Former child star Drake Bell claims ‘no one' on Nickelodeon gets paid residuals: ‘Child labour'
Former child star Drake Bell feels cheated, and he's not thrilled about it. The Drake & Josh star, 39, recently claimed that 'no one' on Nickelodeon receives residuals for their time on the popular children's network. He also slammed the belief that everyone on TV is rich. 'That's the perception of the world, it's always been this way,' Bell said during an episode of The Unplanned Podcast earlier this month. 'It's like, you know, 'Oh, you made a Folgers Coffee commercial. You must live in a mansion in Hollywood. Like, I saw you on TV. You're rich.'' 'That's far from the case,' he explained. 'And especially, which is the bummer for most of us on Nickelodeon, we don't get residuals for our shows.' Bell, who made his Nickelodeon debut on The Amanda Show with Amanda Bynes in 1999 before co-starring on Drake & Josh with Josh Peck from 2004 to 2007, revealed that almost everyone on the network only receives a one-time payment for their work. He then compared Nickelodeon's 'flawed' system to shows like Seinfeld and Friends, and noted how the casts of those sitcoms still earn millions of dollars from syndication residuals. 'You want to get into syndication,' Bell told podcast hosts Abby and Matt Howard. 'You want to get to 100 episodes so that you can get to syndication, and then you want to get into syndication because then you get your residual money, that's where you make your money.' 'For example, the Friends cast at the peak was making a million dollars an episode,' he continued. 'You make 13 episodes that year, you make $13 million. You make 20 episodes that year, you make $20 million, right? 'But right now, each cast member of Friends, just in syndication alone, is making over $US20 million a year, and they're not filming a show every week,' Bell added. 'They're not going to work, but they're playing their show and they're using their likeness and they're doing all this, so they get paid for it.' When Matt asked whether Nickelodeon stars didn't receive residuals because they were child actors, Bell claimed it was because the network was run by 'a lot of evil, corrupt people.' 'That's the only thing, that is the answer,' he said. 'There's no other answer.' Meanwhile, Bell lamented how he still doesn't receive residuals despite seeing Drake & Josh replays and marathons on TV and popular streaming services. 'Do everything that they do to us mentally and emotionally, and then throw us to the wolves,' he said. 'And we're like, 'OK, cool. I got rent this month.'' 'There are three channels doing Drake & Josh marathons. Netflix just bought it, it's top 10 on Netflix, and I gotta figure out how to pay my rent this month,' the actor continued. 'And some fat cat with a cigar is just sitting up at the top of Viacom, just going, 'Hehehe.' What do you call it? It's just like getting high on child labour.' Bell, who filed for bankruptcy back in 2014, ended the podcast segment by saying that people outside of the entertainment industry 'don't understand how the business works.' 'They just see what the perception is on Instagram and social media and all the glitz and the glamour of Hollywood,' he said. 'We're putting in all of this work. This corporation is making billions with a 'B' off of us, and we're being compensated for the week of work, cool, but that's it.' The Post has reached out to Bell's rep and Nickelodeon for comment. This wouldn't be the first time the Drake & Josh star slammed Nickelodeon and the 'flawed' system the network had in place to protect child stars. 'And forever, in perpetuity,' Bell concluded. 'It literally says in the contract, across universes and galaxies and planets.' Last year, Bell slammed Nickelodeon's 'pretty empty' apology after the Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries exposed the toxic behind-the-scenes world of children's TV shows. Bell also revealed in the bombshell docuseries that he had been sexually assaulted by acting coach Brian Peck, and alleged that the shocking abuse is what started him down his self-destructive road.

