Delta pilot arrested by federal agents who stormed the cockpit moments after landing in San Francisco
Passengers were left shocked as federal agents stormed the cockpit of Delta flight just moments after the plane landed in San Francisco. One of the plane's pilots was arrested on child porn charges by officers from multiple agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office. The incident occurred on board Delta Flight 2809 around 9:35 p.m. local time on Saturday. The flight departed from Minneapolis earlier in the day. The landing was delayed due to heavy fog in the Bay Area. Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin reported that the pilot was arrested on charges related to child sexual abuse materials. 'A group of people with badges, guns, and different agency vests/markings were pushing their way up through the aisle to the cockpit,' first class passenger Sarah Christianson told The San Francisco Chronicle. She also described the officers as having 'stormed the cockpit, cuffed the co-pilot, arrested him, walked him down the aisle, and ushered him off the plane through the cabin doors located between first and coach.' Christianson told the newspaper that the other pilot told the passengers that he was just as confused as everybody else about what was going on. She went on to describe the incident as 'shocking and unnerving.' Christianson said that she counted around ten officers involved in the arrest. In a separate interview, Christianson said that she was reduced to tears following the ordeal. 'It was scary. It was traumatic to watch. As soon as my husband picked me up from baggage claim, I jumped in the car and cried. Because who knows what's happening to that poor person? Why that happened? What did we just see?' she told ABC San Francisco. After the pilot was led away, officers remained on board, collecting his belongings. He had not been publicly identified. Video of the arrest was published by aviation blog A View From the Wing. Just last week, a Delta pilot was arrested in Sweden after allegedly failing a breathalyzer test, something the pilot and the airline have denied.

Alberta football coach charged with using AI to create child porn
Justin Tillery, seen in this undated image from Instagram, is accused of using AI technology to create child porn images. (Supplied) Authorities have charged a Lethbridge, Alta., man with multiple child sexual exploitation offences after they say he used artificial intelligence to create child porn. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team's (ALERT) internet child exploitation (ICE) unit has charged Justin Tillery, 38, with making, distributing, possessing and accessing child pornography. ICE said Tillery, a junior girls football coach with the Lethbridge Rams and Football Alberta U18 women's teams, used AI to 'manipulate and sexualize photos of underage girls.' Officials said many of the images were shared with others via the messaging app Kik. The investigation dates back to November 2024, but Tillery is the only suspect. Authorities have not said if any of the victims were athletes that Tillery worked with. A number of computers and devices were seized from his home when he was arrested and they are being analyzed by ICE investigators. 'We can recognize how these allegations will impact athletes, parents, and the football community. We appreciate how there will be a lot of unanswered questions, but our investigation is ongoing and we are in the process of combing through the evidence to learn more,' said Staff Sgt, Mark Auger with ALERT's ICE unit. The association that employed Tillery told CTV News Friday that it was informed of the charges on July 16. Football Alberta said he was working as a volunteer. 'Football Alberta will have no further comment regarding the arrest while the CPS investigation continues,' it said in a statement. 'Any player or parent who has concerns or is in need of support may contact Tim Enger at (780)427-8108.' The Lethbridge Rams confirmed to CTV News that Tillery was not coaching with the team during the past year. 'Part of a new reality' ALERT says charges involving deepfakes of child pornography are 'extremely rare' in the province and this could be one of the first times they've been laid. 'We're really seeing the emergence of AI and all our kind of daily lives and various applications. I think we've been prepared for this. We expect that this is going to be part of a new reality,' said ALERT spokesperson Mike Tucker. Tucker said that authorities are seeing more apps and services coming available online and one of the ICE units is dedicated toward tracking them. 'It's a difficult task, but I also think in this case, you see the complete negative side of AI, but then also the appreciation that artificial intelligence is being used to monitor social media applications to detect child pornography, too.' Tucker said parents shouldn't blame themselves for leaving their children vulnerable because there is nothing they can do in these cases. 'These were photos. Who knows how they were posted or shared online? With good intent. But to have those stolen from someone, being used, and a sexual purpose, that's a worst nightmare scenario for parents. For those athletes, it's going to have a substantial effect on those teams.' Tillery was released from custody with several court-ordered conditions, including some that prevent him from coaching anyone under 18. He is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge provincial court on Aug. 8.

