Legendary classic rock group the Steve Miller Band have cancelled their entire 2025 tour. The band's official social media accounts released a statement on Wednesday, blaming acts of God for the decision, much to the dismay of their fans. 'Dear Steve Miller Band fans, You make music with your instincts, You live your life by your instincts. Always trust your instincts,' the statement from the band — comprised of Steve Miller, Kenny Lee Lewis, Joseph Wooten, Jacob Petersen, and Ron Wikso — began. 'The Steve Miller Band has cancelled all of our upcoming tour dates,' the announcement from the 'Fly Like An Eagle' group went on to say. 'The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. So… You can blame it on the tour is cancelled.' They wrapped up the post writing, 'Don't know where, don't know when… We hope to see you all again. Wishing you all Peace, Love and Happiness, Please take care of each other. Steve, The Band and the Crew.' 'The combination of extreme heat, unpredictable flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and massive forest fires make these risks for you our audience, the band and the crew unacceptable. The group had 31 dates scheduled for their American tour, which was supposed to kick off on August 15 in Bethel, N.Y. before coming to an end in Anaheim, California on November 8, according to Variety. Many fans were confused and disappointed by the reasoning behind the cancellation. 'Are you serious? I'm a big fan and got tickets for this tour, but next time please find a bette excuse,' one irate fan wrote on X. 'This really doesn't make sense. There is no imminent danger. Play indoors?' 'All these things have always existed. To blame it on the weather sounds a little suspect.' 'Better stay in bed everyday, something bad might happen otherwise…too risky,' another joked. 'You're canceling all tours... because of nature? That is matter-of-fact dumb.' 'I'm surprised you have the courage to simply exist another day with so much weather happening.' 'Just say u didnt sell enough tickets,' yet another fan chimed in. The rock band, known for hits like 'Rock 'N Me' and 'Take the Money and Run', formed in San Francisco in 1966. He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022. After it was revealed that Miller would be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, without the band, he told Rolling Stone, 'It wasn't my decision, and I didn't have any input into any of it.' 'If they had asked me what do, I think I would have said, "Here's a list of everyone that was ever in my band. They all ought to be here."' Notable past members include Boz Scaggs, Lonnie Turner, Gary Mallaber, Norton Buffalo, and Billy Peterson.

Iconic Rocker Wife, 81, Shares Never Before Seen Photo of Ex-Husband and Mick Jagger
Iconic Rocker Wife, 81, Shares Never Before Seen Photo of Ex-Husband and Mick Jagger originally appeared on Parade. Iconic classic rock muse and wife Pattie Boyd shared a never before seen photo of ex-husband Eric Clapton and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger to celebrate the anniversary of the epic Live Aid show in 1985. '40 years since Live Aid this weekend, wow! I took this picture of Eric and Mick the night before the show in Philadelphia,' Boyd, 81, captioned the photo of Clapton, 80, and Jagger, 81, looking much younger as they sat engrossed in conversation on a couch. 'We checked-in to the Four Seasons Hotel, I believe, and Mick came to our room for a chat.' Live Aid was performed simultaneously in Wembley Stadium in London and JFK Stadium in Philadelphia on July 13, 1985. It featured iconic acts like Queen, David Bowie, The Who, Elton John, Joan Baez, Black Sabbath, The Beach Boys, Simple Minds, Led Zeppelin, and many more across the two venues. Both Clapton and Jagger played the show in New York, with the 'Layla' singer being joined by Phil Collins and the Stones vocalist joining forces with Tina Turner for his set. As for Boyd, she first became involved with legendary musicians when she was cast as an extra in the beloved Beatles movie A Hard Day's Night, which led her to have a featured role as a woman the band tries to briefly court. She naturally met George Harrison because of her involvement in the film and the pair went on to date for several years before marrying in 1966. The couple ended up divorcing 11 years later in 1977 due to a blossoming romance between Boyd and Clapton, who was a good friend of Harrison's. The model and the musician — who previously played with The Yardbirds, Derek and the Dominos, and Creem — wed in 1979, though they too only lasted a decade as a couple. They divorced in 1989 — and by that time, Boyd had been said to have inspired several songs by both Harrison and Clapton, including The Beatles' 'Something' and Clapton's 'Layla.'