'The Sound of Music' child star shares the secret to cast's 60-year friendship
The hills are alive – with the sound of a reunion. The former child stars of "The Sound of Music," who have remained friends for 60 years, recently reunited in Florence, Italy. Kym Karath, who played the youngest von Trapp sibling, Gretl, shared photos of the group catching up and enjoying bottles of wine on her Instagram. "The Sound of Music in Florence – the five of us!" the 66-year-old captioned a group photo. In the snap, Karath appeared alongside Nicholas Hammond, 75, who played the eldest von Trapp son, Friedrich; Duane Chase, 74, who played Kurt; Angela Cartwright, 72, who played Brigitta; and Debbie Turner, 68, who played Marta. It was a bittersweet reunion for the pals. Heather Menzies-Urich, who played Louisa, died in 2017 at the age of 68. Charmian Carr, who was the eldest sibling Liesl, passed away in 2016 at age 73. Christopher Plummer, who played the family patriarch Captain von Trapp, died in 2021 at the age of 91. "Celebrating together in Florence with all my film siblings was a complete delight," Karath told Fox News Digital. "Being together, the five of us, in one of the most beautiful cities, Florence, and appearing in the breathtaking historic theater Teatro Niccolini, built in 1648, was absolutely magical," she gushed. "The press was wonderful, and the fans were overwhelmingly warm and enthusiastic." Karath said it's a no-brainer that the castmates have remained close over the years. "I think the secret behind our friendship is the secret of all enduring friendships, although ours started at a film studio; staying close, loyal, and being there for one another," the actress explained. "As for the film's enduring appeal, beyond the soaring melodies and beautiful locations, it is the story of a real family who loved one another and were truly courageous." "The Sound of Music" premiered on March 2, 1965. The Oscar-winning film was inspired by the real-life von Trapp family that fled Austria to escape the Nazi regime. It tells the tale of a 1930s governess who watches over the large family and their widowed father, with the help of music. Descendants of the von Trapp family now run the von Trapp Family Lodge & Resort in Vermont. "Here is a little-known fact - the film family is friends with the real family," said Karath. "I just had a wonderful conversation with Elizabeth von Trapp, Werner's daughter. Werner was portrayed by Duane Chase… and they became friends. When Werner passed away, he left Duane his beautiful Austrian jacket." There's also one good reason why the cast enjoyed an Italian getaway. "We are currently working on a documentary and filmed [it] while we were in Florence together!" she teased. The actress was just three years old when she was scouted while having a cheeseburger at her father's restaurant in California. However, Karath's claim to fame was the film adaptation of the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical "The Sound of Music." Karath previously told Fox News Digital that being on the set in Salzburg was "spellbinding." "One of the best things about that movie for me was becoming a family," Karath explained. "And we did become one in real life. And being in Salzburg, Austria, I think, started my profound love of Europe and history. [But] it was not a fun thing missing my father and brother. But my sister and mother were with me. And our group really became a family, which was wonderful." The film's leading lady, Julie Andrews, quickly developed a close-knit bond with the child actors. The star, now 86, went on to win a Golden Globe and received an Academy Award nomination for her performance as Maria. Karath described the actress as "a gift." WATCH: 'THE SOUND OF MUSIC' ACTRESS KYM KARATH RECALLS CLOSE BOND WITH JULIE ANDREWS, WHY SHE 'FLED' HOLLYWOOD "I loved her from the minute I met her," she gushed. "There is never a bad moment with Julie Andrews – never. She's just the sweetest, most unbelievable, talented, brilliant human… I think we all have the same favorite memory to some extent. That was when she took out her guitar and she just sang to us. And she would have us sing with her in between the scenes to amuse us, to entertain us, to make the time pass. She was a pure delight." Plummer did not offer the same warm and fuzzy feeling, she said. "At the time, he was kind of standoffish," Karath admitted. "Very handsome, but I really wasn't noticing men being handsome at [age] five – actually let me correct myself. I noticed that George Chakiris was handsome when he was in 'West Side Story.'" But that all changed decades later. "There was an event for 9/11 at the Westport Country Playhouse… I went backstage to see him, and he was waiting for me. Paul Newman was the master of ceremonies. He and [his wife] Joanne Woodward grabbed me backstage and said, 'Your father's been pacing the floor, he's dying to see you!'… Such a lovely man. So courtly, charming and funny. Truly delightful."

Child stars of iconic movie reunite 60 years on for a holiday in Florence... but can you guess which beloved box office hit they starred in?
