I can't believe how I reacted at my gender reveal, sure I was disappointed but I'll feel guilty for the rest of my life
WHILE most parents would be happy whatever gender their baby is born as, the same can't be said for one mum who admitted to her immediate thoughts after finding out she was having a boy. Desperate for a girl, Monique Tibbott was instead reduced to tears at the gender reveal of their soon to be born baby when the colour blue appeared inside of the cake. 3 Monique was adamant she was having a second girl throughout her pregnancy. The 21-year-old from Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia, explained: 'All I know is pink. All I know is being a girl mom – I have never experienced raising a boy and it's just terrifying to me. 'I feel so guilty and like the worst mom in the world because when I saw the baby's gender in that cake, my heart sank. 'I'm going to feel guilty for the rest of my life for how I reacted; I'm never going to forget how I thought when I first found out about him.' Throughout her pregnancy, the stay-at-home mum had been convinced she was expecting a second girl; and after already having her daughter, Delilah, it was something she thought she'd be better equipped for. However, that dream soon diminished for Monique during the gender reveal, alongside her husband Brandon; when after uncovering the gender, her reaction failed to live up to expectation. Monique told how she then spent the next few days in tears while trying to process the news. With her reaction failing to live up to the hype and expectation of what gender reveals typically do, she is conscious she tarnished the special day with her emotion. Becoming a parent to a boy is a reality that scares Monica as she stared down a barrel in fear on how to bring her son up. Having had the experience in how to raise her daughter, Monique fears bringing a boy up will be a completely different scenario. Love Islander reveals if his unborn baby is a boy or a girl at incredible gender reveal party with The Challenge star girlfriend Monique also told how she's struggled to find a name for a boy she's really settled on – with that being in stark contrast for girl's name, which she could name ten for. Speaking more about her reaction to the news of her expecting a boy, Monique told: 'I feel angry at myself for how I reacted because I should have just been grateful and happy that he's healthy and that I have the fertility ability to carry a baby. 'I know that probably pregnancy hormones are a huge factor to play here, but I think that I was just more shocked and not able to process it because I was so certain I was having a girl. 'I just feel very alone, and I feel so bad for Brandon because I ruined his day. He was so excited, and I just dimmed it with my reaction.'

Boy Mom Ellie Kemper Reveals Why She's Ignoring All the Experts While Doing This With Her 2 Sons
Ellie Kemper is telling it like it is once again. This time, she gave super-rare details about being a boy mom in an interview with Parents. Not only that, but she talked about how she isn't paying attention to the parenting experts when it comes to planning summer with her growing sons. 'I'm looking forward to having not as much structure,' she said. 'I know that all the parenting experts tell me that structure is key, and I agree with that to a point.' More from SheKnows Halle Berry & Her Rarely-Seen Son Maceo Are Bouncing for Joy in an Enchanting Summertime Video She added, 'But I think it's also nice to let some of the structure slide during the summer, which is sort of natural.' However, this may not be what she sticks to halfway through summer! In the same interview, The Office alum talked about how her and her husband's parenting style is ever-evolving, saying, 'While my husband and I have rules and boundaries and structure in place, I've learned that I need to ease up on certain things. So, it's kind of something that I'm constantly refining.' Back in 2012, Kemper and comedy writer Michael Koman got engaged, and married that same year. They have two sons, James, born in Aug 2016, and Matthew, born in Sept 2019. In a recent chat with Kemper during Kohl's Evening with Ellie! dinner, she talked about her motherly habits. 'It is very important to stay grounded,' she said. 'I would say one habit that I really lean into is leaning on my mom friends. I think that it takes a village to get this done. It's nice to know that you're not alone, that you have a family, a team, there with you.'Best of SheKnows 15 Celebrity Parents Whose Kids Went to Ivy League Schools Tween & Teen Slang 2025: A Definitive Guide to 'What the Hellyante' Your Kid Is Saying Right Now Celebrity Parents Who Are So Proud of Their LGBTQ Kids

'Obsessive' mom sparks fierce debate after surprising her son at college bar
A mom is being ridiculed for her decision to surprise her son at college while he was out with his friends. Self-proclaimed 'boy mom' Jessica Tapscott often posts videos of life alongside her husband and three sons - but the internet is up in arms over her latest clip. In the upload, which was posted to TikTok, Jessica flaunted her latest stunt, claiming to have gone to a bar near her son's college to surprise him. 'The one time I showed up at the club to surprise my son at college,' she wrote on the video. In the clip, which has been viewed over 3.4 million times, the mom shows a compilation of herself grinning next to her son while out at a dark night club. In one shot, she beams towards the camera with a drink in hand before it pans over to her son who is sitting down with his hood up over his face and looking at his phone. He then looks up exasperatedly from his phone before Jessica pans back over to herself and grins. Other shots included her taking videos while her son danced with his friends, and her ordering a drink while he shook his head next to her. While some viewers questioned the authenticity of the clip, the majority seemed to think it was legitimate - even if they were exaggerating slightly for camera. 'Boy moms are so scary I swear to god,' declared one user. 'As a mom of 17- and 10-year-old boys, may this level of obsession never find me,' wrote another. 'The secondhand embarrassment I feel for him,' groaned another. 'He can pretend all he wants but deep down he loves it!' one person gushed. 'Mama just showing these young bucks how to have a good time,' cheered another. 'Everyone in the comments is so wild. It's so clearly a joke and he's SO clearly in on it,' argued another. 'He's even in the comments joking around. Y'all HATE to see a mom and son who actually enjoy each others company it's crazy.' While the term 'boy mom' seems innocent enough, some influencers have taken it to mean more than just referring to a mom raising sons - with experts warning it could lead to a toxic family dynamic. In some 'boy mom' videos online, some women describe raising a son as enduring the longest break-up of your life, with others criticizing their son's future spouse for everything from cooking to cleaning. Last year, creator Mellissa went viral after sharing she regularly has 'date nights' with her 12-year-old son to teach him how to treat women. 'GRWM (Get ready with me) for a date with my boy,' Melissa captioned her video that she posted on Instagram. 'Basically you give them an allowance ($50) and they take you out on a date,' she explained. 'The idea is you are prepping them for how to take a girl out on a date in the future so they aren't completely lost when the time comes,' she continued. 'So you help them along the way with how to plan and execute a date and you teach them basic etiquette and manners.' She added: 'It's really nice because we get to spend thoughtful, intentional time together - but the catch is that I make him plan it.' While some users thought it was charming, others suggested it could raise issues in the future when the son attempts to form his own relationships, and create unnecessary issues for all parties later in life.
