CCTV footage captures brazen breakfast bandit snatching DoorDash delivery from Prahran doorstep
A cheeky breakfast bandit has been caught on CCTV footage sneaking into the front gate of a property in inner Melbourne to swipe a DoorDash delivery.
A young woman in leafy Prahran contacted the Herald Sun after realising her $13.50 smoothie had been poached from the door step.
The woman had received a notification that her order had been dropped off — but then before she made it to the door, her CCTV cameras alerted her that another person had made their way through the gate of her yard.
Footage revealed a brazen bandit who looked to be passing by before spotting the brown bag and sneaking in to pinch it before scuttling back onto the street.
His dog follows, confused close behind.
'It was only out there for three minutes,' the woman who ordered the smoothie said.
'I'm not mad, just hungry.'
Finding all but an empty doorstep, the woman could only hope the smoothie snatcher was lactose intolerant.
The woman has contacted police to report the alleged offender.