They starred in an iconic movie that made over $100 million at the box office as well as spawning some of the most beloved musical tunes of all time. And this week the child stars of The Sound Of Music proved their friendship is still strong sixty years after they met on set. Five of the seven actors who played Governess Maria's (played by Julie Andrews) charges have swapped Salzburg for Florence, reuniting for a holiday together. Kym Karath, 66, who played youngest von Trapp sibling Gretl, shared a group shot of the fivesome as they shared bottles of wine and a catchup in the Italian countryside. 'The Sound of Music in Florence - the five of us! #thesoundofmusicinflorence,' Kym captioned the photo. Kym posed alongside Nicholas Hammond, 75, who played the eldest von Trapp son Friedrich, Duane Chase, 74, who took on the role Kurt, Angela Cartwright, 72, who was Brigitta, and Debbie Turner, 68, who played her sister Marta. Sadly Heather Menzies-Urich, who played Louisa, died in 2017 at the age of 68 and Charmian Carr, who was the eldest sibling Liesl, died in 2016 aged 73. Christopher Pummer, who starred as the children's father, retired naval officer Captain von Trapp, also died - in 2021 at the age of 91. Kym gushed about the surviving group's enduring friendship in 2022, declaring: 'We're beyond friends. We're second family. As adults, we were deeply bonded, so our lives have really interwoven with each other.' The Sound Of Music went on to become a bonafide hit, earning the distinction of being the first film to gross over $100 million. Adjusted for inflation, The Sound Of Music earned about $2.366 billion at today's prices—placing it among the top ten highest-grossing films of all time. Kym, Nicholas, Duane, Angela and Debbie previously reunited in 2022 to support their on-screen governess-turned stepmother Julie Andrews, who received the American Film Institute's highest honour for a career in film at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Andrews was cast as Maria after Sound Of Music's director Robert Wise watched footage of the young actress in Mary Poppins, which hadn't yet been released. At the time the now-celebrated actress was unknown to audiences, having only acted in the unreleased Mary Poppins and another unscreened project. After watching just a few minutes of footage of Andrews, Wise told his screenwriter Ernest Lehman 'Let's go sign this girl before somebody else sees this film and grabs her!' Plummer meanwhile was a trickier casting, turning down the role multiple times before accepting on the assurance that he could work with Lehman to change certain character traits of the Captain which were part of the original 1959 stage musical. The casting of the child actors took place later in 1963 with over two hundred auditions across the US and England. The likes of Mia Farrow, Kurt Russell and The Osmonds all screen tested for the roles but were unsuccessful. Filming began at 20th Century-Fox studios in Los Angeles in Spring 1964 before production moved to Salzburg for the movie's iconic exterior scenes. Julie Andrews, who up to then was known as a Broadway actress, saw her fame soar after the release of Mary Poppins in December 1964 and The Sound Of Music just three months later. The film's child stars though had varying fortunes after the success of the movie. Liesl, played by Charmian Carr Charmian Carr played Liesl, the eldest of the von Trapp children, who famously sung '16 going on 17' and had a romance with Rolf Gruber, who eventually joins the Nazi party and betrayed the von Trapps. Charmian was studying speech therapy and philosophy at college when her mother arranged for her to audition for the Sound of Music. Afterwards she worked with Van Johnson on a pilot of a TV show, Take Her, She's Mine and went on to appear in Evening Primrose, a Stephen Sondheim musical. She quit Hollywood after marrying a dentist, Jay Brent (whom she divorced in 1991), to focus on raising her two daughters Jennifer and Emily, before becoming a successful interior designer. Later she became the grandmother of Emma and Derek. She died from complications related to dementia in September 2016, aged 73. Brigitta, played by Angela Cartwright British-born Angela was 13 when she played the role of 10-year-old Brigitta, but she already had a solid career as a child actress behind her. Aged three she appeared as Paul Newman's daughter in the film Somebody Up There Likes Me, and starred in seven seasons of the US TV series Make Room for Daddy. After The Sound of Music, she continued her acting career and starred in the TV series Lost in Space and Make Room for Granddaddy. But after having her two children - Jesse and Rebecca Gullion - she swapped acting for other artistic pursuits. She has been a photographer for more than 30 years and her work is displayed at her studio in Studio City, Los Angeles. In 2019 she made a cameo appearance as Dr. Smith's mother, Sheila Harris, in the third episode of the second season of the 2018 Netflix re-imagined Lost In Space series. Clearly acting talent runs in the family, her sister is X-files star Veronica Cartwright. Kurt, played by Duane Chase Duane was 15 years old when he took on the role of 11-year-old Kurt von Trapp. He