Community reels as Broward teacher faces child porn charges; attorney questions evidence
The arrest of a Westchester Elementary School physical education teacher on several counts of child porn possession has sparked shock and outrage in the Coral Springs community. Accused of possessing over 75 files depicting nude children as young as 6 and referring to himself as a "pervert teacher" with a preference for 12-year-old students, Craig Rogers' arrest Tuesday at an extended-stay motel has left neighbors and educators grappling with disbelief. Educators and neighbors stunned Bonnie Rosenfield, a neighbor and fellow educator, expressed deep disgust at the allegations. "It's absolutely disgusting. It's mortifying," Rosenfield said. "As an educator, you're supposed to do the right thing and have the oath to follow protocol and make sure children feel safe because that's where children spend most of their time." Her words reflect the betrayal felt by those who trusted Rogers in his role as a teacher. Dell MacIntosh, a neighbor at the motel where Rogers was apprehended, was equally shocked. "I was real surprised when I heard what it was about. I thought it had something to do with having a run-in with police," MacIntosh said. Legal context and community concerns Rogers' attorney, Jamie Benjamin, questioned the evidence, stating, "We don't know that there's any evidence that he specifically and intentionally downloaded anything that's illegal from those apps." Benjamin also noted the connection that the alleged victim in Rogers' prior stalking case, which led to his stay at the motel, is a Coral Springs police officer from the same agency investigating the current charges. "It is a little bit interesting that the alleged victim in that case is from the same agency that is allegedly investigating him now," Benjamin said. The police report alleges Rogers sent pictures exposing himself at his school desk and possessed videos of children in sexual situations. Rogers was denied bond Thursday morning because he's accused of violating his pretrial detention on the stalking charge. If he's able to eventually bond out, he cannot be around children, use cameras or video devices or have internet access.

Bondi claims DOJ is reviewing ‘tens of thousands' of videos of Epstein with children, but no one seems to know what they are
Weeks after Pam Bondi claimed federal officials were reviewing 'tens of thousands' of videos of Jeffrey Epstein with children, as part of the notorious Epstein files, it remains unclear what exactly the Attorney General was referring to. In May, Bondi attributed delays in releasing the next batch of documents in the government's investigation into Epstein to FBI agents spending time reviewing thousands of videos that featured the late disgraced financier 'with children or child porn.' Bondi was under pressure from the public, including a number of high-profile conservative influencers, to release the information that President Donald Trump promised during his campaign after a disappointing first drop. But, court documents in the government's case against Epstein, as well as the case against his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, make no mention of a trove of videos featuring Epstein with underage people, according to those close to the case. A lawyer who represented Epstein, as well as a lawyer who represented Maxwell, told the Associated Press they had no memory of such evidence, though they could not rule out its existence entirely. 'I don't recall personally ever having that kind of discussion,' Marc Fernich, a lawyer who represented Epstein before his death, told AP. 'It's not something I ever heard about.' He didn't rule out such evidence being found later, however. Jeffrey Pagliuca, a lawyer who represented Maxwell, told AP that they 'were never provided with any of those materials.' 'I suspect if they existed, we would have seen them, and I've never seen them, so I have no idea what she's talking about,' Pagliuca said. Even FBI Director Kash Patel appeared to minimize the existence of such blatantly incriminating videos last month while speaking with podcast host Joe Rogan. 'If there was a video of some guy, or gal, committing felonies on an island and I'm in charge, don't you think you'd see it?' Patel said. While Patel did not clearly state that the videos did not exist, he did agree that the 'narrative' about such videos of Epstein committing crimes may not be 'accurate.' The Independent has asked the Department of Justice for comment. The videos Bondi referenced may exist and just have remained shrouded from the public or the government's case against Epstein and Maxwell. One civil case, brought by Jane Doe against J.P. Morgan Chase, reviewed by AP, could offer a clue. The court filing says Epstein's estate was revealed to have located an unspecified number of videos and photos that it said might contain child sex abuse material. But even that remains shrouded in secrecy with lawyers involved in that civil case saying a protective order prevents them from discussing it. The filing suggests a discovery of recordings after the criminal cases had concluded, but if that's what Bondi was referencing, the Justice Department has not said. The Trump administration has yet to release the next batch of documents in the government's investigation into Epstein. It's unclear when they may do that.
