Terrified Lateysha Grace rushes baby daughter, six months, to hospital as she struggles to breathe
'so scary' The reality TV star feared the worst when her six-month-old's airways were impacted when she fell ill REALITY TV star Lateysha Grace rushed her sick six-month-old baby to hospital after she started struggling to breathe. The 32-year-old listened to her intuition when her daughter"took a turn for the worse". 4 4 4 Lateysha says she couldn't take her eyes off her "brave baby girl" in hospital where she was diagnosed with bronchitis and croup. Posting a snap from hospital, the terrified mum of Navy Storm Grace told fans: "Sorry I've been so MIA guys. "Navy took a turn for the worse on Friday night and we ended up in hospital until Saturday. "It was so scary. She got diagnosed with bronchitis and croup bless her. "I'm going to add a video in of her breathing to warn other parents to go straight to A&E if their child has similar symptoms. "She's on the mend now. Her breathing is so much better. "She's drinking her milk and her temperature has gone." Lateysha - who is already a mum to Winter, nine, and two-year-old Layke - added: "Apparently she had it for a couple of days prior and day four or five is the worst, which were the days we were in hospital. "So even if your baby has the tiniest of coughs/colds get it checked out. "I honestly thought it was nothing at first as she had no temperature and was eating, drink and sleeping normally." Croup is a common condition that mainly affects babies' and young children's airways. Symptoms usually include a barking cough and high pitched, rasping sound when breathing in. Lateysha shot to fame at just 19-years-old where she declared that she was the "welsh Beyonce" after becoming the breakout star of raucous TV show The Valleys. She soon saw her fame skyrocket as she released her own autobiography, Valleywood, and released a top-selling clothing range. What is croup and what are the symptoms? Croup is a condition that occurs in young children and babies affecting their windpipe (trachea), the airways to the lungs (bronchi) and the voice box (larynx). Typically croup is identifiable through the distinctive cough which sounds like a dog's bark - it can also have a harsh, painful-sounding noise when the child breathes in which is known as "stridor". Across most instances this is a condition that can be diagnosed easily by your GP and then treated at home. However, if their airway gets blocked and your young one has trouble breathing, you may need to take them to the nearest A&E department. After her stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, the busy mum landed her very own MTV series called Million Dollar Baby. Lateysha also had appearances in Ex On The Beach and Just Tattoo Of Us. The Celebrity Big Brother star waited until she was seven months pregnant to announce that she was set to become a mother for the third time. The reason she left is to so late to tell people, was because she had previously suffered a miscarriage in 2022. 4