continued acting until his teens, including an appearance in the 1966 Kurt Russell film, Follow Me, Boys! as well as acting in Western TV series The Big Valley. Chase switched gears in college, earning a bachelor's and master's degree in geology and working as a software engineer. He lives in Washington and is returning to wildlife and forestry work. He is married to Petra Maria, who was born in Hamburg, Germany and is a registered nurse. Friedrich, played by Nicholas Hammond: Actor and television writer The Sound Of Music was just the beginning of a flourishing career in entertainment for Nicholas Hammond. Left in the film, right last night The Sound Of Music was just the beginning of a flourishing career in entertainment for Nicholas Hammond. His best known role is probably his performance as Peter Parker in the television series The Amazing Spider-Man but movie buffs will always remember him as 14-year-old Friedrich describes himself as 'impossible' on introduction to Maria. After playing the eldest von Trapp son, he went on to play guest roles in popular shows such as The Love Boat, Magnum, P.I. and Murder, She Wrote as well as a recurring part in Dallas. In 2009, he made his directing debut with Lying Cheating Bastard, a play he co-wrote with magician James Galea. Hammond lives in Australia with his partner, actress Robyn Nevin, and is a writer for Australian television. He also has an English degree from Princeton to his name. In 2019 he portrayed director Sam Wanamaker in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Gretl, played by Kym Karath Five-year-old Karath stole hearts when she played the youngest von Trapp child Gretl. Roles in Lost In Space and The Brady Bunch followed, but after going to college at USC, she focused on parenting rather than performing when her son Eric was born with disabilities. Along with other parents, Karath helped establish the Aurelia Foundation, which provides services for special-needs individuals once they finish high school. She resumed her entertainment career as an actress and writer in 2005. Karath has said she still is not fond of water after nearly drowning in the boat scene in Sound of Music, because she couldn't swim. Louisa, played by Heather Menzies-Urich The Sound Of Music was Heather Menzies-Urich's first movie, and she continued to enjoy a successful acting career, appearing in films and TV shows such as Logan's Run, S.W.A.T and The Love Boat. She married John Cluett in 1969, but they divorced in 1973. She wed her second husband, actor Robert Urich, in 1975, and the couple adopted three children. Menzie-Urich stepped away from the limelight after Robert's death from a rare form of cancer in 2002. She set up the non-profit organisation The Robert Urich Foundation, which provides funding for cancer research and to help families relocate for specialised treatment, and dedicated her later years to the project. Menzies-Urich was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in November 2017 and died on December 24, 2017 - 21 days after her 68th birthday. Marta, played by Debbie Turner Debbie was as much an athlete as an actress as a child, and she opted for sports after playing Marta von Trapp. Before being cast as the cheeky six (almost seven!) year-old, she was already a seasoned commercial actress starring in ads promoting dolls, toys, cars, and food. But she stopped acting and the keen skier and mother-of-four began a new career as an interior designer and now owns a floral-design business in Minnesota. She was called on to provide flowers for a wedding in Salzburg, Austria, at a palace that inspired the sets of The Sound Of Music.

Coronation Street siblings look unrecognisable almost two decades on from ITV soap exit
CORONATION Street fans have been left stunned after spotting two former child stars looking totally unrecognisable. The twin sisters were last seen in Weatherfield 17 years ago - but do you recognise them? 5 5 Twin sisters, Emily and Amy Walton, shared the role of Bethany Platt for seven years from 2000 to 2007 on Coronation Street. The long-standing character first appeared on the cobbles back in 2000 and is the daughter of Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien). They were involved in some major dramatic storylines from being kidnapped by her paternal grandmother Brenda Fearns (Julia Deakin), to taking an ecstasy pill that her uncle had stashed inside of her doll and ended up hospitalised. However, Bethany left the cobbles in 2007 when Sarah decided to move to Italy. Since then, the twins have moved away from the acting and showbiz world. They competed in the British Trampoline finals in 2016, with Amy securing a place in Great Britain's team the European Championships the following year. Emily shared a snap with her sister on Instagram back in January - and the pair look worlds away from their Coronation Street days. They both beamed at the camera as they holidayed in Thailand. She captioned the snap: "The last of Thailand," alongside a yellow heart emoji. Meanwhile, when Bethany Platt returned in 2015, Lucy Fallon took over the role. Inside Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon's £300 per night holiday at luxury getaway She has brought drama