Amazon's ‘breathable' blanket keeps you cosy in 30C heat without feeling weighed down – and it's half price of Dunelm

AMAZON is selling a "breathable" blanket to keep you cosy in the heat this summer without feeling weighed down. What's better is that it's more than half the price of the Dunelm version so is a great option on a budget. 2 Amazon's Cooling Summer Blanket is available from just £7.99 and comes in a variety of sizes and colours. Breathable and lightweight, the blanket is designed with special materials to promote airflow and stop overheating. It's lightweight design means you can stay cosy without feeling weighed down. Made with advanced cooling fabric technology it provides an instant chill sensation and is perfect for hot sleepers and warmer temperatures. Crafted from premium, hypoallergenic materials the cooling blanket is suitable for sensitive skin too. It's ideal for beds or if you fancy a quick snooze on the settee but its also ideal for when you're camping or travelling. What's better is that it's machine washable and quick to dry so is hassle free to maintain. It retains its cooling properties even after multiple washes. The Summer Cooling Blanket comes in a wide range of different colours and sizes. If you don't fancy the green version, you can also buy in hot pink, light blue, yellow and lots more depending on the size of your choice. Sizes range from 150cm in length by 100cm in width all the way up to 200 by 230cm. You can also make savings of up to 40% when you purchase more than one. It's already gained five star reviews too. Stop Making This Air Conditioning Mistake: How to Slash Your Summer Energy Bill "But pay attention to the size you purchase!" Another happy customer said: "It's solved the problem of hot, sweaty nights, I would recommend it." It's a great option if you're looking for a cool blanket this summer on a budget. Dunelm's Holden Bedspread comes in £20 and is only available as a double kingsize, measuring 235cm x 235cm. But that's still more expensive than Amazon's largest cooling blanket. Dunelm also doesn't offer as many colour options. But it has seen some good reviews with an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. One person said: "Comfy enough to be used over a sheet instead of a duvet and handy for throwing over the settee." With temperatures set to soar again, it's important to keep cool in the heat, especially at night.

How to wear this summer's hottest crochet dresses without flashing everyone – no matter what size you are

When it comes to dressing for summer, crochet is always a fail safe. Usually made from natural fibres like cotton and wool, the open knit means it is more breathable and therefore more cooling. 8 However, whilst it is perfect for warmer weather, designs can often leave a lot of crochet see through. Which may suit the beach, but for an everyday summer look is not the one. Trying to find a non see through crochet dress can be tricky, especially when looking online as they may seem a good option until you see it in person and you can see more than you originally thought. But they are out there. And they're celebrity approved - actress Ellie Bamber stepped out in Cannes this week in a crochet dress, plus Michelle Keegan's latest range for Very has a lovely yellow non see through crochet dress. Here, Deputy Fashion Editor Abby McHale shows you her top picks of crochet dresses that will leave you flash free... Michelle Keegan has been working with Very since 2017, producing countless edits for them throughout the year. Her latest range sees a plethora of summer looks, including this yellow crochet dress. Yellow can be a tricky colour to make not see through, however thanks to the clever lining underneath there will be no chance of mishaps when wearing this. 8 Whilst crochet is usually associated with more casual attire, it can also look great for more dressy occasions as seen here with this dress from River Island. Crochet is making a comeback this summer as the high-street offers plenty of alternative fresh takes on the trend The main part of the dress is lined underneath to keep you protected, before flowing out into a tassel detail at the bottom to add even more interest to the look. This midi dress from George at Asda is a steal at just £20. Perfect for the summer months, this would look lovely both on holiday and at home with a pair of flat sandals and a raffia bag. The dress has been crocheted tightly to not leave gaps so that you can't see anything underneath. Plus it's made partly from cotton so is still very breathable. If you're looking for a mini crochet dress then take a look at this one from Pretty Little Thing. A halterneck strap detailing, v-neckline and a ruffle hem makes this a really fun option for summer. Once again the crochet has been designed not to leave any gaps, so you don't have to worry about what to wear underneath. A perfect dress to pack for your holidays. Dress, £30, Very Another option from Very, this time from its core V by Very range, this dress is just £30. The pattern is very reminiscent of Italian design house Missoni with the striped detailing super flattering. Not only does the busy pattern make this harder to see through, but the crochet has been knitted closely. Cream is a tricky colour to wear at the best of times, especially when it comes to making sure you can't see anything underneath. So wearing something that is both cream and crochet may seem like a no go. However, this New Look dress available on Asos is knitted together so finely that it is possible - just make sure you still wear light colours underneath. It clearly comes with a visible slip dress in the middle which means the bit you don't want to be seen through is covered. It also means it's still very breathable and a great way of adding some crochet into your wardrobe. Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.

