dumped and left for dead outside the hospital. Detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Thompson told media at the time of the attack anyone who was considering joining an outlaw motorcycle group should heed the 'callous' attack as a warning. The senior sergeant said Mr Grantham was well known to police and had been left with life-changing injuries. 'He's got burns to his legs, and we suspect that's a product of other people trying to remove his tattoos,' he alleged. 'He was a patch member, and he was a senior member, and he held a position of authority within that club. 'If you're thinking about joining an outlaw motorcycle gang, think again, this person has now been left with life-changing injuries … solely because he was a member.' Mr Grantham has since been released from hospital, but is refusing to co-operate with authorities.

Police allege NSW men from Alameddine group abducted man on Sunshine Coast

Seven men from New South Wales with alleged links to a Middle Eastern bikie gang have been charged with abducting a Queensland man who operated a gambling investment company over a $2.4 million debt. Sunshine Coast police will allege the group of men, from a bikie gang notorious for public shootings and "murder for hire", kidnapped a 27-year-old man and his 29-year-old Sunshine Coast girlfriend on April 10. Two of the men were arrested by police and charged that night. Five others allegedly fled the state using fake names. Police extradited four of the men from NSW to Brisbane earlier this month over their alleged involvement in the attack. NSW Police said another man was unable to be extradited because of a medical condition. He was arrested in Brisbane on Monday and charged with the same offences as the others. Courts documents show police will allege the alleged victim, a 27-year-old Queensland man with no fixed address, started working for a gambling investment business back in 2018. It was initially known as Pachira Sports. Police will allege the man later took over the gambling business and rebranded it to Worldwide Sporting Investment. Court documents show the man flew to Sydney in January 2023 to meet with a man allegedly from a Middle Eastern bikie gang. "About a day later they put up $250,000," he told police. According to court documents the alleged bikie gang members continued investing more funds every month until October 2023. Police will allege they invested a total of $3.1 million, and made a total of $1.8 million in cleared funds, plus another $600,000 when the account was closed. The man owed $2.4 million to the alleged bikie gang members, according to court documents. Last year, two alleged bikie members allegedly attacked him over the debt and stole his car worth about $140,000. He told police he was subjected to daily death threats, via text message and WhatsApp, over several months, leading up to the alleged attack. Police will allege all seven men charged were linked to a NSW criminal organisation operated by the notorious Alameddine family. Court documents show NSW Police told Queensland police the Alameddine group was a trans-national, serious organised crime network (OCN) in Sydney and the Middle East. They allege the group was "closely associated with the Comanchero OMCG (outlaw motorcycle gang)". Police allege members were known to flee Australia without passports, on boats, to countries without extradition treaties with Australia, such as Turkey, Dubai, Northern Cyprus, Lebanon, and Iraq, when being investigated. Police believe the OCN is responsible for "the highest levels of criminality in Sydney including large-scale illicit drug importation which arrives by the ton, armed conflict, public place shootings, extortion, murder for hire," court documents said. "They are linked to illicit tobacco trade in Australia and the list goes on. OCN has ongoing feuds with other organised crime families in Sydney, which has resulted in a large number of murders and public place shootings," the documents said. Police will allege the men booked accommodation on the Sunshine Coast from April 6 to April 11. Police allege CCTV showed the men were allegedly stalking the male complainant at the Brightwater Tavern and purchased two GPS tracking devices on April 9. Police will allege that about midnight, on the morning of Thursday, April 10, the man and his girlfriend were pulling into the garage at her Birtinya home in her white Range Rover when they were suddenly surrounded by seven men. The men told them to get out of the car and the girlfriend called triple-0 on her phone, police alleged. The men allegedly demanded she hang up or they would kill her boyfriend. One of the men then allegedly told him, "You know what this is about". They then allegedly forced the man to give them his PIN code for his mobile phone and digital wallet. Court documents show the girlfriend recorded part of the conversation on her phone, which she then gave to police. "Lucky she's there or we'd bash the f*** out of you," they allegedly said. The man was allegedly told he "would have been taken to a farm and tortured" if he was on his own. According to court documents, negotiations went on for hours before the men allegedly forced the man into the back seat of the white Range Rover and had his girlfriend drive them, with two other cars following in a convoy, to a unit complex at Maroochydore. At the Maroochydore unit, the men allegedly threatened to cut the man's fingers off if he did not pay his debt. The alleged victim believed the men intended to kill him but did not because his girlfriend was there, court documents said. Fearing for his life, he reportedly tried calling more than 20 people in his phone begging for money to cover his debt. By 11am, some of the people had contacted police. Police say five of the alleged bikies left the Maroochydore unit about 7:30pm. They say two stayed, guarding the complainant and his girlfriend. Police arrived soon after. Police arrested the two men still at the Maroochydore unit and took them to the Maroochydore Watchhouse. Anthony Khalil, Aaron John McCann, Omar Mohmed Ahmed Hassan, and Nezar Manly were extradited from NSW to Queensland on June 6. Joel A Batour-Pullin and Nassim Eid, who were arrested at the unit, had their matters mentioned in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on June 9. The seventh man was unable to be extradited due to a "medical condition". Arrangements were made for the 41-year-old NSW man to be at a Brisbane police station on Monday. All seven were charged with deprivation of liberty and extortion, while Mr Batour-Pullin was also charged after allegedly refusing to unlock his phone for police. All men have been released from custody on strict bail conditions and had their charges adjourned till August 4 at Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