and awareness through major storylines, including being groomed by Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and getting a stoma bag through botched surgery. The 29-year-old returned to Corrie in December 2023 after having previously left in 2019 to go on maternity leave after welcoming her first child, Sonny, in early 2023. The actress then revealed she was leaving again shortly after she announced she was pregnant with her second child, who she gave birth to in January with partner Ryan Ledson. Despite exiting twice, the door has always being left open for her to return - but Lucy has now hinted she's quit for good. Soap characters who've been recast Soap operas are staple viewing for many people, but even some of the most famous characters have been played by different actors. Here are some examples from over the years. Coronation Street Tracy Barlow: Kate Ford took on the role of Corrie legend Tracy Barlow in 2002. Before Kate, three other actresses had played Tracy - most notably Dawn Acton from 1988 to 1999. Nick Tilsley: Ben Price has been playing Gail's oldest child in 2009, but the former Footballers' Wives star is the third actor to take on the part. Sarah Platt: Although Tina O'Brien debuted as Sarah Platt in 1999, she is the third actress who has played the iconic role of Sarah Platt. David Platt: Completing the line-up of Gail's children, David was initially played by Thomas Ormson for a decade before Jack P. Shepherd took over. Daniel Osbourne: For almost a decade, the role of Ken Barlow's son Daniel has been portrayed by actor Rob Mallard. Before Rob joined, two other actors had previously played Daniel. Bethany Platt: Fans know Lucy Fallon as Bethany nowadays but before her, three other actresses had stepped into the character's shoes. Kirk Sutherland: Before Andy Whyment took on the role of Kirk, he played by an uncredited actor in his very first appearance. Todd Grimshaw: Gareth Pierce stepped into the role of Todd back in 2020, becoming the second performer to play this part. Summer Spellman: Harriet Bibby became the second actress to play Summer, taking over the role from Matilda Freeman in 2020. Ryan Connor: Ryan Prescott currently plays the long-running character, but Ben Thompson and Sol Heras had earlier portrayed the role. EastEnders Martin Fowler: Although Martin was the first baby born on-screen in EastEnders, he hasn't always been played by the same person. His current portrayer, James Bye, is the third actor to star as the character. Peter Beale: Seven actors have portrayed Ian Beale's elder son, with the current actor, Thomas Law, in his second stint as the character. Ben Mitchell: Ben has been played by a total of six actors - with Max Bowden bowing out of the role in March 2024. Bobby Beale: Before Clay Milner Russell, Ian's younger son had been played by four other actors. Freddie Slater: Bobby's best mate, Freddie Slater, had been previously played by twins Alex and Tom Kilby before Bobby Brazier took over in 2022. Chelsea Fox: Former Coronation Street actress Zaraah Abrahams took over the role of Chelsea in 2020. The character had been first played by Tiana Benjamin from 2006 to 2010. Lauren Branning: Jacqueline Jossa took on the role of Lauren in 2010, succeeding Madeline Duggan who'd played her from 2006 to 2010. Johnny Carter: Johnny has been played by three actors since debuting in 2013 - most recently, Charlie Suff has taken on the role. The soap star has signed up to talent agent Off Limits, which help TV stars and influencer clients land brand deals, which goes against ITV's strict rules for their cast. While Coronation Street does allow product placement on the show, like with the Co-op and Costa Coffee, the cast is generally restricted from doing their own brand deals. This has caused some tension, with actors expressing frustration at being able to promote products on the show but not off-screen. The Sun have reached out to Lucy's rep for comment. A slew of mid-salary stars is furious that ITV bosses have agreed to the money-spinning deal to have the high street giants' shopfronts and products on-screen on the expanded new set. But at the same time, cast members are banned from taking ad work promoting products away from the soap that could massively boost their earnings. ITV rules state that the stars are only allowed to take part in other shows like I'm A Celebrity and Dancing on Ice and do personal appearances like shop openings. It comes after Jack P Shepherd is set to be bombarded with big money deals after winning Celebrity Big Brother. But any plans to cash in by signing up to star in television adverts will be blocked by Coronation Street bosses. A TV insider said: "It used to be a lot more strict, but these days ITV soap stars are allowed certain partnerships that are permitted on social media. "The line is drawn at advertising more generally - and absolutely no TV adverts." 5 5 5

90s child star breaks silence after fans fear over her 'disappearance'