Eberjey Vs. Cozy Earth: Which Pajamas Are ‘Cooler'? We Tested Both

Summer often means switching to lighter and cooler pajamas. If your body temperature runs hot at night, you want the most breathable sleepwear out there. After testing multiple sets of pajamas for years here at Forbes Vetted, our team has consistently given Eberjey and Cozy Earth top marks for their airy fabrics and ultra comfortable designs. To find out which brand is truly best for hot weather, though, I did a side-by-side comparison. Here's my detailed review to help you sleep a bit cooler right now. My body temperature fluctuates a lot at night: I'm both hot and cold at various times. For me, pajamas that I can layer provide the right balance. For that reason, I tried Cozy Earth's midweight t-shirt and bamboo shorts paired with the brand's French terry pullover, the idea being that I can mix and match these separates for sleeping and also wearing around the house at night and in the early chilly mornings. The t-shirt is made from 100% cotton fabric, which has a soft, brushed feel. I'd consider this a classic t-shirt you can wear day or night, and it's great if you're not prone to night sweats. I tended to get a little overheated during the hottest part of the night, so it wasn't my favorite for sleeping, but it was very comfortable for lounging. To stay cooler, I ditched the t-shirt. Instead, I just wore the StudioLite Crewneck on its own: It's made from French terry and has deep side vents to encourage natural airflow and breathability. I loved the cool-to-the-touch fabric, but the side vents made the fit too loose, which meant this top rode up and didn't stay put during the night. Again, it was super comfortable for hanging out in the morning and before bed—just not for actual sleeping. The Brushed Bamboo Shorts were a total home run. They're made from bamboo viscose, which Cozy Earth says is responsibly sourced and temperature regulating, and wicks moisture while you sleep. The shorts have pockets—a must for convenience—and the brushed texture is super smooth and midweight. I slept coolly and comfortably all night in these and could easily wear them for workouts and travel, too. I enlisted the help of my teenage daughter to try Eberjey's Gisele Tencel Modal Relaxed Short PJ Set. Her body temperature is completely different than mine: She runs hot all night and often needs the air conditioning pumping at full blast, even in the dead of winter. Steamy, humid weather is unbearable. She's also a teenager and, naturally, picky about fashion, including her sleepwear. In our guide to the best pajamas for women, Eberjey's Gisele came out on top as the best cooling option—and it continues to prove why. This set is made from Tencel modal, which doesn't trap heat the way synthetic fabrics can and, instead, encourages airflow. Modal also pulls moisture away from the skin better than cotton and has a smooth, silky-cool texture. The design drapes well and doesn't cling to your body either, another plus for hot sleepers out there. In terms of style, the Gisele definitely stands out for its chic piping, button front and notched collar. This set gives a luxury-lingerie vibe. The fabric is intentionally thin, though, which means the lighter colors can be a bit transparent. Another drawback: no pockets on the shorts. This would drive me crazy, since I like to rest my hands in my pockets while lounging, but it didn't bother my daughter. Most importantly, she slept comfortably and did not wake up drenched in a pool of sweat. That's a win. After comparing both types of pajamas for those with different body-temperature needs, Eberjey's emerged as the best cooling set overall. If your temperature fluctuates during the night, Cozy Earth's separates are the best option for layering. The price is relatively similar between the two brands, though Cozy Earth tends to offer more sales and discounts from what I've observed. Both pajamas are stylish, but Eberjey's set has elevated details like piping and pearly white buttons, whereas Cozy Earth's is, as the name implies, cozy and laid-back. If you want pajamas that function more like all-day loungewear, Cozy Earth is the way to go.