Mrs. Doubtfire star responded to recent claims that she has 'vanished' following the peak of her career. The actress, 46, who starred as the eldest Hillard daughter Lydia in the classic 1993 family film, hit back at the assertion after she was named in an article on The List titled: 'Once-popular child stars who completely vanished'. Jakub reposted the article to her Instagram, writing, 'Big news, everyone. I've just found out that I have "completely vanished."' 'Was it my current lack of popularity that made me vanish?' Jakub, who also starred in the 1996 blockbuster Independence Day, questioned in her caption. 'I'm not sure how I was able to evaporate entirely (have I been a wizard all along?), but as soon as we have more information, I'm sure this publication will let you know.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The actress starred as the eldest Hillard daughter Lydia in the classic 1993 family film alongside the late Robin Williams; Pictured in a still Her fans took to the comments to agree with the star, with one joking, 'With superpowers like that they need you in the next marvel movie.' Another added, 'I was about to go on a rant in your defense until I saw this was posted by you. 'She's still around! She does a great email newsletter! She's on social media!'' 'Oh my goodness! Please keep us updated if you reappear!' another quipped. 'I want to learn this trick,' another added. Despite stepping back from her career, Lisa has been active on social media. Jakub now works as a yoga instructor and also runs mindfulness retreats for veterans suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Aside from Mrs. Doubtfire and Independence Day, her other roles included the 1997 Comedy/Romance The Beautician and the Beast and Rambling Rose (1991), where she starred alongside Laura Dern. Last year Lisa revealed that her late onscreen father, Robin, defended her after she was expelled from high school while filming Mrs. Doubtfire in 1993. Lisa played one of Robin's three onscreen children in the classic comedy film, alongside Matthew Lawrence and Mara Wilson. The actress shared that Williams had noticed she was upset and when she told him her school kicked her out he personally wrote a letter to her principal. 'I got thrown out of high school on Doubtfire,' Jakub said while appearing on a Mrs. Doubtfire reunion episode with her movie siblings Mara and Matthew, on Lawrence's Brotherly Love podcast. 'The amazing thing was Robin saw that I was upset,' she recalled. 'He asked me what was going on. I explained. He wrote a letter to my principal saying that he wanted them to rethink this decision, that I was just trying to pursue my education and my career at the same time and could they please support me in this.' Lisa explained that she was expelled due to the filming schedule. 'I'm Canadian. I was attending high school in Canada, then I left for four months to film the movie. We were going to set up this system, pre-internet, where I'd mail my school work back and forth to the school. We did that for a while.' However, the school decided that the system was not going to continue. 'My school in Canada sent a note saying, "You know, this isn't working for us anymore. Don't come back."' Jakub was in the ninth grade at the time and remembered being heartbroken by the news. 'It was just so heartbreaking, because you know I had this life that was very unusual and that was the one normal thing.' Though Robin's letter did not get her re-admitted, Jakub shared that her principal had proudly displayed the letter in his office. 'This principal got the letter, framed the letter, put it up in the office … and didn't ask me to come back,' she said. Lisa later got her GED and studied writing at the University of Virginia. Based on the novel Madame Doubtfire, the 1993 movie stars Robin as a floundering voice actor called Daniel who gets divorced and loses custody of his children. Daniel comes up with a harebrained scheme to see more of his little ones - go into drag as a Scottish nanny and get hired by his ex-wife Miranda (Sally Field). After decades struggling with bipolar disorder and addiction, Robin committed suicide in 2014 at the age of 63 by hanging himself with a belt. To mark 30 years since the film's release, its director Chris Columbus fondly told Business Insider he kept 'four cameras' running at all times to 'keep up with' Robin. In fact, Robin was such a whirlwind of improvisation that Chris still has '972 boxes of footage' from Mrs. Doubtfire - and hopes to use some of it in a documentary. 'Early on in the process, he went to me: "Hey boss, the way I like to work, if you're up for it, is I'll give you three or four scripted takes, and then let's play,"' Chris recalled. 'By saying that, what he meant was he wanted to improvise. And that's exactly how we shot every scene. We would have exactly what was scripted, and then Robin would go off and it was something to behold.' Chris revealed that he hopes to go back into his massive stockpiles of footage from Mrs. Doubtfire to piece together a documentary about Robin's process. 'There are roughly 972 boxes of footage from Doubtfire - footage we used in the movie, outtakes, behind-the-scenes footage - in a warehouse somewhere and we would like to hire an editor to go in and look at all of that footage,' he said. 'We want to show Robin's process. There is something special and magical about how he went about his work and I think it would be fun to delve into it.'
